I'm on Peter Myers' mailing list and he frequently sends around some interesting things. Recently, he has engaged with Lasha Darkmoon (not her real name) and I think these exchanges deserve reading and archiving. It begins with Peter's commentary:
___________________________________________________

Lasha, Jews, Sex and Art

Dr Lasha Darkmoon (not her real name) is a young female academic who has written some controversial articles on Jews, Sex and Art.

Sex and the Jews: Letter to a Jewish Correspondent
August 29, 2010 http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Darkmoon-Jews&Sex.html

Sex Plague
October 6, 2010 http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Darkmoon-Sex-Plague.html

But even though she has many valid points, I find her writing slightly overdone. Items 1 & 2 are an exchange between us.

In 2007, the German Government put out a publication (item 5) encouraging fathers to massage the sex organs of their daughters as young as 1 to 3 years of age. Outraged Christians had it withdrawn - rightly so.

But Lasha comments, in item 3 (Sex Plague), that the withdrawn publication had promoted "a crash course in the Kama Sutra" for young children.

That's overdone. It demeans the Kama Sutra by association with something it had no connection with.

Equally overdone is Peter Singer's justification of Bestiality (item 4), which Lasha draws attention to in her "Sex and the Jews" article.

Jews Run Hollywood So What? : http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/Moment-Hollywood.jpg (item 7)

We lose our teenagers to Hollywood. But why? One reason is that it condones sex. If we rear them in a sexless world, they'll be more likely to take Hollywood's lure. Rather, we need to allow for sex and sex-culture, but not in Hollywood's brash, trashy way.

India's erotic statues (in its temples) are not defiling in the way pornography is. The problem with pornography is not the displaying of the body, but the separating of the body from the personality, the turning of sex into a purely mechanical act devoid of deep contact between two persons.

The sculptures in Indian temples are beatiful - and the Temples of Khajuraho and Konark are UNESCO World Heritage sites - whereas none of the Jewish Porn or Art photos Lasha displays are so.

The Indian sculptures always leave much to the imagination - whereas pornography does not.

In short, pornography eliminates the soul from the picture. Sex in those statues is clearly between, not just bodies but persons. and the aim is to give delight to the other person. That's why it's associated with notions of love, even if in short-term encounters. Indian sculptures are completely different from Jewish pornography.

The sexes exist in relation to each other ... we live for each other: we are each other's delight. The delight is suggested by the old euphemism for sex, as "knowing" another person.

Lasha,

There is a plague of rampant licentiousness, as you say, but the phrase "sex plague" needs a qualifier, as one can see by analogy with food.

One might speak of a plague of "junk food", but one would not call it a "food plague", as if food per se is unpleasant. Instead, one would call it a "junk food plague". By analogy, one might refer to a plague of soulless sex; or a profanity of sex.

The term "sex plague", without a qualifier, implies a Manichean distaste for sex. The Christian fundamentalists want to return to the old repressive days. You yourself may not have such a view, but readers in wider society - outside the Far Right - may get that impression.

I myself would like to put your article out to my email bulletin, which reaches acadamics and influential people outside the Far Right; but without the (relatively small) modifications I have suggested, it would be vulnerable to being "shot down" by critics, not least on account of its misquoting Freud.

You have not modied your Sex Plague article, even though the Freud quote, as you have it, is actually a conjunction of two quotes, separated by "...".

This is not really accurate, yet you use the "Dr" prefix to imply academic standards. You can't have it both ways.

The context of Freud's "plague" comment - that is was made to Jung, who used to quote it to his students - is not at all unimportant. It is you who are making much of this quote, so it is not "nitpicking" to check out its etiology as I have done.

But Jung was no conspirator against Western values. And if Freud said it in a conspiratorial tone, he would be be betraying his secret to an enemy.

Therefore it would appear that Freud was joking. That is, only half serious, but with perhaps a sting that is noticeable in hindsight.

Not all of Psychoanalysis has been harmful. Dr John Bowlby, inventor of the term "Bonding", developed his Attachment theory partly out of his Psychoanalytic background. Attachment theory relates Bonding to our instinctive side - to Ethology.

This was a key theme of my B.A. Hons thesis in Anthrolopology; it dealt with the conduct of Childbirth. When sheep and goats give birth, human interference (eg touching the baby) can interfere with Bonding, leading the mother to reject it. I myself have had to bottle-feed a lamb on this account.

The modern conduct of human birth is wrongly done, from this biological viewpoint. The result is 30% Cesareans, and an epidemic of Postpartum depression. After I became aware of the pitfalls, three of my own children were home births.

Sex culture existed before Judaism was invented. The Gilgamesh Epic is full of sex; it was the leading epic story of Sumeria, the first civilization, and well-known wherever Babylonian culture spread, eg in the Canaanite/Phoenician and early Greek worlds of the Meditterranean. http://mailstar.net/adam-and-eve.html

The Song of Solomon, ie Song of Songs, is a book in the Jewish Bible which inherits much of that Sumerian/Babylonian sex-culture. It's the only book of the Jewish Bible which does not mention God. Yet it's in all the Canons.

The Harappan Civilization featured the same sex-culture; there was civilizational continuity all the way from the Fertile Crescent to north-west India.

The Dionysiac culture of Greece preserved that sex culture in the Western world; and it still erupts periodically.

Futher, the Osirian rite of Egypt had a sex theme; Oriris was the counterpart of Siva (of India) and Dionysius (of Greece). See Siva and Dionysius, by Alain Danielou (brother of Cardinal Jean Danielou). http://mailstar.net/india-pakistan.html

However, none of those sex-cultures were trashy or brash like Jewish "Modern Art" and the Jewish Pornographers you feature in your Art and Sex webpages. They are really ANTI-civilizational, nihilistic.

It's important to make the distinction.

We DO need to get rid of Pornography and re-introduce Censorship. But the changes must not banish sex per se, as many Christian Fundamentalists would have; it's vital to settle on a middle position, rather than return to the cloister or cast sex as the domain of the Devil.

That's why it's important to make some (relatively minor) corrections to your Art and Sex webpages. http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Darkmoon-Sex-Plague.html

I am aware of at least one article on MacDonald's website which has been modified since being placed there. Specifically, Eric Knutsson modified his articles on Jews, Vienna & Postmodernism. So, you could do this if you wish; if you do, can I suggest that you give the date of the update.

You challenged me to put your letter on my website. What I will do is put it out to my mailing list, with this rejoinder.

Can I suggest that you also put this letter of mine in your forum?

Israel Shamir put your material out to his email list; hopefully he will put this letter out too.

(2) I value your opinions... but I have my own!

Dear Peter,

Thank you for these learned cogitations. You certainly know a lot more about Freud than I do and have done meticulous research. But do lighten up, old chap. The nitpicking and pettifogging objections you raise to my use of the title "Sex Plague" are simply not acceptable to me. I reject them totally—and no offense intended! For example, you say:

"In that quote, Freud appears to be calling Psychoanalysis a plague. He's not calling Sex a plague."

How obtuse can you get, Peter? Am I calling sex a plague? No, I am not! I do not think sex per se is a plague. There is nothing wrong with healthy sex. Am I sugesting that Freud himself called sex a plague? No, I am not! Freud thought people would benefit from more sex, not less. So I am not suggesting that Freud had a negative attitude to sex in which he was more or less saying, "Sex is a damn plague!"

What I am suggesting is two things, neither of which you will probably agree with:

(1) That Psychoanalysis is the "plague" that Freud was referring to because it was an ideology that helped to undermine Christian mores (as MacDonald has pointed out repeatedly). It was this "plague" that led to the Frankfurt School, to Marcuse and Reich, and that helped to bring on the sexual revolution of the Swinging Sixties—and today we have the legacy of all that: rampant sexual permissiveness and almost universal licentiousness that is NOT improving the quality of life for its countless victims. I do not approve of a world in which everyone is a mini Marquis de Sade. Sorry.

(2) It is precisely this collapse in sexual morality, this rampant licentiousness that I am referring to when I use the phrase "sex plague". This is EXACTLY what we have on our hands: a sexual infection, a mind disease rooted in sex, ie., a SEX PLAGUE. So there is nothing wrong with my title whatsoever. I couldn't have found an apter title.

If you cannot concede a point when you are in the wrong, Peter, you are frankly not worth arguing with. The mark of a good scholar and a man of true intellect is to be ruled by logic. You are not. You stick to your guns as a matter of pride, more concerned with foisting your erroneous opinions on others than in giving ground gracefully when you are wrong. A seminarian? Well, they certainly didn't teach you any humility there! Less ego, dear Peter, would make you a more credible pundit. I never did see eye to eye with earnest ectomorphs...and you appear to be one of them. Listen, the world is full of variety! We don't all have to be intellectual replicas of Peter Myers—we don't have to be PM clones!

Get a life, Peter, and allow others to espouse their views without bombarding them with contant nitpicking letters talling them to shape up and join the Peter Myers Admiration Society!

Kind regards from a wellwisher,

Lasha D

PS. It's possible I've misconstrued your postion. In which case, heartfelt apologies. You have certainly misconstruded my position. Incidentally, my articles on sex have been translated into other languages and the comments I have received from others have without exception been full of extravagant praise. Not ONE negative letter — except for yours. I have repeatedly been told by my appreciative readers that I have put into moving and lucid language the thoughts and feelings they have had themselves. Whose opinions do you think I value most: the positive opinions of 99.0% of my public or the pettifoging objections and academic nitpickings of a lone wolf ectomorph?

PPS. I bet you wouldn't have the courage to publish this letter on your website. If you were to do so, I would possibly revise my opinion of you as an ivory tower ectomorph who sees life through the smudgy-lensed spectacles of books! Once again, dear Peter, get a life! Live and let live! Allow diversity of opinions! More tolerance toward the opinions of others and less intellectual fascism!!!

Sex Plague

Dr. Lasha Darkmoon

October 3, 2010

A recent pamphlet published by the German government contains these chilling words:

Fathers do not devote enough attention to the clitoris and vagina of their daughters. The child touches all parts of their father’s body, sometimes arousing him. The father should do the same.

