The Wave Chapter 36: A Vile Superstition

As we proceeded with our interaction with the Cassiopaeans, we slowly, but surely, came to the idea of the Matrix reality. Of course, in those early days, we had no metaphor for what we were learning, and we certainly were charting little-known territory of soul dynamics. The idea of a theological drama between the gods or higher level beings of both the positive and negative orientation was the major theme.

Certainly, this is not an entirely new idea, but it was being expressed to us in scientific terms of hyperdimensional physics and we were being encouraged to explore and perceive it for one very simple reason: awareness. The Cassiopaeans had told us that it was awareness that binds us to our reality, and by becoming aware, interactively, with the higher reality, we are stretching beyond our normal human limitations. And, when we expand our awareness, as well as act upon higher awareness, we are nurturing that part of ourselves that ultimately grows to “fit” the higher levels, and we then graduate.

Someone once said that there are two reasons a person does a thing: the reason they give, and the real reason. We had some idea that there was actually a deeper reason beyond the psychological one, and that this was, so to say, the theological reason, which manifested and utilized the real reason, and we were seeking to penetrate to that theological reality.

All the members of the group were widely read in the various subjects of metaphysics, philosophy, and even science to some extent, and all of us felt that there was some significant piece missing that would be the key to unlock our understanding. We were searching for that key. We knew that when a person views any given situation from the strictly human perspective, without considering psychological dynamics, they are subject to the pitfalls of “the real reason.” We knew that the teachings of love and light had been promulgated for a very long time, but for some reason, such ideas only seemed to lead to more and greater misery.

It was actually in terms of principles that we gradually learned to discern the theological drama, and at this point, we have certainly learned even more, and quite deeply at that. That there were psychological issues where Frank was concerned was always apparent to all of us. We didn’t think too much of this except in terms of sympathy and learning to interact with it, and our own as well. The idea that Frank’s issues were clues to his core being were just simply not part of anything we wished to consider, and in that respect, we were acting out an obsession, a refusal to see the truth.

Learning to navigate the labyrinth of human relations, to be able to discern the real reason behind the actions of those people we interacted with, was an early concern. Unfortunately, as already noted, this was often skewed by Frank’s powerful negative reactions to many people, and, for the most part, such direct questions about anyone he either disliked or favored ought to be discarded. A prime example is Richard Hoagland.

By this time, all of us had read the Ra Material, suggested very early by the Cs, though in a session that was neither recorded on tape nor in notes, so I can’t reproduce the exact remarks here. It had been indicated that this was a primer and would save a lot of time if we could grasp the essential concepts about service-to-self and service-to-others. In this seemingly simple concept, we began to discern the reason behind the real reason, or the manifestation of the theological drama.

We began to realize, slowly at first, that a person could have psychological issues, and still be oriented to service-to-others. They could also be oriented to serving self. By the same token, a person could appear to have no disabling psychological issues at all, and be completely oriented to serving the self. We began to learn that closing our ears to the words that other people use to beguile us, and observing only the actions, was the key to discernment.

These terms, “service-to-others” and “service-to-self”, are inextricably mixed up with the idea of love. On an individual basis, we may say that we love this or that person, and want to serve them, but then the question arises: which part of them are we serving? The higher part that seeks spiritual growth and union with God, or the lower part that seeks survival in the flesh? When we help someone who keeps making the same mistakes over and over again, we are clearly interfering in their lessons. What, then, are we serving? Most likely ourselves because we are then able to “feel good” that we are so “long suffering” and “patient” and “self-sacrificing,” because we can certainly see, from the evidence of our eyes, that the other person isn’t making any progress by virtue of our efforts. And, it may be a far more difficult thing to deny assistance, to refuse association with them, particularly when it is someone we love, because it “hurts us to see them hurt.” Yet, that may be the very thing needed in order for them to grow – to be left to their own suffering until they have had enough so that they will begin to see their own way out of the difficulty, thereby building soul strength and accessing their own powers and inner potentials.

