Adam Abraham - Phaelosopher - Jim Humble and MMS

truth seeker

The Living Force
So today I found a video on the Natural News site about Jim Humble that I'll link to below. Seems it's more damage control. The person producing it it Adam Abraham also known as Phaelosopher on the internet. We decided to start a link on this and so I need some of you to see what you can find on him and give your impressions.

Can we say "fruitcake"?

This seems to be Adam Abraham's rather slick looking blog:

_http://phaelosopher.wordpress.com/about/

Having always been the philosophical type, Adam Abraham has long conducted dialogues and conversations with the world, although no one took much notice. Author of an existential book for kids titled, I Am My Body, NOT!, publisher of Sun Ra: Collected Works Vol. 1, Immeasurable Equation, and, Transdermal Magnesium Therapy, his thoughts go deep, as they come from deep inside him; not from the mind, but from the heart.

2008 starts off with the release of another perception breaking project, a documentary titled, Understanding MMS: Conversations with Jim Humble. Sit a spell with Adam’s thoughts on life, love, health, wealth, and transformation.

Question is: who is this guy and where did he come from and when?

Re: Adam Abraham/Phaelosopher

Okay, the internet archive has him showing up with the blog above in 2006. I'm archiving all of it but here are a few clips that tell us a bit about the guy:

CHICAGO, IL — This week we’re in Chicago, where I’ll participate in a symposium for the art exhibit, “Traveling the Spaceways”, at the Hyde Park Art Center. The exhibit and symposium explores the topic of Sun Ra, and “will investigate the impact of Sun Ra and Afrofuturism on American history and visual culture.”

I was invited in part, due to a family connection. My father, Alton Abraham (1933-1999), was Sun Ra’s producer, manager, founder of El Saturn Records and Ihnfinity, Inc. In addition, in 2005 I published a collection of his cosmic poetry, Sun Ra: Collected Works Vol. 1 - Immeasurable Equation (ISBN 0-9700209-7-X Phaelos Books).

The book’s publication honored my father’s work with Sun Ra, and the spirit that consistently characterized their effors during their earthly lifetimes. It was a spirit of inspiration, determination, and clarity with respect to embracing the highest intent for the greatest number.

They wanted to help humankind awaken to the larger universe that we are an integral part of. To them, outer space and spirituality were a synonomous unity. Through a wide body of work, they presented a view where angels and demons played together over (or under) interstellar low ways, gently moved hither and yon by “my brother the wind”.

They traveled the spaceways creating cosmic tones for mental therapy on other planes of there. In one giant holiday for a soul dance, they played jazz in silhouette, tempting fate in a pleasant mood. Whether it made sense to others was unimportant. It all made sense to them. Now, over 50 years after it all started in Chicago, it’s starting to make sense to us.

Even today, these are extraordinary positions to take for most people. Most people, whether they are performers, polititians, or presidents, look for a comfortable place within the familiar to stake their position. No one embraced the unknown and seemingly out of reach, as publically and perhaps, loudly, as Sun Ra. Some may have thought he was even out of touch, but we are now beginning to feel the touch of his tones, as the 21st Century begins catching its stride.

While Sun Ra was the public personna for the group’s cosmic philosophy, my dad chose to be behind the scenes, handling everything from scheduling concerts and recording sessions and paying the band, to album production, design and packaging.

With the assistance of life-long friend James Bryant and Madelyn Friedman, his companion and life-partner for over 40 years, dad had the components needed to transform the group’s performances into recorded works that have had a profound effect on many, to the extent that Sun Ra’s Saturn discs remain highly sought after prizes among music collectors today.

Later today, Mayor Richard M. Daley will be present at a dedication of the Art Center. Several local publications have listed the exhibit as one of the top things places to see in Chicago; where the King Tut exhibit graphically dominates facade of the Museum of Natural History. But perhaps it just means that King Tut is so yesterday, and Sun Ra is still, tomorrow.

As Magnesium Ions Go, So Goes Our Health

As a function of turning a collection of ideas in manuscript form into a new book, I have spent the better part of this year living with the subject of magnesium. I’ve learned its critical importance to our health, some of the consequences of magnesium deficiency (and there are many), the fact that food sources today make it virtually impossible to provide the body with sufficient magnesium, making supplementation necessary, not optional.

I’ve also learned about the various forms of supplementation, and how they relate to the one that our body responds best to, that is, when, as a result of availability of magnesium chloride, magnesium is passed into the body through the skin, or in a word, transdermal.

My learning came as a result of reading the manuscript of Mark Allan Sircus, Ac., OMD, whom I met in 2000 through mutual membership in a Yahoo Group called GIATI (meaning “God Is All That Is”).

A renegade, sometimes combative thinker, and passionate feeler for humanity, Mark was an ideological lightning rod amongst the community of New Thought ministers, metaphysicians, and resonant thinkers. Not being ministers, Mark, as well as myself were among the contingent of resonant thinkers.

Passion sometimes runs close to the line of civility, sometimes crossing over into combative interactions, particularly when some are drawn to activism, while others are not. Mark was, and is an activist at heart. However, we operated in an implicitly passive environment. While minds opted to come together in openness to the ideas that came through cyberspace to our computer screens, it was difficult to translate and organize common interests into common purposes. I believe this became a source of frustration for Mark, and sometimes irritation to the people whose “positions” he may have awakened or challenged.

He eventually left the mailing list, which has been a much quieter, and so some extent, less energetic place since then. I won’t say it’s all because of Mark’s leaving; many other factors have been at work, but it would probably liven up if he returned. However, he busied himself with other issues and opportunities. After leaving the GIATI group in 2002, Mark founded his own, called, The Oneness Project.

Again, it was a cyber gathering of like minded people in disparate locations around the world, with Mark himself residing for a time in a remote location in the interior of Brazil. He has since moved to a more “urban” town near the coast, but he’s still far removed from mainstream centers of influence. However, one beauty of the internet is the ease with which it allows people to stay in touch. Although we did not find a way to affect some form of mass awakening or change, we knew of each other. The Oneness Project also became mostly quiet, but its persistence is why I became aware of Mark’s manuscript in the first place.

In 2005 Mark wrote a series of articles on mercury poisoning through mandatory vaccination policies; particularly its impact on children. He also spoke out against the use of dental amalgam fillings, which slowly seep mercury into the bloodstream and lodge itself in various parts of the body. The effects of these practices, combined with the steady decline in nutritional value of our foods, has shown itself in the earlier onset and steady rise in chronic diseases, including autism and type II diabetes in children. Yet, while they got my attention and compassionate interest, it was not enough to pull my attention away from events going on in my own life. So there’s much more all ready in the works from Mark Sircus.

His magnesium manuscript struck me differently because instead of being angry and outraged, as some of his mercury essays had struck me, it had a hopeful voice. This is not to say that outrage about mercury practices and politics today was not warranted. He uses plenty of reference citations to back up his claims. However, it became evident that this information on magnesium, and particularly the intake of magnesium through the skin, or transdermally, could in fact counteract, if not supersede, the effects of mercury and other forms of intoxication, even while re-igniting many other bio-beneficial processes that have deteriorated due to the sub-nutritional value of our food.

The importance of magnesium intake is not new. It was the availability of magnesium in a form that the body could absorb transdermally, that made his manuscript a potential paradigm shifter for me. Magnesium chloride is a natural residual product of the process of producing sea salt. Any time we are in the ocean, we experience, and benefit from the transdermal intake of the mineral nutrients that the sea water contains, including magnesium.

What makes the transdermal entry of magnesium so important is a physiological response that happens no other way. During its conversion to ionic form while passing through the fatty tissue of the skin, magnesium sets off a cascading chain of events that result in natural DHEA production. Discovered by Dr. Norman Shealy, this is the only intake method that results in a net increase in DHEA.

If this weren’t fantastic enough, transdermal magnesium intake, which takes the guesswork out of replenishment, has shown positive results for people who suffer from a wide range of chronic illnesses. Clearly, evidence supports the contention that most people with chronic diseases are magnesium deficient. Raising magnesium levels almost invariably yields improvements in one’s health.

The one single thing that impressed me the most from reading Mark’s manuscript was the sense that this information could help tens and hundreds of thousands, even millions of people affect an improvement in their health status, whether they are suffering from an insidious chronic disease, or are relatively healthy. In fact, even those who are considered the healthiest people, athletes, need, and would benefit from transdermal magnesium replenishment.

As of this time of writing, we are at the very beginning of the publishing cycle; the announcing phase. Mark and I have labored long to transform the information contained in the Microsoft Word file that he originally sent me, into a living, breathing book that readers can use as a reference tool, or give to others as gifts. The early results have been promising. Three magazines, Well Being Journal (Nov/Dec 2006), Namasté Magazine (
UK) (Nov/Dec 2006), and Four Corners Magazine (Dec 2006/Jan 2007) have published entire selected chapters from the book. The large scale education process hasn’t even started yet. But it’s on the horizon. From time-to-time I’ll let you know how it’s going.