Toddlers are to be encouraged to indulge in “unlimited masturbation.” Their parents are expected to offer practical demonstrations if need be — the better to produce sexual precocity in their offspring. “Children should learn there is no such thing as shameful parts of the body,” the booklet advises. “The body is a home you should be proud of.”

Children, it is suggested, should be taught the movements of copulation as soon as they reach the age of four, giving them what virtually amounts to a crash course in the Kama Sutra as soon as they have learnt to walk.

Depravity, it seems, cannot be taught too early.

In Holland, things have gone further. Here a political party, set up by convicted pedophiles, clamors for the legalization of child pornography and intergenerational sex between children of twelve and adults old enough to be their grandparents. I forgot to mention bestiality. They want to legalize that too. (See here for a full report).

Who is to blame for the sex addictions we see suppurating all round us? This licentiousness, growing by the day, thanks to the internet and the mass media, is far deadlier and more destructive than it was half a century ago, before the sexual revolution.

Those who are responsible for this sickening depravity are clearly the people who started the sexual revolution. They are the people, moreover, who control the mass media.

Who controls the media? Who determines the imagery and attitudes drip-feeding steadily into the minds of the public? Who runs Hollywood? Who contaminates mass consciousness? Who defiles the collective mind? Who pulls the puppet strings of marionette man? Who are the Bad Shepherds leading the sheeple astray?

Who are to blame, in short, for letting the world go to hell in a handcart?

I won’t bother to answer that question. More to the point, I dare not. If you don’t know who owns the media—lock, stock and barrel—you’re wasting your time reading this article.

Art and Sexual Subversion: The Vaginocentric Female Artist

Let me resume here my discussion of sexual depravity which formed the basis of my recent article Sex and the Jews; and let me begin by saying a few words on art, a subject I know something about. (See here and here). And then let me proceed to the subject of pornography and consider its deployment in the systematic demoralization of the masses.

First, ask yourself this question: is there anything intrinsically admirable or aesthetically pleasing about British painter Tracey Emin’s attention-seekingleg-and-vagina paintings?

If you were a man of taste, which of these two depictions of the Eternal Feminine would you prefer: this beautiful woman painted by Botticelli or theugly feminist icon who appears below?

Botticelli’s Venus

Feminist icon Tracey Emin: "I've got it all"

Consider only these titles by the outrageously untalented Emin and draw your own conclusions: Everyone I Have Ever Slept With, -flicking- Down An Ally (sic), Asleep Alone With Legs Open (several large-scale canvases of her splayed legs and vagina), I’ve Got It All (legs splayed again, clutching banknotes to her crotch), Weird Sex, CV -kunta kintay- Vernacular, Is Anal Sex Legal, Masturbating, Get Ready For the -flick- Of Your Life.

With titles like these, Tracey Emin could hardly fail. Her rich Jewish patron, advertising mogul Charles Saatchi, knew he was on to a good thing.

As the Gadarene swine hurtle over the cliff top, Tracey Emin and her kind clearly lead the pack on their way down into the bottomless abyss. These are the dupes of organized Jewry. By doing exactly what appeals to art patrons (almost all Jewish; see below), these infinitely corrupt talentless opportunistsknow they will become rich and famous.

The sad truth is that so many female “artists” — almost all of them rabid feminists and sexual exhibitionists — have nothing to sell but vaginas.

Here are ten other vagina-obsessed females, apart from Tracey Emin and the notorious Annie Sprinkle (see my previous article), who use sex to sell their “art”: Karen Finley, Hannah Wilke, Carolee Schneeman, Andrea Fraser, Sarah Lucas, Marlene McCarty, Vanessa Beecroft, Malerie Marder, Katy Grannan, and Kembra Pfahler.

Being unable to paint properly or produce objects of lasting value, these exhibitionists like to display their vaginas to the world and call it “art”. Here is one such exhibitionist, Jewish performance artist Carolee Schneemann, pulling a paper scroll out of her vagina:

Carolee Schneemann: “I saw the vagina as enlivened by its passage from the visible to the invisible, a spiralled coil with the shape of desire and generative mysteries….”

Who helps to promote this pretentious claptrap? You don’t need three guesses to answer that question.

In 2001, ARTnews listed the world’s Top Ten Art Collectors. Eight of them were Jews. Ponder these staggering statistics: A people who constitute 0.2% of the world’s population make up 80% of the world’s richest art collectors. Out of every thousand people in the world, roughly two are Jews. To be precise, one in every 457 people are Jews. Yet go to a conference at which 1000 of the world’s wealthiest art collectors have gathered and you will find, to your amazement, that 800 of them are Jewish! Phenomenal, isn’t it? (See here)

Some of the vaginocentric exhibitionists mentioned above, like lesbian “performance artist” Annie Sprinkle, maintain websites blocked by porn filters. The aptly named Sprinkle—a nom de porn in honor of urolagnia — is the lady who douched her vagina onstage in 1991, before lying down and opening her legs so that members of the audience, mostly male, couldinspect her cervix with the help of a flashlight and speculum.

Annie Sprinkle (Ellen Steinberg): performance artist, prostitute, porn actress, feminist icon, and lesbian diva of depravity. Her idea of “art” is to masturbate onstage with sex toys, her legs wide open, and invite members of a predominantly male audience to peer up her vagina with torchlight and speculum. Sprinkle’s show was fundedby the National Endowment for the Arts, a mini-empire controlled by the hidden hand of organized Jewry.

If Sprinkle acquired fame and fortune by allowing dirty old men to peep between her legs, Hannah Wilke and Karen Finley sought variations in which the vulva was again put to good use. The Jewish Wilke, being sadly deficient in originality, molded bits of chewing gum into vulvas and stuck them all over her body, much to the delight of the dirty old men who could now examine an assortment of vulvas simultaneously instead of just one. Not to be outdone, Finley smeared her naked torso with chocolate syrup and performed public acts—using a yam—which I won’t describe in detail in case nuns are reading this article. Rape, flatulence and menstruation formed the least offensive items in her repertoire.

Andrea Fraser, however, deserves first prize for sheer chutzpah. This raunchy performance artist arranged to meet a man at the Royalton Hotel in Manhattan, owned by Jewish hotelier Ian Shrager. Above the bed, an overhead camera played Peeping Tom. The man was persuaded to part with $20,000 for the privilege of helping to create a “work of art” with the frisky Fraser, the said work of art being a pornographic video filming the two participants copulating on a Queen-size bed. This sex video, now available for posterity, is pretentiously called “Untitled”.

It’s not “art” we’re dealing with here, of course. It’s pornography pure and simple.

The Jewish Affinity for Porn

Nina Hartley, Jewish porn star, who is reported to have said, “I’ve yet to meet a Jewish guy who wasn’t a horny rabbit.”

Jews dominate the world’s $10 billion a year porn industry, roughly 90 per cent of which is generated within the United States.

As many as 260 new porn sites go online daily, more than ten sites an hour.

Since Jews are known to dominate the porn industry and comprise only 2% of America’s population, it is reasonable to suppose that most of the new sites being started up every hour are being started up by Jews.

It is even more alarming to note how sex is now deployed by many American Jews as a weapon against Christianity with its socially cohesive and family-friendly values.

Jewish pornographer Al Goldstein’s infamous words — “The only reason that Jews are in pornography is that we think that Christ sucks”—surely tell us all we need to know about the bitter hatred felt by so many Jews for the Western countries that have harboured them and given them hospitality for so long.

Jewish hatred for Christianity is legendary — spanning the Jewish political spectrum, from the far left to the neoconservative right — can hardly be doubted. It is indeed legandary, as the picture below makes only too clear.

“Christ sucks!”

The arrogance and sense of entitlement of so many Jews, whose values Al Goldstein seems to have imbibed with his mother’s milk, never cease to astonish me. “The difference between a Jewish soul and the soul of non-Jews,” Rabbi Kook assures us, “is greater and deeper than the difference between a human soul and the soul of cattle.” Given that Rabbi Kook would be the first to agree that rabbis form the intellectual and spiritual backbone of Jewry, one is tempted to ask what makes a man become a rabbi in the first place. Is it the thirst for God? Is it the wish to save one’s soul and help others along the path to salvation?

Here is Jewish actor Richard Pacheco who couldn’t quite make up his mind whether to become a rabbi or a porn star:

Five years before I got my first part in an adult film. ... I went to an audition for an X-rated film with my hair down to my ass, a copy of Wilhelm Reich’s Sexual Revolution under my arm and yelling about work, love and sex, which were Reich’s three principles. These things have got to be in balance or your life is going to be -flicked-.

Note that Pacheco had signed on to the radical left-Freudian views of Wilhelm Reich—the wackiest and most extreme of the subversive sexual ideologies that emerged from psychoanalysis. Jewish devotees of psychoanalysis typically saw it, first and foremost, as a blow against Christian sexual mores; hence, as a sneak attack on Christianity itself. For Jews, psychoanalysis placed Western culture on the couch. It was an assertion of Jewish contempt for Christian culture—the culture of the outgroup now destined for the dustbin of history.

Pacheco didn’t get the job, but he kept on auditioning, since all he really wanted was to screw gorgeous blonde shiksas—doubtless an atavistic expression of Jewish hatred for the goyim, every act of sex being an act of revenge.

Five years later I auditioned for another X-rated film. That very day, I also interviewed at Hebrew Union Seminary to do rabbinical study. I made the choice that the kind of rabbi I would be, if I became one, was one that could have been performing in sex films as part of his experience. (My emphasis, see here).

Mindboggling, isn’t it? This dupe of the sexual revolution couldn’t make up his mind whether to sing hymns to God or kiss the devil’s ass! In the end, it’s the devil who won out. Pacheco decided to build a career in pornography—with the full blessings, incidentally, of ADL chairman Abe Foxman who said that porn offered American Jews a valid and worthy way “to pursue the American dream.”