But, we run into a problem of judgment here: aren’t we judging whether the person is really asking from the soul level or the level of the flesh? And, can’t we be wrong?

How do we know when our giving is violating another’s free will? Well, we do have a little bit of a clue in many ancient teachings about “asking.” The stories say: “ask and you shall receive.” But, if you study this idea, you find that what they really say is “ask and keep on asking, and it shall be given you; seek and keep on seeking, and you shall find; knock and keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”

There are a number of Jesus’ parables that illustrate this point, particularly the “Friend at Midnight,” found in the Gospel of Luke 11:5–13. The same teaching is standard procedure among the yogis of India and Tibet. A sufficient effort must be made by the supplicant before a response is made. In some cases, it takes years of asking! So, a good general rule to follow is that true asking is accompanied by sincere effort on the part of the one asking, and they must have done all that is in their power to achieve that for which they are asking.

And so we began to learn that sometimes, serving others, in the human sense of the word, is merely the serving of the STS part of the person, the third density aspect of the flesh, and is not true STO in the sense of achieving higher balance. If you give a child candy every time they ask for it, because you “love” them, or seek to “serve them” by meeting their every request, are you truly “serving” them? Even if their constant diet of candy leads to their ultimate physical death from diabetes? If you intercede for your child every time he misbehaves in life, and prevent his experience of the consequences, how will he grow up?

Another aspect that needs to be understood is this: In third density, we are all Serving Self in one way or another. We cannot, by our very nature of existence in the flesh that must consume to survive, be pure STO beings. That’s the bottom line. And, it is in the understanding of this, the acceptance of it and then focusing on learning the lessons of this estate in which we find our being, becoming, at the very least, aware, and acting on that awareness to whatever extent possible, that we have the chance of becoming “STO candidates.”

And that is accomplished by becoming aware of the soul dynamics which express the battle between the higher-level beings of both the STS and STO orientation, and then choosing which dynamic one wishes to align with, and acting on that choice. The Cassiopaeans say knowledge protects, and from their perspective, it is not knowledge until it is applied – before that, it is merely a collection of data and facts.

And so we come to the idea that if a person is viewing this present situation we are discussing from a strictly human view, without considering the soul dynamics involved, then it certainly would seem to be merely a “tempest in a teapot” or a “petty squabble” or even a “lack of harmony.” From the human perspective, most of what occurs in interpersonal dynamical interactions is so judged. It is that very human judgment that we are being challenged to see through! It is in seeing the unseen that we become aware of higher levels of being; it is in ordinary human interactions that we experience the battles between the forces of STS and STO! And it is most definitely this factor that the Matrix Control System vigorously attempts to conceal!

About these times in which we live, and these very matters we are discussing, Jesus said, “Be careful that no one misleads you … many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error … for false Christs and false prophets will arise, and they will show great signs and wonders so as to deceive and lead astray, if possible, even the elect. See, I have warned you beforehand” (Matthew 24:4, 11, 24–25). “Do not think that I have come to bring peace upon the earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to part asunder a man from his father, and a daughter from her mother, and a newly married wife from her mother-in-law; and a man’s foes will be they of his own household” (Matthew 10:34–36).

The apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 6:11–12: “Put on God’s whole armor, that you may be able successfully to stand up against all the strategies and the deceits of the devil. For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, contending with physical opponents, but against the despotisms, against the powers, against the master spirits who are the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness and the heavenly sphere.” Hebrews 4:12: “For the word that God speaks is alive and full of power; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life and the spirit, and of joints and marrow, exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.”

Those of you who have read Fulcanelli and other alchemical works will immediately recognize the elements of the Great Work revealed in the above quotes from “Jesus” and “Paul.”