My ‘Existential’ First Book

I Am My Body, NOT! Cover ArtJust like the piano and acoustic guitar, just like the pen and paper, books will never go out of style. As important as the computer has become, and all the derivative gadgets that depend on microprocessors and mass storage, books will remain the most viable medium for the external exchange of ideas for generations to come. Where electricity is not available, when batteries have worn down, or technology has been superseded, there will be books. And while even they may not be forever, they will ever be fundamental to humanity’s ability to transform itself.

I have authored three books thus far, with one in print and another two delayed, but on their way. I refer to I Am My Body, NOT! as “an existential book presented in a way that a child can comprehend. It is existential because it deals with issues that are basic to life and existence of ALL of humanity. Essentially, I Am My Body, NOT! introduces the reader to the workings of the human body in a modular way, starting with the hands, then arms, proceeding to the feet, legs, and torso, then to the head, then the internals. However, throughout the book, as one “module” is completed, it makes the following summation:

“Although my _____
Helps me
to help my family,
Friends, and others,
It is not my body,
And my body,
is not me.”

This sequence of words plant powerful seeds into the reader’s mind and psyche. Spoken in the first person, and in the affirmative, they connect the reader to the vibration of selflessness: “to help my family, friends, and others”, and discernment: “it is not my body, and my body, is not me.”Within each module are tidbits of thought that build appreciation for the body’s design and how well it works within the environment in which we live, move, and express our beingness. Rev. Michael Beckwith, founder of Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, and ardent supporter of me as I made my own journey to self acceptance and sufficiency, said this about I Am My Body, NOT!:

What Adam Abraham has accomplished in I Am My Body, NOT! is a gift to both parents and children. His profound description of how the body temple provides a home for the inner spirit are languaged to appeal to the Divine Intelligence residing in every child. Parents may trust this spiritually and emotionally mature approach to educating children about their true nature on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels of being.

I lived in the Los Angeles area at the time I wrote and published I Am My Body, NOT! and while transitioning from a life as an itinerant employee dreamer to a self-employed one I always found his message positive, meaningful, and timely. He not only spoke to me from the stage each week, he spoke to me personally, to my situation. I always left an Agape experience feeling better than I felt upon arrival, energetically and attitudinally ready to take on what comes next.

That is the intent behind all of my books and essays; that you, the reader is energetically and attitudinally ready to take on what comes next, because what comes next, is coming.

While actually writing I Am My Body, NOT! I didn’t know what was coming next, or even where the dialogue was going. I refer to it as a dialogue for two reasons. One was that it is not presented in a story form. You don’t have to read it from start to finish. This is why I called it modular. You can read as few as two pages in some cases, and get great value out of the thoughts that sit on the page. The second reason it was a dialogue was because the words came to me in a child’s vibrational “voice.” Essentially, I took dictation as a listener, more so as a writer who had something he wanted to say. So I went along for the ride as the ideas unfolded, just as the reader does today.

When just about everything you could imagine telling a child about how their body works had been covered, the narrator began summarizing:

My body is my friend, and in a way of speaking, my servant. If I take care of it, I will most likely enjoy better health. Without it, I cannot be here. But it is not me.

All of this had been covered earlier. It went further.

My body is designed to carry me through the adventure that we call life on earth. It allows me to learn, and build and live in the earthly environment we call home. Through it I make choices and take actions that have impact and meaning.

All of these statements had been inferred already, so I knew that the end was in sight. The next page was like reaching the top of a ridge, only to welcomed by a grand vista, which made the journey worthwhile.

My body is the instrument by and through which I exist on planet Earth. But it is not me. It is made up of earthly materials. I am not. One day my body will cease to function, thus ending my “stay” on earth, but not my existence, for I am my body, NOT! I am energy, I am Spirit!

This is when it all made sense to me, why the detailed explanations, and the summarizing after each section. What was nice for me is that as the transition process we call “death” was described (without using the actual word), the usual “wince” of fear that typically accompanies the subject was nowhere to be found, which I believe is the way our perception of death should be.

Far different than a book about death, I Am My Body, NOT! is a book about life and how to live it well. It plants positive ideas and energy into minds and hearts of each reader, regardless of their age. And as each resonates with the idea offered, its power is embraced and available to be of service.

Such is the power of pen and paper, and of published books. Such is the responsibility of authors, who should be mindful of what we are exchanging energetically with our readers. Given that most people believe their influence only ends at the length of their nose or arms, there’s often no sense of connectedness to the effects of what the reader reads.

One way or another, each will learn. We have an opportunity each day to become more mindful, more conscious, of our connectedness with everyone and everything, and that everyone and everything is part of who we are. What I’ve learned is that it’s never too early to begin the process; we can never be too young. Children need as much time to live with positive, life affirming thoughts and ideas as humanly possible, because you can rest assured they will be bombarded with negative ones.

When we know this, we will change our world, for our world will be changed… one mind, heart, body, and spirit, at a time.

Re: Adam Abraham/Phaelosopher

More of his archived posts. He looks like a producer/promoter just looking for something that's going to bring in the bux:

Our first Transdermal Magnesium Seminar, held this evening at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts (www.swiha.com) is now history. It was a rousing success. We didn’t break any box office numbers. In fact, only a handful of people came. However, all were interested for various reasons, and all made purchases.

Transdermal Magnesium Therapy Books on Display

Most were professionals who understood the importance of magnesium, and intrigued by the transdermal potential of this liquid form. One lady has been taking medication for heart arrythmia for quite some time. Another described herself as very sensitive to virtually anything that she puts on her skin. She bought a sample bottle of magnesium chloride, and ordered a half-gallon, which will be shipped to her next week.

There was a woman from a country in Africa, who said that the only way that magnesium is administered where she is from is either intravenous or transdermal. Everyone who understood the nutritional effectiveness of supplementation generally agreed that there is only a marginal benefit to taking supplements in tablet form, as the mineral benefit is often lost in the digestive process.

The woman with the arrhythmia wondered how the magnesium might interact with her drug medications. I do not attempt to answer such questions, as I’m in no position to offer advice. I can only offer cautious supposition. However, under the care of someone who wants to see her return to a more natural physiological state, would likewise want her not to be dependent on synthetic meds, and who has formal training in this area, would be able to help her wean herself off the meds as her magnesium supply was brought up to adequate levels.

What constitutes adequate levels of magnesium can differ from one person to the next. One generalization will fit some, but never all people.

We showed a 7 minute video that we produced titled, To Your Great Health, which shows some of the ways that magnesium chloride can be administered, as well as some things to look for, such as possible intense reactions when just starting usage. I also indicated that an intense reaction today does not mean that it will always be that way.

Spraying MgCl under my arms yielded the residual benefit of the virtual elimination of body order. However, acid buildup in my lymph area made my under arm area a “hot zone” when I sprayed magnesium on. I tried to tough it out for a while, but the pain was too hot for me. Since I understood that the magnesium wasn’t hurting me, I did not give up on it. We simply started taking foot baths several times each week, and within a few weeks, I was pleased to discover that the intense pain had mellowed down to a mild sting.

We were prepared with copies of Mark’s book, along with 2 fl. oz. samples of magnesium chloride from Ocean Magnesium Products (www.oceanmagnesium.com). Several of the people that dropped by had already visited their web site.

All in all, everyone found the information and presentation beneficial. We will schedule more. Next week we’re taking a drive up to Sedona, to meet the publisher of Four Corners Magazine (www.fourcornersmagazine.com), who has already agreed to publish Chapter 3 — Dietary Magnesium Deficiencies, in the December/January issue. Hers will be the third magazine, behind Well Being Journal (www.wellbeingjournal.com), which is publishing Chapter 2, “Magnesium and Modern Medicine”, and Namasté Magazine (www.namastepublishing.co.uk), which is publishing information on the endocrine system. These articles are in the current editions of both magazines.

All in all, this was a great event to build from. Time to get started planning the next one.

Snippet of another longer post:

I had a conversation recently with a man who saw a melanoma — which is a serious form of skin cancer — go away in about three days after rubbing a natural solution of ocean-derived magnesium chloride onto it. The spot had been there for a number of years. Needless to say, he was ecstatic.

Since he is in health supplement business, he started carrying the product and telling, and showing others. As of our conversation, at least five other people had experienced the same thing. Skin melanoma’s had disappeared after spraying magnesium chloride onto them, or taking a bath with a small amount of solution poured in. This wasn’t a claim or even a guarantee, but simply a statement of fact.

At a health expo where his company had a booth, one of his signs said that people have experienced relief from a number of ailments, including diabetes, stroke, and others, all of which were (and are) true statements. However, when a representative of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration stopped by his booth and read the sign, he was immediately confronted with, “YOU CAN’T SAY THAT!” and ORDERED to take it down.

Now why is that?

Where is the harm being done, if true information is being communicated about a natural, harmless agent, that actually helps people overcome illness and disease, without prohibitive cost? What is being protected here? It’s certainly not health, or even access to it. What’s being protected is our perception of vulnerability to everything, and our need for a saviour outside of the One within.