Richard Pacheco (b. 1948). Scion of an orthodox Jewish family from Pittsburg, Pacheco was attracted from an early age to the rabbinate and to porn in equal measure. Star of over 100 X-rated films and winner of countless awards for his sexual prowess in front of the cameras, Pacheco was lucky to receive the loyal support of his wife Ashley. Managing somehow to juggle a career in porn with a commitment to family life, Pacheco later had sex with Ashley “considerably less open after they had children and AIDS became a threat, but he credits his pornography career for giving him the opportunity to continue sexual encounters for a time without endangering his home life.”

Here is Pacheco being interviewed after his retirement from porn:

As a young husband, I had no idea how to ask my beloved wife to be my “-flick--your-ass -jezebel-”. Yeah, I wanted some of that kind of sex, some very, very selfish lust with a sex kitten. A “-flick--me--flick--me” woman. There’d be corsets and leathers, high-heeled boots laced up to crotchless panties, breasts spilling out of nippleless bras in lush bordello bedrooms filled up with sex toys. Like blindfolds and vibrators, handcuffs and paddles. Yeah, and there’d be me with a genuine tarted up won’t-say-no-woman. All the best drugs and oils in the world and plenty of time. And there’d be no “I love you” in any of it! I would meet this X-rated woman at the hotel where they were holding the auditions…and I would have sex with her right there in the hotel elevator! And then I would go home to my wife.

Richard Pacheco (a recent photo). Asked if he still watched adult movies now that he was a Senior Citizen, the former rabbinical student replied: “Not much. Occasionally I’ll toss one on for masturbation if my wife ain’t around.” (See here).

In 1984, Pacheco won the Best Couples Sex Scene (video) with porn starNina Hartley. In 1999, he was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame with feminist porn diva Annie Sprinkle. In 2000, along with Sprinkle, he was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Free Speech Coalition (FSC), an organization that had given Nina Hartley an award only a few months earlier. (See here).

Note that these three luminaries of lust—Pacheco, Sprinkle and Hartley—are all Jewish pornographers and that the impressively named “Free Speech Coalition” is in fact a trade association set up in 1991 to safeguard the interests of “adult entertainers” — pornographers who for the most part areJewish.

The FSC rejects all claims that pornography is addictive; it refuses to consider the possibility that serial killers and rapists could in any way be influenced by inflammatory erotica.

In an important court case in 2002, Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition, the US Supreme Court decided in the Coalition's favour, thereby making it easier for pornographers to demoralize Americans, corrupt their children, and promote a general debasement of values — all this in accordance, incidentally, with the Frankfurt School agenda of producing a “culture of pessimism” designed to foster anarchy and promote impotent anger and despair. (Seehere and here).

Our new elite is clearly engaged in the business of mind manipulation and mass demoralization, nor will it rest until it has rebuilt the world in the image of a new Sodom and Gomorrah — a dystopic nightmare.

America, 2050

Apocalypse America

I have said it before, and I will say it again:

A great storm is brewing and only a military coup or revolution can now save America. Save it from what? From the spiritual cancer that is consuming it from within, and from the foreign wars into which it is being lured—Afghanistan, Iraq, and soon perhaps Iran—on behalf of another nation and its indefatigable agents in America.

Unless a miracle soon occurs and some charismatic leader comes to our rescue, an unimaginably bleak future surely awaits us: a future in which the only consolations left to us will be mindless entertainment, drugs, alcohol, sexual intoxication—and suicide.

Depravity appears to have no limits, as those who have surfed the internet have often discovered to their cost. The most appalling sexual addictions now render even children helpless. Many a marriage is blighted and ends in ruins amid these terrifying toxins.

And yet, we are only at the beginning. We have many a slime-green step to go before we reach rock bottom. Abyss yawns below bottomless abyss, and even to peer into these black moral chasms is to make us giddy with vertigo.

There is indeed no end to man’s depravity.

And now…

Things fall apart. The centre cannot hold. The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere the ceremony of innocence is drowned.

And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born…?

(4) Peter Singer justifies Bestiality

http://www.utilitarian.net/singer/by/2001----.htm

Heavy Petting

PETER SINGER

Nerve, 2001

Not so long ago, any form of sexuality not leading to the conception of children was seen as, at best, wanton lust, or worse, a perversion. One by one, the taboos have fallen. The idea that it could be wrong to use contraception in order to separate sex from reproduction is now merely quaint. If some religions still teach that masturbation is "self-abuse," that just shows how out of touch they have become. Sodomy? That's all part of the joy of sex, recommended for couples seeking erotic variety. In many of the world's great cities, gays and lesbians can be open about their sexual preferences to an extent unimaginable a century ago. You can even do it in the U.S. Armed Forces, as long as you don't talk about it. Oral sex? Some objected to President Clinton' choice of place and partner, and others thought he should have been more honest about what he had done, but no one dared suggest that he was unfit to be President simply because he had taken part in a sexual activity that was, in many jurisdictions, a crime.

But not every taboo has crumbled. Heard anyone chatting at parties lately about how good it is having sex with their dog? Probably not. Sex with animals is still definitely taboo. If Midas Dekkers, author of Dearest Pet, has got it right, this is not because of its rarity. Dekkers, a Dutch biologist and popular naturalist, has assembled a substantial body of evidence to show that humans have often thought of "love for animals" in ways that go beyond a pat and a hug, or a proper concern for the welfare of members of other species. His book has a wide range of illustrations, going back to a Swedish rock drawing from the Bronze Age of a man -flicking- a large quadruped of indeterminate species. There is a Greek vase from 520 BC showing a male figure having sex with a stag; a seventeenth-century Indian miniature of a deer mounting a woman; an eighteenth-century European engraving of an ecstatic nun coupling with a donkey, while other nuns look on, smiling; a nineteenth-century Persian painting of a soldier, also with a donkey; and, from the same period, a Japanese drawing of a woman enveloped by a giant octopus who appears to be sucking her -kunta kintay-, as well as caressing her body with its many limbs.

How much of this is fantasy, the King Kong-ish archetypes of an earlier age? In the 1940s, Kinsey asked twenty thousand Americans about their sexual behavior, and found that 8 percent of males and 3.5 percent of females stated that they had, at some time, had a sexual encounter with an animal. Among men living in rural areas, the figure shot up to 50 percent. Dekkers suggests that for young male farm hands, animals provided an outlet for sexual desires that could not be satisfied when girls were less willing to have sex before marriage. Based on twentieth-century court records in Austria where bestiality was regularly prosecuted, rural men are most likely to have vaginal intercourse with cows and calves, less frequently with mares, foals and goats and only rarely with sheep or pigs. They may also take advantage of the sucking reflex of calves to get them to do a blowjob.

Women having sex with bulls or rams, on the other hand, seems to be more a matter of myth than reality. For three-quarters of the women who told Kinsey that they had had sexual contact with an animal, the animal involved was a dog, and actual sexual intercourse was rare. More commonly the woman limited themselves to touching and masturbating the animal, or having their genitals licked by it.

Much depends, of course, on how the notion of a sexual relationship is defined. Zoologist Desmond Morris has carried out research confirming the commonplace observation that girls are far more likely to be attracted to horses than boys, and he has suggested that "sitting with legs astride a rhythmically moving horse undoubtedly has a sexual undertone." Dekkers agrees, adding that "the horse is the ideal consolation for the great injustice done to girls by nature, of awakening sexually years before the boys in their class, who are still playing with their train sets . . . "

The existence of sexual contact between humans and animals, and the potency of the taboo against it, displays the ambivalence of our relationship with animals. On the one hand, especially in the Judeo-Christian tradition — less so in the East — we have always seen ourselves as distinct from animals, and imagined that a wide, unbridgeable gulf separates us from them. Humans alone are made in the image of God. Only human beings have an immortal soul. In Genesis, God gives humans dominion over the animals. In the Renaissance idea of the Great Chain of Being, humans are halfway between the beasts and the angels. We are spiritual beings as well as physical beings. For Kant, humans have an inherent dignity that makes them ends in themselves, whereas animals are mere means to our ends. Today the language of human rights — rights that we attribute to all human beings but deny to all nonhuman animals — maintains this separation.

On the other hand there are many ways in which we cannot help behaving just as animals do — or mammals, anyway — and sex is one of the most obvious ones. We copulate, as they do. They have penises and vaginas, as we do, and the fact that the vagina of a calf can be sexually satisfying to a man shows how similar these organs are. The taboo on sex with animals may, as I have already suggested, have originated as part of a broader rejection of non-reproductive sex. But the vehemence with which this prohibition continues to be held, its persistence while other non-reproductive sexual acts have become acceptable, suggests that there is another powerful force at work: our desire to differentiate ourselves, erotically and in every other way, from animals.

Almost a century ago, when Freud had just published his groundbreaking Three Essays on Sexuality, the Viennese writer Otto Soyka published a fiery little volume called Beyond the Boundary of Morals. Never widely known, and now entirely forgotten, it was a polemic directed against the prohibition of "unnatural" sex like bestiality, homosexuality, fetishism and other non-reproductive acts. Soyka saw these prohibitions as futile and misguided attempts to limit the inexhaustible variety of human sexual desire. Only bestiality, he argued, should be illegal, and even then, only in so far as it shows cruelty towards an animal. Soyka's suggestion indicates one good reason why some of the acts described in Dekkers book are clearly wrong, and should remain crimes. Some men use hens as a sexual object, inserting their penis into the cloaca, an all-purpose channel for wastes and for the passage of the egg. This is usually fatal to the hen, and in some cases she will be deliberately decapitated just before ejaculation in order to intensify the convulsions of its sphincter. This is cruelty, clear and simple. (But is it worse for the hen than living for a year or more crowded with four or five other hens in barren wire cage so small that they can never stretch their wings, and then being stuffed into crates to be taken to the slaughterhouse, strung upside down on a conveyor belt and killed? If not, then it is no worse than what egg producers do to their hens all the time.)