Such passages in the Bible have generally been utilized by various Christian religions to justify murder and war. But this is exactly the problem we are dealing with here. They were read and interpreted in the STS version of physical swords and hate, giving themselves the authority to arbitrate who was saved and who was not. And of course, all of those who were “saved” and under the aegis of the church, must then subscribe only to the “peace and harmony” and “love and light” teachings: turn the other cheek, or “ignore it and it will go away,” or “it’s just a squabble.” Choosing truth means choosing to take responsibility for one’s self and one’s own actions. The ordinary human interpretation that is generally put on such things is a mechanical reaction from the why-can’t-we-all-just-make-nice-and-get-along school of thought. And that is precisely what the Matrix Control System promotes.

Since the church was promoting a religion of passivity, with themselves as the beneficiaries, it is not likely that they would have left the above sayings (and similar ones) in the Bible unless they were widely known, and people would have noticed their absence. What is certain is that they made no effort to have them be understood in their proper context of learning to be aware of the hyperdimensional realities, and to act on the clues of this higher truth.

When we understand that sword, in the terminology of Jesus, meant truth (or word of God), then it makes more sense. When we understand the hating of the father or mother in the context of refusing to be controlled or manipulated even by family members, because they may, indeed, be representatives of the forces of the STS alignment, it puts it in an entirely different context.

The Cassiopaean presentation of our reality as being a Control Matrix that keeps us in a prison, and uses us for food or energy, was naturally distressing. This was not a new idea to me, because, of course, I was entirely familiar with the teachings of Gurdjieff on the subject, but having such a clinical description of it, the pointing out of the mechanism and how it works through our very human interactions, was almost unbearable. I hadn’t yet read Castaneda, so I didn’t realize that, in his last book, he would reveal much the same thing, which he had not made entirely clear in his earlier work. I also had not read Fulcanelli and discerned his own teachings on the subject. Each of them, in their own time and context revealed this apparent truth in the best way they could, considering the dangers to which they were exposed by the very system they sought to reveal. But it was in the teachings of Jesus that I was most surprised to discover that he had most likely been saying the exact same things the Cassiopaeans were saying.

When we examine the New Testament, when we remove the obvious gloss of the Egyptian resurrection myth, we are left with the clearly gnostic teachings that the “God of this world” is an “evil magician!” When the reader is fully informed about the variations on these two themes, it is almost pathetically easy to read the New Testament and see what might be original to “Jesus,” and what was added by the creators of Christianity as we know it. I will refer the reader to chapter five of my book The Secret History of the World for a more in depth discussion of the early Christians.

The medieval Cathars appear to have been carriers of part of the original ideas taught by the man we have come to know as Jesus. Curiously, their view on marriage seems to have been that if you bring a child into the world, you are perpetuating darkness because this world is ruled by beings that can invade the mind, and thereby further entrap the soul. This idea has recently been brought forward in a most interesting way. Dr. David Jacobs, professor of History at Temple University (Dr. Jacobs wrote his Ph.D. thesis on the history of the UFOs) wrote about his extensive research into the alien abduction phenomenon. Dr. Jacobs says that now, after all of these years of somewhat rigorous research that he knows what the aliens are here for and he is afraid. David Jacobs says that producing offspring is the primary objective behind the abduction phenomenon. And we might suspect that producing offspring that are more nutritious would be similar to our own breeding of cattle to be meatier or hybridizing of plants to be more productive per acre, is a good comparison. As above, so below, in more ways than we ever suspected.

We find here a strange and frightening connection between the alien abduction phenomenon and the teachings of the Cathars. And, if it is so that the Cathars were following a form of Christianity that was closer to what the real Jesus taught, then the entire mystery begins to make sense. Apparently what “Jesus” taught was the reality of hyperdimensional beings who can travel in time, invade and control the mind, and whose primary source of nourishment is human beings – either physically or mentally or emotionally. Don Juan said: “They took over because we are food for them, and they squeeze us mercilessly because we are their sustenance. Just as we rear chickens in chicken coops, the predators rear us in human coops. Therefore, their food is always available to them.” And how did don Juan say they can do this and get away with it? Because they “gave us their mind.”

What is this Predator’s mind that don Juan talks about?