We are encouraged to continue believing that we need a pill, which may cause a few harmful side-effects. However, it’ll be okay if a doctor tells us it’s okay. Never mind that the doctor earns his living, supporting his lifestyle, on your willingness to put his opinion and “better judgment” above your own. Laws are being created to hold the drug companies harmless if their products hurt you. Even the doctors are left hanging out to dry in that respect. But a LOT of money is spent to convince you that you need to remain in this mindset.

The system is also set up to support this way of doing things. Insurance companies will pay 10’s and 100’s of thousands of dollars for surgeries, hospital visits, drugs administered at outrageous prices, but not for “alternative” or natural, and often much less expensive, more effective approaches.

I mention the insurance companies because they are doling out the money. However, you doled it out to them. They ask you for your money, promising to take care of you. You give it to them, then when you decide that you want to try an approach that is all-natural, non-invasive, and non-toxic, they say “No, it’s not on our list of ‘approved’ approaches.” This is the system we have created today, but it’s not working so well… for you and me. It works fabulously for drug companies.

Many thousands of people are taking allopathic treatments for chronic diseases; treatments that are further compromising their health, because everyone that they talk to believes in the doctor, or the drug, or is willing to gamble on their ability to resume their life after a radical procedure. Yet, they not only question, but ridicule treatment strategies that don’t require killing the patient in order to kill the “bug.”

I take no offense against allopathic medicine. It provides a valuable and necessary service to all of society, each and every day. However, its reliance on technology, and pharmacology as its toolbox has become dominant, and its declining effectiveness at helping patients return to health is showing. We’re not living longer, we’re “living” longer, with illness and chronic disease. That is a pattern that we can change, when we take matters of health into our own hands, and fill our minds and bodies with that which nourishes, instead of that which discourages.

It’s time to assert and affirm our intention to be healthy, and to live with health, than to fear calamity, illness, and disease. As surely as we live and breathe, what we spend most of our thoughts and energies on, we will create and experience. So let’s focus on health, and embody it.

Re: Adam Abraham/Phaelosopher

Still looking for any credentials:

Today we’re producing a video that shows people replenishing their magnesium levels with magnesium chloride, which is in liquid form. This is a fairly new protocol; a growing number of doctors are only now learning about it, and the public… well, unless it’s about violence, tragedy or some other calamity, we’re generally the last to know.

This is an example of the type of information the public is fed daily, and quickly becomes “experts” on:

In today’s news, the East side and West side serial killers confronted each other in a dramatic shootout. Reports confirm that the West side strangler had started a feud with the East side shooter, contending that the city “wasn’t big enough” for the two of them. They met at 43rd and Broadway with guns blazing. When the smoke cleared, the East side shooter lay dead. Police had cordoned off the area, but in spite of closing in quickly, the West side strangler mysteriously got away. He was last seen near a partially open manhole cover. Witnesses told authorities the strangler was miffed at the West side shooter’s growing notoriety because he was actually the better shooter too.

Film at 11.

No, this hasn’t happened, yet. And I prefer that it doesn’t. But this kind of news story is far more likely to get wide coverage — and turn criminals into “celebrities” — than stories about natural substances the body was designed to use, that actually improves our health status when we put enough of it in.

Magnesium is not the only natural substance that helps us stay healthy, or return to health, but given its profoundly critical importance to the overall proper functioning of our body, it is the most underlooked. So we’re going to do something about that.

Transdermal Magnesium Therapy, by Mark SircusFor one thing, we’ve published Transdermal Magnesium Therapy, written by Mark Sircus, which is now available. The next thing is to let the world know that this is a subject worth its attention that can be of great benefit, and how to go about replenishing the body’s magnesium stores. Third, we’ll point people to places where they can obtain the magnesium chloride so that they can start their own replenishment protocol.

We’re a small publisher at present, mind you, but the consequences of not knowing the information that Mark has put together is severely affecting tens, if not hundreds of millions of people, some of whom are dying each day from the consequences of mineral malnourishment. We have great technology, but technology cannot and does not nourish the body. Magnesium can, and does. It is not a performance enhancer; it is a life enhancer. No drug can truly make that claim.

When I read Mark’s manuscript, I saw how magnesium deficiency has impacted my life from a health perspective. And I saw a preponderence of scientific evidence as to why magnesium deficiency is compromisng the physical well-being of so many others. As Mark introduced the availability of liquid magnesium chloride, and how easy it is to self-administer, it became a no-brainer to me that adopting a routine of replenishment would be extremely helpful to everyone.

The FDA prohibits companies that sell natural supplements or “alternative” products from saying that they “cure” ailments. I actually understand the initial motivation. These injunctions prohibit drug companies from making curative claims for their pharmaceuticals unless they have gone through rigorous (and unbelievably expensive) testing. That makes sense.

But then, these are toxic drugs; most of which are designed to change, obstruct, or in some way, alter the body’s normal and natural function in order to kill off the “bad” stuff in our bodies that are causing our sickness. In that respect, what the FDA does is good. On the other hand, the agency declares that any substance that makes curative claims is a drug, and therefore, under their jurisdiction, including magnesium in its various forms.

Dear FDA,

Please take note that magnesium is not a drug. Magnesium is a nutrient that the body was designed to work with in order to function properly. If any of you don’t believe it, try consciously removing or diminishing your magnesium intake, and see what happens to you.

Actually, that wouldn’t be hard. All one has to do is eat the Standard American Diet of processed and chemically treated food, and you’ll see what I mean. Migranes, inflammation, neurological disorders, coronary heart disease, cancers, diabetes, soreness… the list goes on and on.

While pharmaceutical companies are nobly attempting to create physiology altering drugs and other protocols (radiation, etc.) to treat these conditions, magnesium is a component the body was designed to accept, and there are no substitutes. As such, it is not a drug. It is a mineral-nutrient. It is such such an important mineral-nutrient, that nutritional science terms it a macronutrient.

Sincerely,

Adam…

Okay, I’ know they’re not listening to me, and I’m probably not telling the people at the FDA anything they don’t already know. However, their policies don’t reflect such understanding, and their persistence in attempting to classify mineral nutrients like magnesium under the same umbrella as toxic pharmaceuticals promotes comparisons between the two on the basis of likeness, when in truth, they are not.

You don’t need a Ph.D. to understand that magnesium is not a drug, and no amount of Ph.D.’s is going to make a naturally occurring and necessary nutrient, that is vital to our body’s physiology, into a drug. You can’t say that drugs are naturally occurring and necessary. They are neither. We don’t have to claim it about magnesium, but the statement would nonetheless be true. Even your doctor knows it’s true.

Magnesium definitely, and without question, facilitates life and health by strengthening the body’s ability to function, with new energy, restoring itself to normalcy, and maintaining said normalcy.

Conventional drug therapies that the FDA rightfully oversees, on the other hand, may facilitate continued living. However, they do so by essentially gambling with life, weakening one’s immune system, compromising the body’s natural defenses, killing off certain “offenders”, and maintaining a holy war within the body with the patient as the potential “whipped” survivor. If the patient dies by this route, the doctor with the help of the drugs, are perceived as “valient heroes” that tried to save us. If a patient chooses alternate, natural treatment modalities, eschewing treatments that call for further poisoning, his or her common sense is questioned.

The FDA isn’t helping here. Alternative medicine is looked at with a jaundiced, suspicious eye. The safety, and more importantly, the real effectiveness of the various products is not acknowledged unless its credentials as a drug have been bestowed. That can’t really happen, since minerals are not synthesized chemical cocktails, and not subject to patenting. They are not proprietary: every living organism is comprised of minerals, and needs them in adequate supply and proper balance in order to function properly. Even the people who run the FDA need magnesium.

So we’re going to produce a short video about using one grossly overlooked über mineral. Specifically, we’ll show the various simple ways replenishment methods using magnesium chloride. While it would be easy to say, rub it into the skin — arms, legs, joints — or take a foot bath or regular bath, the message is made clearer when it is visualized. So that’s what we’ll do.

I’ll let you know what we came up with when it’s done.

A tidbit at the beginning here:

One Man’s Journey to Magnesium Awareness Gives Birth to a New Book for Millions

In addition to being a writer, I’m a publisher that currently is in the process of releasing a new book titled, Transdermal Magnesium Therapy, which was written by Mark Sircus, Ac., OMD. Mark is a licensed acupuncturist, and doctor of Oriental Medicine. More importantly, he is a passionate advocate for human health, wellness, as well as awareness on navigating the complicated maze in which we are sometimes thrust due to the politics surrounding health.

Upon reading the manuscript early this year I started to appreciate just how pervasive magnesium is in the maintenance of human health. I also learned some of the many consequences of magnesium deficiency… not only in my own health history, but with what’s happening in lives every day, in America, and around the world.