But sex with animals does not always involve cruelty. Who has not been at a social occasion disrupted by the household dog gripping the legs of a visitor and vigorously rubbing its penis against them? The host usually discourages such activities, but in private not everyone objects to being used by her or his dog in this way, and occasionally mutually satisfying activities may develop. Soyka would presumably have thought this within the range of human sexual variety.

At a conference on great apes a few years ago, I spoke to a woman who had visited Camp Leakey, a rehabilitation center for captured orangutans in Borneo run by Birute Galdikas, sometimes referred to as "the Jane Goodall of orangutans" and the world's foremost authority on these great apes. At Camp Leakey, the orangutans are gradually acclimatised to the jungle, and as they get closer to complete independence, they are able to come and go as they please. While walking through the camp with Galdikas, my informant was suddenly seized by a large male orangutan, his intentions made obvious by his erect penis. Fighting off so powerful an animal was not an option, but Galdikas called to her companion not to be concerned, because the orangutan would not harm her, and adding, as further reassurance, that "they have a very small penis." As it happened, the orangutan lost interest before penetration took place, but the aspect of the story that struck me most forcefully was that in the eyes of someone who has lived much of her life with orangutans, to be seen by one of them as an object of sexual interest is not a cause for shock or horror. The potential violence of the orangutan's come-on may have been disturbing, but the fact that it was an orangutan making the advances was not. That may be because Galdikas understands very well that we are animals, indeed more specifically, we are great apes. This does not make sex across the species barrier normal, or natural, whatever those much-misused words may mean, but it does imply that it ceases to be an offence to our status and dignity as human beings.

German Government Publication Promotes Incestuous Pedophilia as Healthy Sex Ed

Micheal O'Brien, author on crisis of culture in West, says this "German state intervention in family life is a new level of auto-destruction"

BERLIN, July 30, 2007 (LifeSiteNews.com)

Booklets from a subsidiary of the German government's Ministry for Family Affairs encourage parents to sexually massage their children as young as 1 to 3 years of age. Two 40-page booklets entitled "Love, Body and Playing Doctor" by the German Federal Health Education Center (Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung - BZgA) are aimed at parents - the first addressing children from 1-3 and the other children from 4-6 years of age.

"Fathers do not devote enough attention to the clitoris and vagina of their daughters. Their caresses too seldom pertain to these regions, while this is the only way the girls can develop a sense of pride in their sex," reads the booklet regarding 1-3 year olds. The authors rationalize, "The child touches all parts of their father's body, sometimes arousing him. The father should do the same."

Canadian author and public speaker Michael O'Brien who has written and spoken extensively about the crisis of culture in the West spoke to LifeSiteNews.com about the shocking and extremely disturbing phenomenon. It is, he said, "State-encouraged incest, which in most civilized societies is a crime." The development is, he suggests, a natural outcome of the rejection of the Judeo-Christian moral order.

"The imposed social revolution that has swept the western world is moving to a new stage as it works out the logical consequences of its view of man's value," said O'Brien. "It is merely obeying its strictly materialist philosophy of man. If man is no more than a creature created for pleasure or power. If he is no more than a cell in the social organism, then no moral standards, no psychological truths, no spiritual truths can refute the 'will to power' and the 'will to pleasure'."

The pamphlet advises parents to permit young children "unlimited masturbation" except where physical injury becomes apparent. It advises: "Children should learn that there is no such thing as shameful parts of the body. The body is a home, which you should be proud of." For ages 4-6, the booklet recommends teaching children the movements of copulation.

Another product of the BZgA is a song book aimed at children of four and slightly older which includes several songs espousing masturbation. The song-book entitled "Nose, belly and bum" includes one song with the following lyrics: "When I touch my body, I discover what I have. I have a vagina, because I am a girl. Vagina is not only for peeing. When I touch it, I feel a pleasant tingle."

"The wiser and deeper position of most civilizations recognized that children need a period of innocence," commented O'Brien. "Now the state, the German state, is encouraging destruction of this state of innocence," he added. "This is consistent with the materialist philosophy that sees all moral norms and all truths about human nature as repressive. Pleasure and their distorted concept of freedom are their only guiding principles."

According to the Polish daily newspaper Rzeczpospolita, the BZgA booklet is an obligatory read in nine German regions. It is used for training nursery, kindergarten and elementary school teachers. Ironically it is recommended by many organizations officially fighting pedophilia, such as the German Kunderschutzbund. BZgA sends out millions of copies of the booklet every year.

"A society such as Germany's which is already in steep decline, indeed into degeneration, will only inherit the whirlwind of violence and further levels of degradation of their own people," warned O'Brien.

"It has happened before in Germany. It has happened in other nations. Different causes but the same dynamic, the rejection of the moral order of the created universe results in radical evil. The German state intervention in family life is a new level of auto-destruction," said O'Brien.

Rzeczpospolita reports that the Eckhardt Scheffer of BZgA claimed that before releasing the manual the organization consulted parents, educators and child psychologists. 93% of whom gave a positive evaluation.

Even for a Western nation, Germany's billboards and television ads push the limits of public pornography. Last year LifeSiteNews.com reported that a very popular teen magazine in Germany publishes nude photos of teens in sexual positions which would be in almost any other nation illegal child pornography.

With a licentiousness as the new morality of the secular materialist establishment and homeschool a forbidden practice, parents in Germany may well wonder what will transpire in public education.

"Will those children who are not liberated by their parents have special classes in their schools where they're introduced to these practices," asked O'Brien rhetorically. "If the state intervenes in this way, what won't it intervene in?"

O'Brien concluded his comments quoting G.K. Chesterton: "When men cease to believe in God, they do not thereafter believe in nothing, they then become capable of believing anything." ...

(6) Christians stopped sexual depravity of German kids

http://www.christiantelegraph.com/issue23.html

As many news sites reported earlier, the German Federal Health Education Center published two 40 page booklets, entitled "Love, Body and Playing Doctor" aimed at the parents of children aged 1-3 and 4-6, - invictory.com Christian Portal reports. These books espouse manual sexual contact between fathers and daughters in order for the child to "feel good about her body". Authors of the booklet explained their position by saying: “Kids often touch their fathers’ bodies, and sometimes even excite them. Fathers should do the same to their daughters”. There is also a third songbook aimed at 4-6 year olds directly entitled "Nose, belly and bum" with songs encouraging masturbation. “Children have to understand that there are no shameful parts of their body. Your body is a house that you have to be proud with,” authors say.

Gordon Showell-Rogers, General Secretary of European Evangelical Alliance, gave his comments over the situation with these shocking booklets that raised a huge wave of complaint and protest among Christians to our reporter: “The German Evangelical Alliance (and presumably others) was very unhappy indeed about the content of the booklet, and said so very clearly to all those they know in government”, he says, “This terrible booklet was withdrawn immediately by the German government's 'Minister for Families', after the German Evangelical Alliance, and probably others as well, complained very clearly indeed. The booklet has not been translated and exported - at least not by the German government or anybody associated with the German government. Instead news of the original booklet was spread in other countries. If it had been translated and exported, then the German Evangelical Alliance would certainly have had very major discussions with the government about that, as well! By God's grace, and the pressure of the German Evangelical Alliance and others the booklet is dead - hopefully without any chance of resurrection!”

Jews Run Hollywood So What? : http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/Moment-Hollywood.jpg

General Overview of Massive Jewish Press Ownership

http://www.jewwatch.com/jew-controlledpress-folder.html

Here are some quotes from a magazine for Jews called "Moment". It is subtitled "The Jewish magazine for the 90's" These quotes are from the Aug 1996 edition after the Headline "Jews Run Hollywood - So What?": "It makes no sense at all to try to deny the reality of Jewish power and prominence in popular culture. Any list of the most influential production executives at each of the major movie studios will produce a heavy majority of recognizably Jewish names."

"The famous Disney organization, which was founded by Walt Disney, a gentile Midwesterner who allegedly harbored anti-Semitic attitudes, now features Jewish personnel in nearly all its most powerful positions."

The head of Walt Disney studios is now the Jew Michael Eisner.

On studios that were bought out by the Japanese the magazine says:

"When Mitsushita took over MCA-Universal, they did nothing to undermine the unquestioned authority of Universal's legendary - and all Jewish - management triad of Lew Wasserman, Sid Scheinberg, and Tom Pollack."

Here are some quotes from the paper "Jews Control the Media and Rule America"

"American Broadcasting Companies (ABC), Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS), and National Broadcasting Company (NBC). Each of these three has been under the absolute control of a single man over a long enough period of time-ranging from 32 to 55 years-for him to staff the corporation at every level with officers of his choosing and then to place his imprint indelibly upon it. In each case that man has been a Jew.

"Until 1985, when ABC merged with Capital Cities Communications, Inc...the chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer (CEO) of the network was Leonard Harry Goldenson, a Jew...In an interview in the April 1, 1985 issue of Newsweek, Goldenson boasted 'I built this company (ABC) from scratch.'"

"CBS was under the domination of William S. Paley for more than half a century. The son of immigrant Jews from Russia..." "There has been no move by top G-E management to change the Jewish "profile" of NBC or to replace key Jewish personnel. To the contrary, new Jewish executives have been added: an example is Steve Friedman..."

"The man in charge of the television entertainment division at CBS is Jeff Sagansky. At ABC the entertainment division is run by two men....nearly all of the men who shape young American's concept of reality, of good and evil, of permissible and impermissible behavior are Jews. In particular, Sagansky and Bloomberg are Jews. So is Tartikoff. Littlefield is the only Gentile who has had a significant role in TV entertainment programming in recent years."

"American Film magazine listed the top 10...entertainment companies and their CEOs...Time Warner Communications (Steven J Ross, Jew) Walt Disney Co. (Michael D. Eisner, Jew)...Of the 10 top entertainment CEOs listed above, eight are Jews."