When you put the various pieces of the puzzle together, what you find is that the Predator’s mind, the “hypnosis” that Gurdjieff talked about, the Matrix Control System interface with our bio-cosmic computers, our bodies, is our DNA which is controlled and restricted by the generation of specific brain chemicals via the control of our emotions. This is what determines the way our brains and nervous systems are set up, which includes certain early periods of imprinting (this subject will be discussed in a future volume of The Wave), which establishes our circuitry and thinking processes at an age and under conditions over which we have no control. And once those circuits are set up in a certain way, they can almost never be changed without a major meltdown, and they determine forever after how all incoming information is categorized. Indeed, we all have reptilian DNA. But we also have avian DNA. In fact, we are a veritable smorgasbord of DNA from all that exists around us. Nevertheless, something is going on that puts the reptilian DNA in control, and it is in that context that don Juan means that the “Predator gave us his mind.”

Also, that these Control Programs, these chemicals of feeding, can be and are stimulated and perpetuated through our interactions with other human beings, most especially those closest to us, is a cold, hard fact of science.

About 50 percent of the consciousness of the All consists of the thought of not creating, non-being. In the emergence of this thought, necessitated by the definition of All, which includes all, including the thought of non-being, service-to-self becomes the pathway to “sleeping matter” with which the creative Spiritual half plays. This means that in the cycling of consciousness, some matter is “spiritualized” and some consciousness is “matterized.”

Consciousnesses that follow the path of STS and do not choose to spiritualize, have chosen to be matterized – it’s a choice, and it’s free will, and does not require our forgiveness or our judgment that it is wrong or that it needs to be fixed in that other person. However, as we already have seen, that matterizing consciousness tends to be moving in the direction of the “black hole” thought center. And it is this Predator’s mind that teaches a form of “love” that is based on the STS principles of deception, manipulation, control, and subsumption to a single individual so as to fulfill the function of the black hole reflection of regeneration of primal matter. And that is our problem. When we dance with it, there is the danger of our being matterized also. We lose virtue in such interactions … and I use the term in its original sense.

Those folks who choose the path of matterizing of consciousness become less and less conscious of what is and more and more focused on their wishful thinking and warping of reality around their own ideas. And as we have learned from Jesus, Gurdjieff and the gnostic Sufis, Castaneda, and the Cassiopaeans, the rules of this world in which we live were set up and are controlled by this STS hierarchy and have been for a very long time. Each and every time the revelation of this Control System is attempted, the Matrix goes into overdrive to destroy it. And it is clear that this is the present situation.

In other words, we are not just talking about a petty dispute, we are talking about a battle of forces at other levels, manifesting – as always – in human dynamics.

Thus, at this crucial level of existence, where the choice must be made as to whether or not the path of matter or spirit is followed, clear boundaries must be set and, in actuality, those sayings of Jesus that were quoted above relate to this problem.

It seems to be our greatest task to determine from the clues we can glean from our reality exactly who is or is not of the alignment we choose, and to act upon that knowledge. It is up to us to decide who or what we dance with because there are many invitations to dance with the devil.

It is in this sense that Castaneda discussed what he called systematic harassment of the petty tyrant. Once the individual has a small clue, or set of clues, that they are dancing with the devil, they need to really know for certain if it is so, or if it is merely another deception of the Matrix. And so, systematic harassment is the key to discovery. If an individual is, truly, of the STS persuasion, this activity, described in some detail in the book The Fire From Within, outlines the strategy for both identifying and becoming free from the feeding of the STS hierarchy acting through human beings in our dynamical relationships.

Unfortunately, just as the church misrepresented – deliberately – Jesus’ words about swords and hating one’s family members, so do very few people today fully comprehend the principle of systematic harassment as a tool for becoming free of control. They know the words in the context of matterizing, but are not able to perceive the spirit – because it is not in them. But, we will come to that soon enough in this narrative.

It is in the details that we are writing about here that the reader will learn the essence of becoming aware of the theological drama that is enacted in our lives. And it is in this awareness, and acting on the awareness of the spirit, and not the common definition of words and deeds, that we establish a bond to the higher realms, and thereby become a candidate for graduation.