For instance, here are some statistics on heart disease, from Mama’s Health:

* Every 34 seconds a person in the United States dies from heart disease.
* More than 2,500 Americans die from heart disease each day.
* Every 20 seconds, a person in the United States has a heart attack.
* At least 250,000 people die of heart attacks each year before they reach a hospital.
* Studies show that under-educated people are more likely to suffer heart attacks.
* The countries with the highest death rates from heart disease are the Soviet Union, Romania, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Czechoslovakia. The countries with the lowest are Japan, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Canada.
* Almost 6 million hospitalizations each year (in the United States) are due to cardiovascular disease.
* Since 1900, Cardio Vascular Disease has been the number 1 killer in the United States for every year but 1918.
* Every 33 seconds, a person dies from Cardio Vascular Disease in the United States.
* Men suffer heart attacks about 10 years earlier in life than women do.

As you can see, heart disease is no laughing matter. Millions ($$$) are being raised to understand the causes of, and find ways to prevent heart disease, yet the numbers keep rising. With all the collective attention that has been focused on the disease, precious few preventative measures have emerged. This may be due, in part, to the fact that we’re now so convinced that smoking is a leading cause and accelerator of heart disease, we’ve stopped looking for other possibilities, and have instead gone on a campaign to coerce, cajole, harrass or shame people to stop smoking.

We’ve even gone so far as to declare that second-hand smoke is as ”bad” at causing heart problems, cancer, and lung disease as smoking itself.

Smoking is a far more palatable and sexy ”nemesis” than magnesium deficiency. We’d rather spend time and energy blaming smoking, being irritated by the (perceived) insensitivity of smokers, and the harm that they are causing us, than take actionable steps to get a missing critical nutrient into our own body and see what happens. One approach achieves no change, maintaining the status quo, while the other can achieve changes that are no less than profound.

We’ve grown comfortable being able to judge someone for doing something that’s making themselves, and us sick, when in fact, we are maintaining our own susceptibility to sickness by, either unknowingly or unwittingly, keeping our magnesium stores too low. Yet, it has become what’s “normal” for us, and maintaining familiar ways is deemed far easier than to look at ourselves with the will to change positively. We cling to our option to look condescendingly at someone smoking even while tens of thousands of hearts are still failing; fallen silent in people who have never picked up a cigarette.

A news article in a 2006 issue of British Dental Journal offers more support that smoking isn’t actually required in order to have heart disease:

Tooth loss and heart disease linked, even among non-smokers

There is a strong, progressive association between tooth loss and heart disease according to a report in the latest issue of American Journal of Preventive Medicine. The researchers found that heart disease was present in 4.7% of those without tooth loss, 5.7% of those with one to five missing teeth, 7.5% of those with six to 31 missing teeth, and 8.5% of those with total tooth loss. This finding emerged after adjusting for sex, race and ethnicity, education, marital status, diabetes, smoking status, alcohol consumption, high blood pressure, high blood cholesterol and body mass index. The researchers, based at the Division of Adult and Community Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in America, analysed data from 41,891 respondents aged 40 to 79. The investigators noted that the results of this study are consistent with previous studies that link periodontal disease and tooth loss to an increased risk of atherosclerosis and heart attack. However, they said that other studies had not shown an association between oral conditions and heart disease. Catherine Okoro, the lead investigator, emphasised that the correlation between tooth loss and heart disease held even when smoking status was considered. ‘Smoking has strong relationships to both tooth loss and heart disease. Nonetheless, when we stratified by age group and smoking status, a significant association remained between tooth loss and heart disease among respondents aged 40 to 59 years who had never smoked.’ Okoro said the relationship between tooth loss and heart disease is of considerable public health interest because of the prevalence of both conditions in the general population. ‘These results highlight the importance of health promotion counselling that includes the promotion of heart-healthy behaviours, the prevention and control of cardiovascular disease risk factors and the maintenance of good oral health,’ she said.

I’ve limited this examination to heart disease, just one of the scourges that plagues the health of millions, and millions more who love, depend on, work and play with, or otherwise care about them. But here’s a bulletin: all of the conditions noted here that people are so convinced are due to smoking, are also signs and consequences of magnesium deficiency.

In fact, if a heart attack victim survives long enough to get to the hospital, the treatment that offers patients the best chances of recovery, is an injection of magnesium into the heart. Since magnesium is a mineral, and not a drug, it means that the patient was experiencing a severe case of magnesium deficiency.

Calcification, osteoporosis, plaque build-up, irregular heartbeat, tremors and ticks, are all natural consequences of magnesium deficiency. All of these conditions will tend to go naturally away when magnesiums stores are replenished. It’s not a matter of being healed; more so of simply returning to normal. Our current obsession with prescription drugs involves efforts to find a pharmaceutical that can “heal” (so a market can be cornered on it), when the real deal, which is abundant, inexpensive, available, and compatible with cell physiology, and has no downside effects, goes unheralded.

Now, take what I’ve said about heart disease and look around. See the legions of people who are trying their best to “manage” living with diabetes, stroke, hypertension, many varieties of cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, autism, and others.

Dr. Sircus made it clear, supported with numerous citations, that if we look deeply enough, we’ll find magnesium — more so, deficient stores — as a contributory, if not causal factor. Yet, while today’s traditional “medicine men” in the white smocks will screen for patient’s magnesium level, there are presently no protocols in place to bring deficient levels up to normal, eliminating a magnesium deficiency contribution. The condition is simply reported, and the patient’s symptoms “treated” with drugs. No cure is possible when steps are not taken to have the patient “refill” the body’s stores of this vital element.

This is what I’ve been learning for the past 10 months or so. The importance of magnesium content to human physiology. Our profoundly deficient magnesium status and the consequences thereof, and the fact that standard medical practices are not proactive upon this diagnosis. But then, I understand. They are not proactive about diagnosing that magnesium levels are down, with its long list of potential consequences, because the drugs they would normally prescribe, would not be needed.

That was my assessment of what I read. Mark and his research assistant, Claudia French, who is an R.N., were careful to provide numerous footnote references, so that the reader could go deeper, and not have to take their words. Test after test, study after study, medical trial after medical trial, all led the reader to the same conclusion: magnesium is critical to the maintenance, restoration, or sustainability of human health, and we’re likely deficient in it. And if we are, we’d better do something about it on our own.

Fortunately, a growing number of people have been raising magnesium up on the radar screen of human health. One was Mildred Seelig, MD, FACN (1920-2005), executive director of the American College of Nutrition, became the prime mover in the magnesium field when she published the now classic paper on “the requirement of magnesium by the normal adult” in 1964 (Am J Clin Nutr 14:342-390). For more than four decades she was involved in studying, advancing, and teaching about magnesium all over the world. At the time of her passing, she was Adjunct Professor of Nutrition at the University of North Carolina at Chappel Hill. Dr. Seelig, along with many other doctors and researchers are cited.

The thrust of Transdermal Magnesium Therapy is the recent availability of magnesium chloride. When sodium binds with chloride to form salt (NaCl), it takes a crystalline form. Magnesium binds with chloride during the evaporation of sea water to produce salt. However, as the water (hydrogen and oxygen) are being removed, magnesium chloride is a liquid byproduct. This all-natural process creates a liquid solution that can allow the magnesium to enter the body through the skin either by rubbing or spraying it topically, directly on the skin, pouring an amount in a bath and hopping in, or pouring some in a footbath and sticking the feet in. Magnesium ions release from the chloride and enter the body through the skin, where they are directed to all parts as needed.

Magnesium chloride is available in several forms from available from a number of sources, including a Ocean Magnesium Products. There is far more to say on the subject, which Mark does an admirable job at. He was not the first person to turn this subject into a passion; interest in the subject is growing each day, as more people understand the many ways it is integral to body and cell physiology; which makes the lethargy of our current health care system all the more perplexing, if not downright troubling.

If you want to learn more, I invite you to listen to an interview I conducted with Mark a short while ago by clicking here. The run time is 1 hour 3 minutes. You’ll get a greater feel for the enormity and importance of this subject.

‘Nuf said… for now.

I've been clicking back and back and this seems to be the first blog post:

It’s Like Pulling a Rabbit Out of Your Hat

Yeah, that’s right. In my dreams.

I’ve been wading through blogs, slogs, and clogs (in my brain), looking for, and finding a place to present myself; my ideas.

My head is aching.

I must be pretty damn full of myself to think anyone gives a crap for what I may have to say.

Guilty.

I may indeed be full of myself, but getting to this place, and typing these words, didn’t feel like magic. More like I was wearing a lead sombrero.

But enough of that. I’m glad I’m here, really.

So the question is, why am I here? What do I have to say that hasn’t been said before? (I’m not sure that the second one is the question, but I was on a role.)

Everyone has an opinion about how messed up things are, and where we’re going in a handbasket. Much of it we’ve heard before. You’ve got to be a member of the “right” group, else there’ll be hell to pay.

Well you can relax about one thing; whatever “group” you’re in is okay by me. I can’t change you, and don’t want to. If you think our “time is running out” and the world is gonna end; okay.