"The Newhouse media empire provides an example of more than a lack of real competition among America's daily newspapers; it also illustrates the insatiable appetite Jews have shown for all organs of opinion... The Newhouse's own 31 daily newspapers, including several large and important ones, such as the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Newark Star-Ledger, and the New Orleans Times-Picayune; the nation's largest trade book publishing conglomerate, Random House, with all its subsidiaries; Newhouse Broadcasting, consisting of 12 television broadcasting stations and 87 cable-TV systems, including some of the countries largest cable networks-the Sunday supplement Parade, with a circulation of more than 22 million copies per week; some two dozen major magazines, including the New Yorker, Vogue, Mademoiselle, Glamour, Vanity Fair, HQ, Bride's, Gentlemen's Quarterly, Self, Home&Garden...."

"Furthermore, even those newspapers still under Gentile ownership and management are so thoroughly dependent upon Jewish advertising..."

"The New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, and the Washington Post. These three...are the newspapers which set trends and guidelines for nearly all others. They are the ones which decide what is news and what isn't, at national and international levels. They originate the news; the others merely copy it. And all three newspapers are in Jewish hands...The Suzberger family also owns, through the New York Times Co. 36 other newspapers; twelve magazines, including McCall's and Family Circle..."

"New York's other newspapers are in no better hands than the Daily News. The New York Post is owned by billionaire Jewish real-estate developer Peter Kalikow. The Village Voice is the personal property of Leonard Stern

"There are only three newsmagazines of any note published in the United States: Time, Newsweek, and U.S. News & World Report....

The CEO of Time Warner Communications is Steven J. Ross, and he is a Jew.

"Newsweek, as mentioned above, is published by the Washington Post Co., under the Jewess Katherine Meyer Graham..."

"U.S. News & World Report... owned and published by Jewish real estate developer Mortimer B. Zucherman..."

" The three largest book publishers...Random House... Simon & Schuster , and Time Inc. Book Co....All three are owned or controlled by Jews...The CEO of Simon & Schuster is Richard Snyder, and the president is Jeremy Kaplan; both are Jews too."

"Western Publishing...ranks first among publishers of childrens books, with more than 50 per cent of the market. Its chairman and CEO is Richard Bernstein, a Jew." "Jewish spokesmen customarily will use evasive tactics. "Ted Turner isn't a Jew!" they will announce..."

"We are doing more than merely giving them a decisive influence on our political system and virtual control of our government; we also are giving them control of the minds and souls of our children..."

Lasha: “Will someone please help by supplying a reliable source for the quote? Perhaps Admin can help…?”

The first part of your quote omits an important qualifier:

As was the case with some of Freud’s close associates described above, Freud viewed himself as a sexual reformer against this most Western of cultural practices, the suppression of sexuality. Freud wrote in 1915: “Sexual morality—as society, in its extreme form, the American, defines it—seems to me very contemptible. I advocate an incomparably freer sexual life” (in Gay 1988, 143). As Gay (1988, 149) notes, it was an ideology which “was deeply subversive for his time.”

The second part of the quote is cited by KMD on page 106 of CoC.

{Peter M.: WRONG: it's p. 110. Unless there are multiple editions; my edition is dated 1998}

We have seen that a common component of Jewish intellectual activity since the Enlightenment has been to criticize gentile culture. Freud’s ideas have often been labeled as subversive. Indeed, “[Freud] was convinced that it was in the very nature of psychoanalytic doctrine to appear shocking and subversive. On board ship to America he did not feel that he was bringing that country a new panacea. With his typically dry wit he told his traveling companions, ‘We are bringing them the plague’” (Mannoni 1971, 168).

All in all, not very good scholarly form, you naughty girl. I’m very disappointed in you. ...

Joking aside, many thanks for supplying a reliable source for the second and far more important quote, “If only Americans knew, we are bringing them the plague!”