If you believe that life sucks, I won’t argue with you (although I don’t agree with you). If you think that people won’t change, can’t be trusted, or that we are mere pawns in a bigger game in a world controlled by a select few, I’ll disagree with you there too.

I believe we’re creators of our life experiences and the dramas and relationships we play out each day. We’re choosers of our personal destinies.

I could be wrong, but I also believe that the belief stated previously is not apparent to most people, so it would not be unusual if some people disagreed with me. But if you’re willing to dialogue instead of argue, perhaps we can have some interesting exchanges.

I’m not the religious type… not that I don’t believe in religion, just don’t need to believe in one in order to feel connected to, and one with The Source. There are great lessons that can be learned within a religious community; as well as great manipulation. The lessons, however, can be learned whether one is withing a religious fold, or outside of one.

From first breath to last, we are human beings. That qualifies us for all the spiritual perks that many would have you go to hell for if you didn’t agree with their particular religious way.

We tend not to question, or think about who and what we are; what it means to be human, and how does that play into the world of spirituality and belief. I think about such things, and in so doing, I have received some pretty wonderful insights, although some may consider them scarry. But that’s all right too.

I’m a blogger now; and all is right with the world.

The ache that weigned on my head when I started this post, just went away.

Thought for Food Internet Radio Show On the Horizon

Tomorrow evening I’ll be doing a test broadcast for my own radio program, which I intend to call… (guess what?) Thought for Food. I don’t know if I’ll be on the air tonight, but I will be learning the equipment and protocols that I’ll have to follow.

I knew this was coming, but wasn’t sure when. If all goes well, the show will be on the Open Mind Entertainment Network at the beginning of February.

In addition to sharing and discussing my own “phaelosophic” point of view with call-in listeners, I intend to have guests, and even music on the show.

Here’s my opening announcement (just wrote it):

Welcome to Thought for Food, your weekly dose of information and inspiration that nourishes your body, mind, and spirit. I’m your host, Adam Abraham, phaelosopher and founder of Phaelos Books, author of I Am My Body, NOT!, and publisher of a new book titled, Transdermal Magnesium Therapy, written by Mark Sircus. For this next hour, and in future shows, we’re going to help each other get on better terms, with our self.

We’ll do that by taking a loving, unblinking look at life, and in the process, maybe we’ll see the wonder that it is, and that we really are.

I like that.

I’ll have more to share when some of the details are filled in. Also, if you have a product or service that could benefit a worldwide audience, contact me directly for sponsorship opportunities. Let’s be the change we want to see in the world.

Here's a snippet that suggests he has backers when he does stuff:

Later in the evening I went to a BMX Racing Park a few miles from my house. My plan was to get some footage of bicyclists as they “catch air” for the second round of a video competition sponsored by Panasonic called, “Share The Air!” It calls for producing an action sport video that is 24-seconds in length. With the submission deadline not too far off, there’s time to make an entry, so I went out in search of images, which I found, although they were not what I expected. I also found unexpected but much appreciated insights into this thing called life.

This is too long to reproduce, but deserves a scan. Geeze, this guy really is taken by his own thinking!

Marie Litster hails from the West Coast of Canada, residing in the beautiful seaside community of Sooke, BC on Vancouver Island. But she's no stranger to big city life, having spent 25 years in Vancouver, or to the issues that face culturally diverse communities each day.

So when she and Phaelos, Inc. founder Adam Abraham met over the Internet one day in August, 1999, she understood the intrinsic value in his at times unorthodox viewpoints.

She eventually applied her artistic talents to bring life to one of the "cute" poetic stories that he sent to her one day via email. That story came to be known as, I Am My Body, NOT!

Marie divides her time between her home in Sooke, and Los Angeles.

I traveled to Sedona to visit the Raw Spirit Festival. This is the third annual running of this event. Whether you are into raw foods or not, it is an experience worth having. I will say that, if you are not into raw foods, you will likely give it serious consideration. If you are dealing with chronic, acute, and catastrophic diseases, you should seriously examine some of the physiological adjustments that are possible simply through a diet change.

With the exception of Liz Story, whose music I enjoyed 20 years ago, I knew virtually none of the headliners here… just a collection of people with good things to say, coming from their perspective. But then, that’s all anyone does, is come from his or her perspective. However, it’s a perspective that warrants consideration. This was a last minute thing for me. I wasn’t going until a friend connected me to a woman who represents Wilderness Family Naturals (_www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com), a purveyor of fine coconut oil-based products, who would be exhibiting at this event. Since she was making a 1,400 mile trip and it was only 100 for me, it made sense to go. She has arranged for me to interview the Bruce Horowitz, the Festival Chef, later today. Here are his sites:...

It was a total surprise and pleasure that I sat in on The Prana Program, a presentation given by Jasmuheen, an Australian woman, author of over 20 books, who has lived on prana, universal life force energy, for the past 14 years, making it complete a year ago, when she released her dependency on water. ...

Jasmuheen’s talk was something everyone should hear. And she has agreed to grant me an interview for my radio show, Talk for Food this afternoon. (BTW… I have begun developing my own Talk For Food site _www.talkforfood.com. Only a shell now, but building.)

No Miracle, Just Wonderful Chemistry
MMS De-Mystified

del.icio.us tags: alternative health, chlorine dioxide, detox, chelation, healing, heavy metals

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been learning about, and experiencing something wonderful; that has implications for every one of us. It is a procedure that involves precipitating a chemical solvent, chlorine dioxide, in quantities small enough to be safely ingested, and large enough to kill pathogens that are presently living in our body, robbing it of energy, and poisoning it with waste material, and making it more vulnerable to disease. If this is not your situation, it is certainly the situation of someone you know and love.

The product is called, “MMS,” which stands for miracle mineral supplement. Caution flags rise immediately when the term “miracle” is used to describe anything that amazes us, or when we don’t understand how it does what it does. In this case, it is indeed amazing. However, an explanation of why MMS is so effective as a pathogen destroyer is possible. It’s not the MMS that destroys pathogens; the chlorine dioxide does that. But when you understand the chemistry, you’ll see that it’s not a miracle… it just seems like one.
Humble Origins“MMS” Bottle

The MMS protocol was developed by Jim Humble, a gold miner and metallurgist, on an expedition into the jungles of Central America, looking for gold. It was a response to a need to help a member of his expedition who came down with malaria, more than two days away, through heavy jungle, from the next mine. After many years of experience, Humble always carried stabilized oxygen with him on such expeditions, to make local water potable. Facing the possibility of a quick loss of life, he gave it to the stricken man. To everyone’s amazement, he was well within a few hours. That sure seemed like a miracle, but Humble wanted to better understand what had just happened.

Over the course of several years, Jim Humble figured out that what made stabilized oxygen so effective in some malaria cases, was not the oxygen at all, but the trace amounts of chlorine dioxide. Further research led him to come up with a way to produce hundreds, if not thousands more units of chlorine dioxide than what is found in stabilized oxygen. This is through using a higher concentrate of sodium chlorite (28% vs. 3% for stabilized oxygen), in conjunction with the activator. The proof of the efficacy of this simple protocol was in successfully helping over 75,000 people in several African nations – including Uganda and Malawi – rid themselves, primarily of malaria, but also hepatitis, cancer, and AIDS.

Jim Humble chronicled his experiences in two downloadable ebooks that are available at his web site: _www.miraclemineral.org. The book is titled, Breakthrough: The Miracle Mineral Supplement of the 21st Century. Part one, which is a free download, tells how it began. Part two, which costs $9.95, continues the story, discusses the chemistry involved, and gives clear instructions on how to prepare MMS yourself. (A hard copy edition is also available.) This is important, because once you understand the chemistry, and the absolute absence of downside effects, outside of feeling nauseous and “expelling” when toxins and pathogens are dislodged, it becomes an option that anyone who may be on toxin overload must try out for one’s self.

Anyone can be on toxin overload. Some are but won’t admit it. Others would prefer to think they’re not. If your health is not perfect… you’re habitually low on energy, have trouble keeping your weight down, or blood pressure in the normal range, or constantly dealing with inflammation or pain, then there’s likely a toxin, heavy metal, virus, bacteria, or parasite issue in play. Traditional medicine will typically respond by loading you up with additional pollutants, many of which indiscriminately kill healthy tissue while going after “the bad guys.” Not so with chlorine dioxide. It only acts on harmful presences. Miracle or not, the effects are wonderful. I’d vote for Wonderful Mineral Supplement in a heartbeat!

Over the next few pages, I’m going to describe the MMS protocol. When followed, it will produce and distribute chlorine dioxide to your red blood cells, which is the most effective and intelligent pathogen killer known to Nature.

But first, a little background on the chemistry.

Chlorine dioxide and chlorine are not the same. Chlorine is a chemical element. In ion form, chlorine is part of common salt and other compounds, and necessary to most forms of life, including human. A powerful oxidizing agent, it is the most abundant dissolved ion in ocean water, and readily combines with nearly every other element, including sodium to form salt crystals, and magnesium, as magnesium chloride.

Chlorine dioxide is a chemical compound that consists of one chlorine ion bound to two ions of oxygen.

Oxidizing agents are chemical compounds that readily accept electrons from “electron donors.” They gain electrons via chemical reaction. This is important because relative to chlorine dioxide, all pathogens are electron donors.

Chlorine dioxide is extremely volatile. You might call it “hot tempered,” but in a very beneficial way. This volatility is a key factor in chlorine dioxide’s effectiveness as a pathogen destroyer.

The compound is literally explosive; so explosive, it’s not safe to transport in any quantity. Therefore, it is common practice to generate chlorine dioxide “on site” at the point of use. Most chlorine dioxide production is done on a scale that would prove deadly for individuals, for example, in municipal water treatment systems, where it is beginning to replace chlorine because it produces no carcinogenic byproducts. Chlorine dioxide is approved by the Environmental Protection Agency in safely removing pathogens and contaminates like anthrax. So you know it must be effective. However, the concentrations used in such applications can vary from 500 to over 6,000 parts per million (ppm), which would clearly be deadly to an individual. Using the MMS protocol you will produce chlorine dioxide in the range of 1 ppm.

You will use the MMS solution, which is safe to transport, to make nature’s harmless pathogen remover.

The MMS solution is 28% sodium chlorite in distilled water. You can produce chlorine dioxide with a single drop, when an “activator” of vinegar, lemon juice, or a 10% solution of citric acid is added. The latter two activators are recommended for people with Lyme disease.

“Applications” of chlorine dioxide range from 1 drop to a maximum of 15, except in life critical situations, where the maximum may be doubled. A “maintenance application” is six drops, with ¼ teaspoon of activator added. After adding the activator, the chemical reaction that turns sodium chlorite into chlorine dioxide takes only about three minutes.

The activating ingredient in vinegar that makes the change possible is acetic acid. It also sets the stage for what happens when the chlorine dioxide ions enter the bloodstream. This weak acid acts like a blasting cap by lowering the pH of the chlorine dioxide, without setting it off.

The natural pH of sodium chlorite is 13. Adding vinegar, lemon juice, or citric acid) creates about 3 mg of unstable but still harmless chlorine dioxide.
The Process

Let’s talk a bit more about how and why chlorine dioxide works for giving the immune system a new lease on life.

Volatility is what makes chlorine dioxide so effective when it contacts pathogens. As we’ve mentioned, chlorine dioxide is a safe and effective disinfectant in many municipal water delivery systems, hospitals, and even in bioterrorism response. It stands to reason that chlorine dioxide would be just as effective working in the waters of the human body.

Chlorine dioxide’s extreme volatility prevents pathogens from developing a resistance. Mainly because when they “clash,” the pathogens no longer exist. Yet, healthy cells and beneficial bacteria are unaffected.

While normal levels of oxygen in the blood cannot destroy all of the pathogens present under disease conditions, delivery of chlorine dioxide changes everything.
“Halt! Surrender Your Electrons, Now!”

When a chlorine dioxide ion contacts a harmful pathogen, it instantly rips up to five electrons from the pathogen, in what can be likened to a microscopic explosion… harmless to us, but terminal for pathogens.

The pathogen – an electron donor – is rendered harmless due to the involuntary surrendering of its electrons to the chlorine dioxide – an electron acceptor – and the resulting release of energy. Oxidized by the chlorine ion, the former pathogen becomes a harmless salt.

This process benefits a body that has become toxic.

Throughout the body, anywhere chlorine dioxide ions – transported via red blood cells – come in contact with pathogens, the pathogens give up their electrons and cease to exist. The chlorine dioxide armed cells only “detonate” on contact with pathogens, which include harmful bacteria, viruses, toxins, heavy metals, and parasites. All of these will have pH values that are out of the body’s range of good health. They will also have a positive ionic charge. The chlorine dioxide equipped cells do not oxidize beneficial bacteria, or healthy cells, as their pH levels are 7 or above, and hold a negative ion charge.

Chlorine dioxide ions will oxidize – meaning vaporize – diseased cells… anything that is acidic, with a positive ion charge.

If the chlorine dioxide ions encounter no pathogens or other poisons, it deteriorates into table salt and in some instances, hypochlorous acid, which the body can also use.
A Pathogen Terminator

Research has proven chlorine dioxide to be much safer than chlorine, as it is selective for pathogens when used in water. Furthermore, it does not create harmful compounds from other constituents in the water as chlorine does.

Numerous scientific studies have demonstrated that chlorine – part of the halogen family of elements – creates as least three carcinogenic compounds when it enters the body, principally trihalomethanes (THMs). There has been no such evidence of harmful compounds being produced from chlorine dioxide.

This is why, in 1999, the American Society of Analytical Chemists proclaimed chlorine dioxide to be the most powerful pathogen killer known to man. It has even been used to clean up after anthrax attacks.
A Journey into Chemical Alchemy

Once it is introduced into the bloodstream, chlorine dioxide performs a highly energetic acceptance of four electrons when it comes across any cell that is below a pH value of 7. This means that diseased cells are essentially vaporized (i.e., “oxidized”) while healthy cells are unaffected.

Here is how it happens.

Red blood cells that are normal carriers of oxygen throughout the body do not differentiate between chlorine dioxide and oxygen. Therefore, after ingesting the MMS/chlorine dioxide-rich solution, red blood cells pick up chlorine dioxide ions that are deposited on the stomach wall where it normally gathers nutrients of various kinds before journeying through the body.

Then, when the red blood cells armed with chlorine dioxide encounter parasites, fungi, or diseased cells that all have low pH and a positive ionic charge, the “aliens” are destroyed along with the chlorine dioxide ion. If no such encounters occur, the chlorine dioxide will be carried to a point in the body where oxygen normally oxidizes poisons and other harmful agents.

If the chlorine dioxide doesn’t hit anything that can set it off, it will deteriorate, and thus lose an electron or two. This may allow it to combine with a very important substance that the immune system uses to make hypochlorous acid. This compound kills pathogens, killer cells, and even cancerous cells. Hypochlorous acid is so important, its diminished presence in the body is described medically by the term myeloperoxidase deficiency.

Many people are afflicted by this condition. The immune system needs a great deal more hypochlorous acid when disease is present. Facilitated by the MMS solution, chlorine dioxide delivers it in spades, as does magnesium chloride, but that’s another part of the health discussion.

The most salient point to know, is that chlorine dioxide has 100 times more energy to do what oxygen normally does, and yet, will not harm healthy cells.

By the way, if you are totally healthy, and have nothing in your body that is at an acidic level below 7, there are no ill-effects from taking chlorine dioxide. However, your stores of hypochlorous acid will be increased.

MMS works best to destroy pathogens that may be present in the body, when 2 or 3 mg of free chlorine dioxide are in the solution at the time it is swallowed. However, the body is supplied with chlorine dioxide in a “timed release” manner lasting about 12 hours. Be aware, that before you feel better, it is likely you will feel ill.
“Why Must I Feel Sick?”

The nauseating feeling that you may experience would be the result of chlorine dioxide encountering, dislodging – hence the “sick” feeling – and then destroying pathogens encountered.

We are generally oblivious of the pathogens that are introduced to our body, especially after they have been stored in the tissue of various organs. Since they build up over time, they generally affect our health slowly, and cumulatively.

However, chlorine dioxide takes them out suddenly, which may result in a dramatic reaction. However, it passes in much less time than it took for the toxins and pathogens to accumulate.

When the chlorine dioxide “goes off,” the electron stripped pathogens cease to exist.

As an example, one will almost always feel ill in hepatitis cases because the liver is induced to expel stored poisons, which are then destroyed by an army of red blood cells containing chlorine dioxide. It’s really no contest. But it doesn’t have to be something as acute as hepatitis.

Years of “leeching” of from dental amalgams can “innocently” deposit enough mercury to one’s system to steal innocence, rob vitality, and erase precious memories. Dislodging and vaporizing it will feel uncomfortable for a very short time compared to the time it took to accumulate.

If you feel sick when you take this protocol, know that your health and vitality awaits to rejoin you on “the other side” of the ill feeling.

If it has no “close encounters” with pathogens, chlorine dioxide deteriorates into constituents that are totally non-toxic. Nothing poisonous is left behind to build up, as is the case with many medical protocols. Medical treatments currently provide you NO way of removing the poisons when said poisons don’t work. You are left on your own in a strange land and diseased state, without a roadmap back to health.

Nature’s chlorine dioxide, on the other hand, lasts long enough to do its job, then that which does not furnish the immune system with needed ions becomes nothing more than micro amounts of salt and water.

The chlorine dioxide has just a few minutes to do its thing, and then it no longer exists, leaving nothing behind that can build up, or do additional harm.
The Procedure

So the procedure is simple. All you need is your bottle of MMS, a clean, empty, dry glass, an eyedropper, and the activator (vinegar, lemon juice, or citric acid). The following procedure is taken directly from Jim Humble’s site (_www.mineralmineral.org).