I can now refer your excellent post to my fussy correspondent.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In regard to your comment that I had omitted an “important qualifier” from my first quote—i.e., the parenthesis “as society, in its extreme form, the American, defines it”—you fail to understand that not all of us would ascribe equal importance to this “important qualifier.”
I was perfectly aware of the qualifier but omitted it deliberately. You see, I am a writer who believes above all in simplicity and clarity: broad brush strokes. Especially for captions. A caption must be pithy and to the point and not weighed down with academic paraphernalia. Such tangential trivia are for footnotes, not for captions which must capture the reader’s attention right away.
If you look at this passage in my previous article (“Goodbye, America!”, Part 2), you will see that I was aware of the qualifier. I quoted this in the text but deliberately omitted it from the picture caption that immediately followed.
The relevant passage runs:
“A key component of the culture of despair and nihilism was sex. Western mores on sexuality — mores that had the effect of building strong families and providing a safe, loving environment for children — became a prime target of these revolutionaries. Solace and salvation henceforth lay in a hedonistic creed of sexuality.
It was Freud who said, “Sexual morality — as society in its extreme form, the American, defines it — is contemptible. I advocate an incomparably freer sexual life.” (See here.) Other Jewish intellectuals — notably Herbert Marcuse and Wilhelm Reich along with a phalanx of supporters in the media and the universities — marched in lockstep behind Papa Sigmund and spread the message to the masses: salvation through sex.
What is this surplus energy or meaning that brings forth these figures of excessive but also inextinguishable desire? Excess there is, yet is it actually a matter of desire? ‘We bring them the plague, and they don’t even know it,’ Freud is supposed to have said to Jung the day the two of them disembarked in New York harbour in 1908. [9] Whether spoken in jest or not, some would agree, given the strange history of psychoanalysis in the US.
9. Another six degrees of separation? According to Elisabeth Roudinesco, it was Carl G. Jung who related Freud’s remark to Jacques Lacan, who was fond of quoting it to his students. See Elizabeth Roudinesco (1997) Jacques Lacan, and also quoted in Octave Mannoni (1971) Freud (translation by R. Belice), p.168.
Dear Peter, I did no such thing! and I would ask you to post this comment of mine next time you refer to the subject online. I admit that I deliberately left out the qualifier and I gave my reasons for doing so—the need for keeping captions to pictures pithy and to the point so as to capture the reader’s attention—but the word "doctoring" is needlessly strong. It gives the wrong impression: of intellectual dishonesty. And how can I be guilty of such a crime when I admit freely that I left out the qualifier for the reasons I gave? The most I am guilty of, Peter, is slipshod scholarship. (But even that I do not admit to, since I apply other standards and use other less rigid criteria.)
IF, Lasha and Acharya are one and the same, (which I think is quite possible) here is a bit on Acharya:
http://www.truthbeknown.com/credentials.html
What Are Acharya's Credentials?
(NB: The following is an autobiographical essay, not a curriculum vitae, and incorporates prose rather than serving as a straightforward recitation of my credentials.)
Over the years that I have been online, many people have wondered about my credentials, particularly since I write about controversial and contentious subjects that tend to create widespread debates. Let us first understand that the "credential argument" frequently constitutes an ad hominem attack, especially in the case of individuals who disagree with mainstream perspectives. In reality, it is not always necessary to have perfect and proper credentials to become an expert or authority in a subject, or even to understand it. One doesn't need credentials, for instance, to recognize that "Christmas" occurs during the winter solstice period, which represents a "Pagan" solar holiday. There have been many brilliant laypeople with few or no credentials who have been able to cut through the haze and bring to light numerous insights leading to monumental breakthroughs in virtually every subject over the centuries.
For example, the mysterious ancient Cretan language called "Linear B" boggled the minds of the world's best and most credentialed authorities and experts for decades. Linear B was finally decoded by an amateur linguist named Michael Ventris. While this decoding may not have led to monumental scientific breakthroughs, it was very important in the world of archaeology.
With enough time and effort, we could certainly compile a long list of discoveries and insights by people who did not possess the "proper" credentials. What were the credentials of those who have influenced and created human culture for the past many thousands of years? Did they attend Harvard or Yale? How on Earth did human civilization progress without all these people with acceptable credentials? In a word, intelligence. People have simply used their brains to figure things out, not needing to study for decades or to obtain the obligatory sheepskin first.
That having been said, we must also keep in mind that there is such a thing as specialization that does require study, although this study, of course, may be acquired outside of the confines of academia. In other words, many brilliant people have been self-taught. American President and lawyer Abraham Lincoln and lay Egyptologist Gerald Massey come to mind immediately as examples of individuals in this self-taught category.
While I myself am "self-taught" in the sense that I developed a fascination for learning certain subjects at an early age, unlike the bulk of my detractors I actually do have formal, academic credentials relevant to my field of expertise.
Early Education
Firstly, I have been interested in the Greek myths and Greek civilization since I was around three years old, when I came across comics and cartoons about Zeus and Hercules, among others. In addition to reading books on mythology, I also spent many long hours in my family's small library pouring over National Geographic magazines dating back to the 1930s, so I possessed a very broad and expansive view of the world beginning at an early age.
All the while, I attended schools in a small town known for its emphasis on academic excellence that included advanced "experimental" programs designed to educate the individual to his or her fullest and highest potential. As such, I was filtered into the advanced programs for "gifted" children with high IQs. At one point in second grade, one of these experimental programs allowed me to speed-read at a rate of some 600 words per minute. Another program had us studying the Inuit (Eskimo) culture in fourth grade. In middle school, I was given the chance to learn photography and cinematography. I shall never forget these exceptional opportunities that helped shape my world view, as they were extremely stimulating and exciting.
Furthermore, I was raised on a small farm with loads of animals, both wild and domestic, and fields and woods all around. This pastoral and idyllic childhood instilled in me a profound delight in nature, of which I became a keen observer, allowing me eventually to recognize, understand and appreciate the nature-worshipping roots of many religious concepts.
At the age of 11, I became fascinated by the work of famed paleoanthropologist Louis Leakey, with the result that I knew that I wanted to study anthropology, specifically the branch of it called archaeology. When I was 14, my father took my family to Greece, where he had been assigned to teach psychology on an American battleship. As soon as I saw the Temple of Zeus in Athens, I knew exactly what I wanted to study in college. While we were in Greece at that time, I learned enough Greek that my family turned to me to communicate with the natives.
Franklin & Marshall College
As a result of these experiences, the first day of college I already had my major in mind, as my first class was about ancient Greek art and architecture. I approached the professor after that class and asked what was his major, to which he replied that it was "Classics, Greek Civilization." And that became what I majored in, receiving a BA from Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The 17th oldest college in the United States, Franklin & Marshall (F&M) represents a combination of the college named for American Founding Father Benjamin Franklin - chartered in 1787 - and that named after Chief Justice John Marshall. F&M is considered a "potted Ivy League" school, appearing in the "highly selective" category in guides to the top universities and colleges. My qualifications for gaining entrance into F&M included being an honor roll student in high school, a National Merit Scholarship honorable mention, and a National Honor Society member.
During my sojourn at F&M, I also studied French and Spanish, as I had done in middle and high school, as well as German, Italian, Latin and ancient Greek. My skills with modern languages were good enough that, during my junior year when I traveled around Europe, I could and did conduct myself in French, Italian, Spanish, German and modern Greek, the latter of which I taught myself while studying in Greece with the Lake Forest College Program under the direction of Professor Emeritus of Religion Rev. Dr. Dan Cole. During that semester abroad, my Greek became good enough that when I answered the phone, people thought I was a Greek boy! (Greek women tend to have high-pitched voices, while I do not.) Moreover, Greek people frequently stopped me on the street and asked me in Greek for directions. In the northern Greek village of Metsovo, where people speak the Slavic language of Vlach first and Greek second, after hearing me speak Greek, one peasant woman asked me if I were a university student from Athens. When I replied that I was an American who had just recently learned the language, she was flabbergasted and insisted that I must be a Greek-American who had known the language from an early age. I further informed her that, no, I was not Greek at all.
The Greeks absolutely loved the fact that I spoke Greek, and they would get tears in their eyes when they communicated with me - some of these people had never spoken to a foreigner before, because they knew no other languages and had never met a foreigner who spoke Greek. One man from an isolated village on the island of Crete wept when he discovered I could speak Greek, as he said he could die in peace knowing that he had finally spoken to a foreigner! This man had lived through World War II, with Germans and Brits occupying his island; yet, he had never spoken to a foreigner, because none of those he'd met spoke Greek. The relief from his isolation was so powerful that it caused him to weep with joy from speaking with me.
The American School of Classical Studies at Athens
After graduating from college, I spent a year in Greece with the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, where I studied with some of the luminaries within the field of Greek archaeology, including Dr. John McK Camp, who guided First Lady Hillary Clinton around the Athenian Acropolis when she and daughter Chelsea visited Greece during the Clinton Presidency. I also excavated at the important classical site of Corinth, under the direction of Dr. Charles K. Williams. Prior to this postgraduate work, I had excavated a "paleo-Indian" tool-making camp under the direction of Dr. Ken Feder of Central Connecticut State College. During my postgraduate studies, I also served as a teacher's assistant on Crete to a group of students from Lake Forest, the program I attended in Greece during college.
In order to be accepted into the American School of Classical Studies, I had to take a written exam that covered pretty much every aspect of ancient Greek civilization and took me several hours to complete. I also needed to have recommendations from my professors, with whom I was pretty cozy because there were only two Classics majors that year. My professors at Franklin & Marshall College included Dr. Robert Barnett, Dr. Joel Farber and Dr. Ann Steiner. It was Dr. Steiner, now a provost of the college, who introduced me to the American School of Classical Studies or ASCSA.
The American School of Classical Studies at Athens is no slouch in the world of Classics and Greek civilization and archaeology. ASCSA is, in fact, one of the most respected institutes in the world in this field. Following is a quote from the ASCSA website:
The American School of Classical Studies at Athens, founded in 1881, is the principal resource in Greece for American scholars conducting advanced research on the language, literature, art, history, archaeology, and philosophy of Greece and the Greek world from pre-Hellenic times to the present. Each year the School, its programs, and its facilities welcome some 400 graduate students and scholars from over 160 affiliated North American colleges and universities.
The American School is so significant, in fact, that our matriculation party was attended by the wife of the Greek President and the Greek Minister of Culture Melina Mercouri.
It should be noted that I was not a summer associate but a regular member at ASCSA, and am now an alumna. Contrary to fallacious internet gossip, I did not have to pay to gain entrance into ASCSA. There was tuition, of course, but the entry requirements were strictly academic, as described above. The following is an excerpt from the description at the ASCSA site regarding regular membership:
The Regular Program of the American School offers an intensive introduction to and survey of the sites, monuments, history, and archaeology of Greece, from prehistoric times to the present, with a focus on sites dating from the Bronze Age through the Roman period. The program consists of three terms and runs from September to June. The fall term is chiefly devoted to a series of trips, usually four in number, of ten to twelve days' duration to sites and museums outside Attica. The sequence and itineraries of these trips may vary from year to year, but they normally include Central Greece, Northern Greece, and the Peloponnese, with special attention to Delphi, Olympia, and Corinth. Participants in the regular program--Regular Members--are required to participate in each of these trips. Trips are led by one or more members of the School staff, and each Regular Member delivers an on-site, seminar-style report on each trip.
On that same page appear the requirements for admission into ASCSA:
Regular membership is generally open to advanced graduate students, although well-prepared undergraduates who will have earned the B.A. before the start of the program may apply. Admission is granted on the basis of the School’s qualifying examinations, letters of recommendation, and other information submitted to the School’s Committee on Admission and Fellowships.
I was in fact one of only four of the relatively rare "well-prepared undergraduates" among 22 members who were accepted that year. The rest of the members were PhD candidates, and two of the other undergraduates were from Harvard and Princeton. In addition, I was the second-youngest member of ASCSA during that year. My "well-prepared" status, it should also be noted, stemmed from my education at Franklin & Marshall, during which time I was regularly on the Dean's List. (I include this detail in response to calumny disparaging my grades.) My year at ASCSA was thrilling but not easy, as we were held to the highest standards by some fairly difficult professors. The list of professors I studied under in Greece reads like the "Who's Who in Classical Greek Civilization" and includes:
* ASCSA Director Dr. Steven G. Miller, Director, Nemea Excavations
* Dr. Stella G. Miller-Collett, Associate Director, Nemea Excavations
* Dr. John McK Camp, II, Director, Agora Excavations at Athens
* Dr. Charles K. Williams, II, Director, Corinth Excavations
* Dr. Nancy Bookidis, Assistant Director, Corinth Excavations
* Dr. Frederick A. Cooper, Archaeologist and Architectural Historian, Bassae Excavations
* Dr. Oscar T. Broneer, Director, Isthmia Excavations
* Dr. Joseph W. Shaw, Director, Kommos Excavations
* William B. Dinsmoor, Jr., Archaeologist and Architectural Historian
Some years after my time with ASCSA, I returned to Greece to give a send-off to my deceased father, who was a true philhellene. All in all, I traveled to Greece four times and spent a total there of almost two years, during which time I journeyed to some 200 archaeological sites all over the country, including not only ancient temple sanctuaries but also numerous Orthodox and Byzantine Christian churches and monasteries such as the fascinating but macabre sites at Meteora. Many of these sites were very isolated and difficult to get to, including some that required us to hike up mountains and trudge through snow for hours at a time. Naturally, we spent a significant amount of time at such famous locales as Athens, Corinth, Delphi and Olympia, as well as traveling to various Greek islands and their archaeological sites.
After my year with the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, I did not pursue academia for a variety of reasons, although I certainly could have. In the first place, I did not want to become a college professor with the attendant strict curriculum and hectic schedule. I also knew instinctively from my previous experiences that, if I had pursued academia, I would have needed to rein in significantly my intellectual wanderings, which likely would have eventually prevented me from writing my controversial books. Furthermore, I had another career I wished to pursue while I was young, and I did so for several years.
Over the more than 20 years since my formal education ended, I have continued my studies of the world's cultures, including and especially mythology and religion. At a certain point, when I began stumbling upon the Christ-myth material I am now notorious for promulgating, I knew that I was in fact well qualified to write about it and to develop expertise in it. I possessed a long and intensive background in mythology and the very language of the New Testament, for one thing, as well as being quite familiar with the general milieu in which the Christian ideology arose. I had spent many months in the heart of Western civilization - Greece - and I knew to a large extent what the ancient world of the time was really like. I also knew quite a bit about Christianity not only from being born and raised a Protestant but also from spending numerous hours in Christian churches and monasteries in Greece and elsewhere throughout Europe. In fact, I traveled to numerous archaeological sites in other countries as well, including Stonehenge, Avebury and Silbury Hill in England, for example. Furthermore, following my postgraduate studies I briefly became a "born again" Christian while living in New York City, a period that found me immersing myself in the study of Christianity and the Bible, particularly the New Testament, with which I was already somewhat familiar. Shortly after that "conversion" - again, I was already born and raised a Christian - I began studying several other religions, including Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Sufism, Taoism, Jainism and Islam. These studies, naturally, led me away from Christian fundamentalism.
What all this means is that from an early age I have been single-focused and have gained expertise, including obtaining certain academic credentials, in subjects and fields that are highly relevant to the origins of Christianity, the New Testament and the gospel story. My areas of interest and expertise include not only Christian origins but also archaeology, comparative religion, mythology, astrotheology and archaeoastronomy. Throughout much of my work, which includes numerous articles online and in print, as well as a number of books unusual in their scope and breadth, I examine the connections between modern religious belief and the ancient veneration for the sun and other natural phenomena, an ideology falling under the rubric of "astrotheology."
As concerns my credentials and continuing education, I would like to consider my books Suns of God and Christ in Egypt in particular a PhD thesis in the subjects of comparative religion and astrotheology. In this regard, I sincerely hope that these important subjects become increasingly popular and taught in colleges and universities, and that others may be able to obtain relevant and appropriate credentials therein.
It is funny, and interesting, as i wrote to her (Lasha) just a month back or so on an unrelated matter. We had a brief and pleasant exchange but she was unable, or unwilling, to help with some questions I had.
How did you come to this correlation, Laura? Just a hunch?
Well, it was a combination of the style of writing and the claims about "expert status" but not willing to expose the true identity.
However, according to Peter, my guess isn't a good one. I wrote to him and suggested it and he wrote back:
I don't think that Lasha is Acharya.
Lasha is a returned Catholic; she goes to Church. Arharya denies that Jesus existed.
So, back to the drawing board on that! Perhaps some sleuthing is in order?
Meanwhile, the controversy continues:
The following are recent responses to posts on Shamireaders:
Mitch Medina (my real name) ... on “Lasha responses:”
I'm behind on Shamireaders anyway, and certainly don't have the time to read anything by "Lasha Darkmoon". But the responses caught my eye.
1) The charge that Jews invented pornography in America is preposterous. Hugh Hefner (whose "Playboy Philosophy" conquered all traditional values) is a WASP.
The late Linda Lovelace (actually Boreman) was a lapsed Catholic, beaten into "Deep Throat" by her non-Jewish pimp Chuck Traynor. The film was directed by the similarly lapsed Catholic Gerard Damiano. Every Jewish kid in America knew when I was growing up that if you wanted to get laid easily, you were supposed to look for a rebel from parochial school.
Traynor then took over the "career" of the late Marilyn Chambers, whose gorgeous Aryan-looking face was once on the Ivory Soap box. She came from a middle-class New England family -- some kind of Protestant. She actually wanted to be an actress. The Jewish Ron Jeremy (Hyatt), the world record-holder for porn "scenes", actually had the same ambition. He is now semi-retired.
Louise Madonna Ciccone, another lapsed Catholic, lived in real life and created the show business role of the -jezebel- of Babylon. Britney Spears, another WASP, then played it as a teenager until she grew up into a totally screwed-up and alcoholic young woman.
Hope Destiny Cyrus, also Gentile, Disney's corporate attempt to re-do the Spears story as the character "Hannah Montana", and get it right this time, appears to be headed in the same direction as Britney.
If there had never been any such persons as Madonna and Britney, and MTV (admittedly full of Jewish producers) to promote them, the late(?) Osama bin Laden would still be in obscurity somewhere, writing Muslim theological tracts on the restoration of the Caliphate. Sadly, the MTV building near Times Square is too low to take out with a jetliner. Not that it would do any good, anyway -- they'd just stay on the air from another location.
2) Whoever said that incest was now practical because of birth control is out of his mind. Incest "survivors" are W-A-A-A-Y over-represented in the population of schizophrenics. If you don't want to be Freudian, say instead "really crazy people". It is entirely possible that Adolf Hitler belongs in this group -- though it is impossible to prove historically what Alois Matzelberger Schicklgruber did or did not do to him.
3) God is not mentioned in the Book of Esther, either. I am fond of using this fact in Christian circles as proof that the argument from silence is a logical fallacy.
Theologically, the Song of Songs has long been read as an allegory of God's love for his people, both in Judaism and Christianity. To dismiss it as an erotic poem is way off the mark. In the practical realm, if read carefully, it puts the Divine seal of approval on inter-racial marriage and oral sex. I will leave it to others explain why sodomy proper, whether homo- or heterosexual, is not an awful and unnatural practice. Nobody likes receiving it, although after long practice, it is possible to train the end of the digestive tract not to be bothered by it all that much. For myself, I will be content to say this: You want to put your what where? Didn't your mother teach you to wash your hands?
Needless to say, it cannot be found in the Song of Solomon.
Comment (Peter M.):
The Jewish media seem to have promoted those non-Jewish rebels.
As for the Song of Solomon, but for the allegorical interpretation, it would probably have been ejected from some of the Canons. But when it's seen in relation to Sumerian/Babylonian sex-culture, its derivation is obvious.
Some Jewish writers claim that Judaism invented the 7-day week. But Dr David Neiman (a rabbi), in his talks on civilization, says that
"The Jewish Calendar is the Babylonian Calendar, which is the Sumerian Calendar".
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dncDUehNs4U
He also says that the Western world used to use the Babylonian Calendar (a lunar calendar, with extra months added every few years, to approximate the solar year), but later adopted the Egyptian solar Calendar.
The solar calendar was introduced so that the annual Nile flood could be predicted each year. Early versions had 360 days; this was later adjusted to 365, by adding five extra days.
Neiman says that the Egyptian Calendar was adopted by the Romans, then by the Western world, and finally it took over the whole world.
Sappho the Greek poet, Socrates the famous philosopher and the fascinating Aryan Culture which formed the basis of Eastern and Western civilisation have all been occupying my time in recent months but I had the chance to make a Heritage Key Video Journal entry (watch the video now) while I was recording in a London studio for a new BBC Documentary about the Aryan culture.
Going out to Siberia, at the Russian-Kazakhstan border (click to open map), to see the homeland of the Aryans was very, very stimulating and intellectually very exciting, but particularly fascinating were that many of the artefacts are covered with Swastika imagery as I explain in my Video Journal (watch it here).
I've just completed the manuscript for my upcoming book ("The Hemlock Cup: Scorates, Athens and the Search for the Good Life") about the Greek philosopher Socrates, though if you can't wait for that, you can check out my other publications such as "Helen of Troy: Goddess, Princess, -jezebel-" (buy the book) and "The Seven Ages of Britain" (buy the book). You can also listen to the BBC Radio 4 Great Lives episode about Sappho over on BBC iPlayer.
HELEN OF TROY: Goddess, Princess, -jezebel-
Bettany Hughes
(Jonathan Cape 2005)
Reviewed by: Marion Arnott
This is a lavish book, lavishly illustrated, lavishly written, and lavishly enthusiastic about its eternally fascinating subject, Helen of Troy. Hughes herself explains that it is not possible to ‘reveal’ the historical Helen (if she ever existed), but with the application of her considerable scholarship, she has succeeded in writing an absorbing history of Helen’s history – that is, a survey of the society she lived in, and later, of her ever changing reputation and representation. Like Joan of Arc, she seems destined to be the focus of every age’s preoccupation with what it means to be a woman (as defined by men).
In her own era, and for centuries after, there were Helenic cults and Helenic shrines in Sparta and all over the Mediterranean. Hughes delves into the past to show something of the Spartan way of life as lived by women then. Bold eyed and beautiful, athletic and free, Spartan women were unashamed of their bodies or their sexuality. They seem also to have been important members of their community to judge by the number of statues and paintings showing them in charge of priestly rites and perhaps of the storing and distribution of crops, an important responsibility in an agricultural society. These functions can be traced back to 25,000 years BC: women were a life force, associated with sex and fecundity, with giving life and taking it, responsible for keeping the Earth and the land fecund and productive. Helen herself is often represented holding a pomegranate and a wheat ear, symbolic of the sacred feminine.
In Homer, Helen is the most beautiful woman in the world, the world’s desire. As a child, she was abducted by Theseus and raped, then freed by her brothers. Later she married the Mycenean Menelaus. Later still she went to Troy with Paris. Paris dead, she took up with one of his brothers. But no matter how colourful her life had been, she was always desired because after everything, Menelaus took her back.