What is the Normal MMS Protocol

Note: When following the instructions below, keep this paragraph in mind. Always activate the MMS drops with one of the food acids, either lemon juice drops, or lime juice drops, or citric acid solution drops (to make citric acid solution add 1 level tablespoon of citric acid and 9 tablespoons of water. Store it in a bottle with a lid.) Always use 5 drops of one of these food acids to each one drop of MMS, mix in a empty dry glass and wait at least 3 minutes, then add 1/3 to 2/3 glass of water or juice and drink. (You can expand the 3 minutes out to 10 minutes, and after adding the juice or water you can wait up to an hour before drinking.)

1. All protocol for taking MMS in the Americas starts with one or two drops. Never start with more than one or two drops. People who are very sick and/or sensitive should start with ½ drop. Activate the drops as given above.
2. If you do OK and do not notice nausea on the first dose, increase by one drop for the second dose. If you notice nausea reduce the amount of MMS for the next dose. Do two doses a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. Continue to increase by one drop each time you take a new dose. When you notice nausea, reduce the dose by one drop, or bad diarrhea reduce by 2 or 3 drops. Usually reduce for one or two times before going back the amount that it took to make you nauseous.

Note: If you notice diarrhea, or even vomiting that is not a bad sign. The body is simply throwing off poisons and cleaning itself out. Everyone says that they feel much better after the diarrhea. You do not have to take any medicine for the diarrhea. It will go away as fast as it came. It will not last. It is not real diarrhea as the body is just cleaning out, and it is not caused by bacteria or virus. When the poison is gone, the diarrhea is gone.
3. Continue to follow the procedure given in 2 above. Until you reach 15 drops twice a day without nausea. At that point increase to 3 times a day. Stay at 3 times a day for at least one week and then reduce the drops to 4 to 6 drops a day for older people and 4 to 6 drops twice a week for younger people.

Note: Once you have completed step 3 above most of the viral, bacteria, mold, and yeast load will be gone from your body. Your body will be clean. You no longer have to worry about feeding the microorganism load. You can base you diet on nutrition, rather than not feeding the load. The diabetes will be gone, thus you no longer need to worry about sugar. You won’t have to worry about the pancreas over reacting thus giving you a shock of insulin. Instead it will give you just enough insulin to knock the blood sugar lever to the right level (You won’t feel sleepy after eating a candy bar). Your body will then be able to easily adsorb vitamins and minerals and many other nutrients it might have been missing up to this time. You should feel better as time goes by. Do not quit taking the MMS.
The ‘Healtholution’ Will Not Be Televised!

Start modestly with as little as 1 drop of MMS on your first day, and then increase the number on each following day, up to the maximum of 15. ONLY THE MOST ACUTE TOXIC OVERLOAD SITUATIONS WILL WARRANT THIS AMOUNT OF APPLICATION. Your body WILL tell you when you’ve reached the optimum dosage for you.

Clearing will not be comfortable, but it need not be intolerable. You may feel like you’ve been through a battle, and in a sense, you have. It’s a battle for domain over your health, and hence, your life. Before you can be healthy again, you need to destroy toxins, pathogens, and parasites. In order to do so, they have to be uprooted and released from their “strongholds” in your body tissue. You will feel the effects, but is a good thing. You will also feel health, again.

The sick feeling will be TEMPORARY, a small price to pay for the longer term possibility of lasting restored health, no matter what stage of life you happen to be currently experiencing.

When the clearing is done, you won’t need to take the maximum dosages. You can go on a maintenance application (six (6) drops of MMS) to keep your insides pathogen free and immune system strong.

A few more words about fruit juices. They can be substituted for water as long as they are freshly made. Do not buy them off the shelf and use them, and DO NOT use orange juice. Orange juice prevents the production of chlorine dioxide, as well as anything that has vitamin C added as a preservative.

I hope you have found this information helpful. The product known as MMS is not really chlorine dioxide, it’s not even a miracle. However, it is a safe and effective way to create one, by introducing a sure fire way to bolster the immune system and eliminate a full range of harmful pathogens, by delivering Nature’s pathogen destroyer, chlorine dioxide, into your body.

When combined with the rapid toxin removal power of chlorine dioxide, mineral replenishment with magnesium chloride and detoxified iodine for the thyroid, can point those with even the most acute conditions in the direction of some seriously wonderful well being.
Hear It

Jim Humble, developer of the MMS protocol, is my guest on Talk for Food. You can listen to the podcast by following this link.

There is now a second Jim Humble interview, a portion of which you can listen to here, or emailing me here.

On Oct 7, 2007 he writes:

MMS and Clay as Natural Detoxifiers Discussed on Talk for Food

The MMS phenomenon is gathering steam, and I am pleased to play a role in this unfolding. It’s not so much the MMS, which stands for Miracle Mineral Supplement, which itself refers to a protocol for safely delivering chlorine dioxide into the human body to “disinfect” it of harmful bacteria, viruses, parasitic microorganisms, heavy metals, and any other pathogen. My interest is in health, or body and mind, in full alignment with one’s spirit. As we are healthy in body, we place ourselves in a far greater position to receive and handle the higher voltage energies of our heart and soul. In my view, that’s an experience worth having, and certainly worth striving for.

Last week I had another conversation with Jim Humble, the developer of the MMS protocol (see my original post “No Miracle, Just Wonderful Chemistry“). We talked about getting started, about nausea, some of the extreme disease situations he has observed, cancer in particular, as well as an informative comparison between other cleansing modalities, such as chelation, as well as other oxidation methods, such as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, hydrogen peroxide, and others. Finally, Jim described how chlorine dioxide can be used for oral hygiene; which will make you have second thoughts about ever using toothpaste and Listerine again.

About half of this conversation became part of my Talk for Food show on Natural Detox Modalities. I am building a home for the full podcast. If you’re interested in receiving it (the run time is approximately 50 minutes), simply send an email request to adam(at)talkforfood.com. My second guest on the show is Perry A~, author of Living Clay.

Then, on Oct 12, 2007:

On Being Fine Examples and Knowing Your Self

The story of the “miracle mineral supplement,” is yet in its infancy. Is it the “magic bullet” to ending our disease conundrum? I don’t think so, but it is an important component. Over 75,000 people were cured of malaria in the African countries of Uganda and Malawi, as Jim Humble persevered in isolating the actual agent of change that killed the malaria parasites, and then developed a protocol for safely administering it. Thousands more are now embarking on their own personal journey to determine in what way this simple protocol can help them do what western diets and medicine have not — i.e., help them sustain, or restore their health.

Jim Humble’s desire to find a workable solution to one of humankind’s greatest challenges – which led to the development of the protocol — is a fine example of what each of us should strive for within our own life. In essence, thinking about the well being of the whole, we should be willing to discover our own highest capabilities, and do what we can to give them life, from wherever we may happen to be.

That means, if we’re presently “down in the dumps,” then that place will mark our journey’s starting point. If we’re racked with disease, then it will simply be a marker on the road to health and well-being. While wealth may not be what curls your toes, knowing you have the power to create and experience it can do wonders for the psyche, for it will not happen until you see it possible for you. If you are “fighting” an illness, knowing that you have the innate power to heal is actually more than half the battle. In fact, it’s most of it.

Much of the suffering we do as human beings occurs while we’re in the belief that we’re limited, or can’t do anything to mitigate “the problem” we’re in. We don’t think of the problem as our creation. We generally think of them as caused by someone or something else. It doesn’t matter who, or it is, or even if it makes sense. Injustices certainly weren’t done with our permission, we will assert. But that’s a sign we don’t yet know who we are. Otherwise how could we possibly continue to justify our resentment and rage? How could we permit ourselves to do harm to a kindred?

I’m not pointing fingers or assigning blame. This is about accepting responsibility for our experience in totality, “the good” and “the bad,” irrespective of what it is. It’s also about realizing where positive, mindful, heartfelt change begins… mine begins with me. Yours begins with you. The power that we choose is one in the same; Love in the form of forgiveness, and then love in the form of acceptance.

Love is the antidote for the true toxic catalyst of death; fear. Fear is not bad. It simply renders a consciousness – the perception sensing unit of our beingness — blind, and dim, in a mire that we are empowered to transform. The only difference being that while we are in fear, we can neither know, nor embrace, our power. We see ourselves as little, powerless, and alone. We see our kindred as enemies that want to “get” us. It doesn’t have to make sense if it is what everyone who matters to us, has told us.

This scenario applies to every aspect of life. It’s why we go to war to fight to maintain policies that limit our own freedom. It’s why we believe the people we’re fighting others for will “take care” of us if we show them our loyalty, not knowing that the only oath that returns dividends worth cashing in, is when we vow to love. Love of humanity trumps love of country. However, if we love humanity, the country will prosper. When we begin loving self, the power to love humanity and country, is “turned on” within us, as is the power to heal and be “well.”

Vibrationally, the term “wealth” is far more about being well, than it is about having money. It is far more important to be well than it is to have money.

In spite of our transformational power, many people, even those with great wealth, but who are not “well,” still consent to toxic medical treatment strategies with very little understanding of their body’s ability to heal.

Most often, they show confidence in their doctor (as the commercials tell them to), who is only relying on the confidence (and sometimes arrogance) of his or her teachers. If the doctor’s world view doesn’t allow or recognize natural (meaning non-pharmaceutical) methods of healing from a diseased condition, and the patient doesn’t have a sensible of his own, then the doctor’s view becomes “law,” but only by way of the vacuum in the patient’s understanding of, and belief in self.

It is most important to know one’s self. It’s a lifelong process. You’ll never know it all, but you can know more than you do now. (As can I.)

We should understand human physiology (the body), as well as the human psyche (the mind). Finally, we should understand the human spirit. We should understand the wages of fear, as well as the gift of love.

Unfortunately, for all that we are taught in school, it appears that very little in the way of understanding of these very common aspects of life is being communicated. This is not a condemnation of formal education; it’s a realization that we may have to search and discover what’s really going on in places other than school and church.

In the case of MMS — or the solution of sodium chlorite which, when a mild acid activator is used, becomes chlorine dioxide, a highly effective and intelligent oxidizer — a fundamental understanding of chemistry was needed, which can indeed be learned in high school and college. However, the consideration of body chemistry in general, and the critical importance of pH balance in particular, does not appear to have been made in the prestigious research laboratories in the world.

Otherwise, how can we account for the billions of dollars that have been raised to find cures for a myriad of diseases, when in fact, a common element to them all — including cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and AIDS — is an imbalanced, mineral deficient, acidic (anaerobic) body chemistry, that responds favorably when returned to an alkaline state?

Why is there so little consideration given in modern medicine, to treatment strategies that either (1) don’t require adding to the body’s already toxic load, or (2) remove the medical toxins that have been added when it is quite evident that the treatment isn’t working, and health is not on its return?

If modern medicine doesn’t see the need to offer these options to its patients, my question is why don’t we? Are we so afraid of challenging medical orthodoxy? Or do we simply think that if they don’t acknowledge that a better way may exist, that there must not be one?

It’s also apparent that we don’t understand how all is interconnected. Take for example, the connection between our ways of thinking, and body chemistry. What we think and say will effectively shift our body chemistry toward alkalinity or acidity. Where we spend our time in thought… takes our body’s health there. Fear causes pH to sink, love makes it rise.

We tend to think that these things just happen on their own, but no. They happen as a function and condition of our choices and habits.

If you think you are lacking something – doesn’t matter what it is – and are angry or resentful about it, then your body chemistry will become progressively acidic which, over time, will make you prone to disease. It’ll affect the choices that you make, the foods you eat, and the value you get (or don’t get) from them. It’ll impact genetic markers in your DNA, which get flipped on, or flipped off.

Fortunately, if you choose to feel differently, you can see differently, including the blessing in the experiences that you have chosen, or the “curse.” If you can find the capacity within you to forgive yourself and those with whom you have taken your journey who “did you wrong,” your body chemistry will shift toward alkalinity, thus raising your capacity to fend off disease. This choice will impact other choices, as well as the potential benefit you gain from them.

Many of our “brightest minds” believe that life happens to us. But evidence is unfolding that suggests that we happen to life instead. In other words, life moves and flows according to our perception of it, and as we change our perception, then life will change to reflect our new “inner” viewpoint. Are we that powerful? Yes. Can there be a possible connection between perceptual shifts and healing? You bet! But you will never know for yourself, until you choose to know for yourself.

MMS Video: Post-Production Finals Week

This is Finals Week, for post-production of Understanding MMS: Conversations with Jim Humble. Today we should complete the Spanish translation for the alternate audio track. Frances and Dimitri transcribed the entire soundtrack to facilitate their researched for proper terminology and word usage.

I have come up with the final front cover design. It brings Jim Humble from myth, to reality, promising to help you get your own feel for the man as well as the chemistry.

Wrap_SingleDVDAmaray

Marion Meadows has made a marvelous “bed” of music to caress and support the voice soundtrack, some of which you’ll be able to see and listen to later this week when I upload some new preview clips. He used Saggio’s music, some music from his own library, and various other musical effects, but did not “showcase” himself. I would have been fine with that, but I can only describe what he did as masterful. Better still, he wants to get together with Saggio and make some music, and I’ll schedule it on a future edition of Talk For Food!

He finished it at 3 am last Friday morning before heading off later that day for a two night performance at Arturo Sandoval’s club in Miami.

marion_producing

A few of the passages that he created brought tears to my eyes. The opening is haunting and impactful, as is the closing, which is rich in emotion and musical texture. He’s now ready to work on the next one.

After the translation recording is completed, everything will be in place to finalize the project, including an insert that will be inside the DVD packaging to introduce you to several companies that either sell MMS, or have complementary products. I’ll share the designs here when they are finalized.

I have more to say on another subject, but that will require its own post.

In short, this guy has a rather vested interest in MMS being sold in large quantities!

I don't think the Adam Abraham cited on IMDB is the one we're interested in. A page on the phaelos website at _http://www.phaelos.com/adam.html says AA passed his 50th birthday in 2001. There's a picture of him as well. Here's the text from the page:

Adam Abraham

The answer that Adam Abraham will give to the inevitable question of "where have you been all these years?" that is sure to rise is, "figuring things out." Having passed his 50th birthday late in 2001, he has an idea or two about how "things" -- as it relates to individual and social dynamics -- are done.

Mr. Abraham is the son of Alton Abraham (1926-1999), who formed El Saturn Records in the late 1950's and was the major force behind the legendary jazz group, Sun Ra and his Astro Ihnfinity Arkestra. His father and mother divorced when he was still a toddler. But both parents had a profound impact on his life. He attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, majoring in Architecture and Business. He left college in his third year, and began his educational journey in the school of life. His insights have been formed from many years of observation, analysis, and introspection from an invisible position "outside the loop."

Mr. Abraham would be a social science demographer's worst nightmare. He will be an inspiration to "regular folk" around the world. A "black" man from inner-city Chicago who grew up in a broken home, raised by two women (mother and grandmother), attended public school, was at times a "latchkey" child, and college dropout, would be a longshot to shine in an intelligence test, or win a "Most Likely to Succeed" nomination. But intelligent and insightful he is, and succeed, he will. His presentation is principled, well reasoned, ethical, religion and race neutral, and human spirit-centered.

After migrating to Southern California in 1979, Adam Abraham spent a large portion of his life silently giving his talents to enterprises and pursuits, some of which were quite mystical and obscure. He spent many years studying the principals of mysticism, eastern and western philosophy and science. Through it all he discovered not only his writing voice, but there emerged the vision to seize today's technological opportunities and use them to build an enterprise that will last beyond tomorrow.

In 2004, Mr. Abraham left beloved California and moved to Arizona, currently living in the East Valley suburban community of Chandler.

CREDENTIALS: Mr. Abraham published ContinuuM magazine (1997-98), and numerous essays. Since 2000 he became a regular contributor to Interracial Voice. In addition to I Am My Body, NOT!, which is already available and in print, five books will be released by Phaelos Books in 2005/2006 written or edited by Mr. Abraham. The titles include: Sun Ra: Collected Works, Vol. 1--Immeasurable Equation, A Freed Man: An Emancipation Proclamation, I Am Spirit!, My Soul's Shadow, Four-Point-Six Billion Years, and Forever. There are more... books, essay collections, plus music and video to come... he's been thinking for quite some time! Now it's time to speak!

AVAILABILITY: Phoenix, Arizona and Southwest; nationwide by arrangement and via telephone.

It seems he's really besotted with MMS and Jim Humble. He was at this year's Nexus Conference when Humble was there. The following is Abraham's latest blog entry at _http://phaelosopher.wordpress.com/ posted on August 29 2010.

I took the picture of Jim Humble in May, at the Van Gogh Cafe in Amsterdam. We were trying to find a place to eat, and to do a short interview during a break from the Nexxus Conference, where Jim was a speaker. It was a very short stay in Amsterdam, a beautiful city. The next day — Sunday — we were in southern Germany where Jim gave another talk on MMS.

I left them in Germany and headed for London, where I spent six days and conducted some interviews on another aspect of MMS that I’ll talk about later. That weekend, Jim spoke in Prague, staying in Germany much of that time. BTW, you should see this new European MMS site.

The site was created by Leo Koehof, a writer, photographer and videographer, who has traveled through Africa, witnessing and documenting his work there. I met Leo on my first trip to the Dominnican Republic earlier this year, and had the pleasure of journeying with him and three other classmates, on that memorable trip to Haiti.

The video below is excerpted from my interview with Jim a couple of weeks ago on my second visit to the D.R.

I wasn't able to watch the entire video on Natural News. Did anybody watch the whole thing? Can you give me a synopsis?