It is unclear whether she was abducted by Paris, or whether she went willingly – it all depends on who is telling the story, for there are many accounts of the events at Troy. What varies down through the ages is the amount of blame to be apportioned Helen. In Sparta, she is the epitome of womanhood – no Spartan bride married without an offering to divinely erotic Helen. Egyptian writings portray her as the placid perfect wife (some sources even claim she never went to Troy but settled in Egypt). Classical Athenians condemn her as the worst kind of woman and the cause of the deaths of all the heroes, a judgement hardly to be wondered at in that misogynistic society where women were to be chaste, modest, and above all unseen and not heard.
The harshest condemnations come form the Christian era. That fiercely misogynistic culture which blamed Eve for all the troubles of the world was hardly likely to spare pagan Helen. Helen’s sexuality was troubling for a culture which provided the Virgin Mary as a template for women. It was Helen’s lusts which spawned the Trojan war and the destruction of men (not Paris’s or Menelaus’s), just as it was Eve’s disobedience and not Adam’s which brought about the expulsion from Eden. And yet they cannot leave Helen alone. Hughes points out that in their condemnations of Helen, an underlying yearning can be traced in their lingering descriptions of her appearance and their harping on about her lusts. She’s not called the world’s desire for nothing.
One of the most enjoyable features of this book is the juxtaposition of all these judgements and opinions with historical fact. A brief foray into the writings of the Hittite empire (of which Troy was a client city) show an edgy international situation between power hungry Mycenaeans and Hittites holding on to what they had, a scenario not unfamiliar today. Perhaps Helen was a necessary excuse, a Bronze age Weapon of Mass Destruction. Hughes recalls meeting a New York taxi driver who found a woman to blame for Iraq. His contemporary Helen is Ms Lewinski, whose fault it is that Clinton fell and allowed Bush into power. QED. It’s a funny anecdote, and not a million miles away from judgements of Helen, the Spartan Queen.
Also enjoyable is the assembling of art and statuary and literature from many eras and cultures, showing the changing face of Helen of Troy. From the bold eyed girls of Sparta and Minoan culture, to the fiendish Athenian theatrical face mask, to Helen condemned to burn in hell, to the milkwater Victorian Helen peering vainly into a mirror, Helen always reflects male judgements and fantasies. Hughes sees her faceless in the semi dark of her palace, moving silently, glistening with olive oil scented with roses, her earrings jangling, unknown and unknowable, but endlessly fascinating. I like that version too.
(7) Cyrus Gordon likens Helen's abduction to Sita's in Ramayana AND Sarah in Genesis
Cyrus H. Gordon, Before the Bible: the Common Background of Greek and Hebrew Civilisations, Collins, London 1962.
{p. 23} Sumerian civilisation got started in Sumer or elsewhere. It is incredible that in a land devoid of stone or metal, the Sumerians could have risen from barbarism to a remarkably developed culture excelling in the arts of the lapidary and smith. There is every reason to believe that the Sumerians came to "Sumer" with a considerable degree of civilisation, and with connections already established in areas producing the needed raw materials. Some of the mines may have actually been worked by Sumerians; but in any case Sumerians must have been stationed there in administrative capacity. In late Sumerian times, as we shall note, Ur of Sumer had trading colonies far to the north.
Pottery found at early Greek sites such as Lerna, Dimini and Sesklo often has unmistakable affinities with Mesopotamian pottery from as far back as the Tell Halaf Period, around 3500 B.C. We shall presently explain the character of the human agents that account for the transmission of ceramic production, but meanwhile we may observe that ceramic affinities between Mesopotamia and the Aegean are proof of contact between the two areas long before the dawn of writing; over two thousand years before the Amarna synthesis out of which the early Greek and Hebrew traditions sprang. At no historic time were the Near East and the Aegean out of touch with each other, though in some periods, such as the Amarna and Hellenistic Ages, the contacts were especially strong. Classical scholars know about the orientalising periods in Greek art; and Near Eastern specialists are familiar with Minoan, Mycenaean, Hellenistic and still later Greek influence in Western Asia and Egypt. The interconnections antedate not only the earliest Hebrew and Greek writings, but also the earliest texts of Sumer and Egypt.
The most familiar and swiftest form of ethnic impact is military invasion and conquest. The first Semitic empire,
{p. 24} namely the Akkad Dynasty in Mesopotamia (ca. 235O-2150 B.C.), could boast of conquests up to, and even beyond, the shores of the Mediterranean. Seal cylinders of the Akkad Dynasty have been found on the island of Cyprus, making it quite likely that Sargon, who founded the Dynasty, reached Cyprus and brought it under his sway. Other Mesopotamian monarchs whose operations reached the Mediterranean in early times, include Naram-Sin of the Akkad Dynasty, Sargon the First of Assyria, and Naram-Sin of Eshnunna. Quite often, great movements connected with these and other sovereigns are documented all too vaguely; but the testimony of written records and archaeological objects leaves no doubt as to their historicity. Often enough the texts in question are not contemporary with the events. For example, Sargon of Akkad's conquest of Asia Minor has given rise to an epic called "King of Battle". In the Amarna Age, this epic was so popular that it was studied and copied by cuneiform scribes as far off as Egypt. The popularity of this composition in the outposts of Babylonian influence during the Amarna Age may be due to the fact that the scribes, and more especially the Babylonian traders for whom they worked, sometimes needed the protection of the Babylonian king. Accordingly, the tradition that Sargon, in response to the appeal of his merchants in Asia Minor, victoriously reasserted his power there, was long cherished by Mesopotamia's sons, trading far away for their country. ...
{p. 25} The influx of Indo-European immigrants into the Near East during the second millennium B.C. revolutionised the art of war. The newcomers introduced the horse-drawn war-chariot, which gave a swift striking power hitherto unknown in the Near East.
{p. 26} The elite charioteer officers, who bear the Indo-European name of maryannu, soon became a new aristocracy throughout the entire area, including Egypt. With them appears also a new type of royal epic, which we may call the Indo-European War Epic. Embedded in it is a motif that has become commonplace in world literature: the Helen of Troy theme, whereby a hero loses his destined bride and must wage a war to win her back. Greek and Indic epic illustrate this theme {The Indian one is the Ramayana}, and it is from the Iliad that it has become popular in the modern West. However, it is completely absent from the romantic literatures of early Mesopotamia and Egypt, and it appears in the Semitic World only in the wake of the Indo-Europeans with their maryannu aristocracy. The Helen of Troy theme first appears at Ugarit of the Amarna Age, in a community where the Indo-European elements are present, including a firmly entrenched organisation of maryannu. As we shall note later, the theme permeates the early traditions of Israel, particularly the saga of Abraham. ...
{p. 285} Once we recognise the factor of royal epic in Genesis, we see that the Helen-of-Troy motif permeates the Patriarchal Narratives. We do not refer only to the abductions that wrested Sarah and nearly wrested Rebecca from their aristocratic husbands. The abduction and seduction of Dinah is a related theme in the Narratives, involving also a menis of her brothers Simeon and Levi that results in bloody vengeance. Neither Sarah nor Dinah is ever condemned. Like Helen and Hurrai, Sarah and Dinah are heroines according to the standards of royal epic. Like Helen, Sarah is wondrously fiir and ageless. Twenty years after Helen left her husband and child, she still retained the charms of youth. Sarah outdid her; for even after Sarah had passed her ninetieth birthday (Genesis 17: 17), kings could not resist her beauty (Genesis 20: 2 ff.).
{p. 139} The Minoan tradition of city planning did not reckon with city walls. Knossos, Phaistos, Mallia and the other Minoan towns are unwalled. Now it might be argued that islanders relied on the sea for protection, but I think this approach is unrealistic. Crete itself was fragmentised into various political entities that might be mutually hostile in various sectors at various times. Without concerning ourselves with origins, we know that Minoan cities were unwalled. It is human to persist in tradition long after the tradition has become obsolete. For example, Spartan institutions were close to those of Crete, and nowhere is this more striking than in the absence of a wall around Sparta. The Greek mainland consisted of city states hostile to, and often warring with each other. Yet Sparta continued to go on without a wall. Scholars have generally concluded that the absence of walls around the Minoan cities indicates a peaceful way of life. I question this. The Spartans were so warlike that they counted on their men to defend the city; their soldiers were their "wall."
Sex and the Jews: Letter to a Jewish Correspondent
August 29, 2010 http://www.theoccidentalobserver.net/authors/Darkmoon-Jews&Sex.html
I read this letter and one of the things that caught my attention was this
A few months ago, I received an angry email from a young woman called Victoria. Having ticked me off severely for various things I’d said in an article — and after a further exchange of emotional letters — Victoria, who was half Jewish, told me she would no longer be writing to me. So I wrote her a valedictory note in which I took my leave of her with the friendly words, “Farewell, my dear Jewess!
The recipient objected to being called a Jewess.
Victoria had taken offense at the term 'Jewess'. “Referring to me as a ‘Jewess’ was very offensive and condescending,” she scolded, “because I am only part Jewish.…But I guess in your racist mind, the fact that I am even part Jewish is enough of a reason for you to deny my humanity completely. Continuing any further correspondence with you is pointless.”
After this LD writes a long letter to Victoria where she says
You may not be aware of this, Victoria, but it’s a sad fact that because of severe economic hardships endured by Jews in past centuries, many Jewish girls were forced into a life of prostitution. In all the great European cities, a certain type of prostitute was always to be found: exotic and semi-Asiatic in appearance. She was Jewish, and she was very much in demand. The word “Jewess” therefore entered the language as a loose synonym for “Jewish prostitute”.
............
You say you are "half Jewish", Victoria, and that your family originally came from the Ukraine. Did you know that Odessa, the fourth largest city of Ukraine, was once a magnet for prostitute lovers from all over Europe? The city was famous for its sumptuous brothels, all supervised by Jewish madams who had formerly been prostitutes themselves. As for the girls working in those brothels, they were predominantly Jewish. Valued for their seductive charms, these joygirls were referred to simply as "Jewesses."
So LD first calls Victoria a "jewess" as a "friendly gesture" and then goes on to tell her the context in which the word is used. The original gesture then does not seem very friendly - it was more of a veiled insult which was rubbed in thoroughly after the recipient reacted.
When some of LD's views are challenged like when Peter Myers did in the quoted first post, I found LD's response telling.
If you cannot concede a point when you are in the wrong, Peter, you are frankly not worth arguing with. The mark of a good scholar and a man of true intellect is to be ruled by logic. You are not. You stick to your guns as a matter of pride, more concerned with foisting your erroneous opinions on others than in giving ground gracefully when you are wrong. A seminarian? Well, they certainly didn't teach you any humility there! Less ego, dear Peter, would make you a more credible pundit. I never did see eye to eye with earnest ectomorphs...and you appear to be one of them. Listen, the world is full of variety! We don't all have to be intellectual replicas of Peter Myers—we don't have to be PM clones!
Get a life, Peter, and allow others to espouse their views without bombarding them with contant nitpicking letters talling them to shape up and join the Peter Myers Admiration Society!
Kind regards from a wellwisher,
Lasha D
PS. It's possible I've misconstrued your postion. In which case, heartfelt apologies. You have certainly misconstruded my position. Incidentally, my articles on sex have been translated into other languages and the comments I have received from others have without exception been full of extravagant praise. Not ONE negative letter except for yours. I have repeatedly been told by my appreciative readers that I have put into moving and lucid language the thoughts and feelings they have had themselves. Whose opinions do you think I value most: the positive opinions of 99.0% of my public or the pettifoging objections and academic nitpickings of a lone wolf ectomorph?
PPS. I bet you wouldn't have the courage to publish this letter on your website. If you were to do so, I would possibly revise my opinion of you as an ivory tower ectomorph who sees life through the smudgy-lensed spectacles of books! Once again, dear Peter, get a life! Live and let live! Allow diversity of opinions! More tolerance toward the opinions of others and less intellectual fascism!!!
So unless one agrees with her, one is in trouble. It is perhaps too early to form a hypothesis but the indications are there for an underlying psychological malady of the type discussed by Dr Lobaczewski.
The information content on her articles is presented in a way that would shock the reader - which is not necessarily a bad thing by itself. But one of her concluding statements makes me wonder as to what (if any) underlying agenda she may serve with this information
Unless a miracle soon occurs and some charismatic leader comes to our rescue, an unimaginably bleak future surely awaits us: a future in which the only consolations left to us will be mindless entertainment, drugs, alcohol, sexual intoxication and suicide.
Note that the "technical contact" is "SharronRose" of "sacredmysteries" - that is Jay Weidner's partner.
Are we seeing, in the Weidner blogs AND the Darkmoon blogs/posts, the tip of the iceberg of a huge psy-op that comes from different directions, goes in different directions, and whose purpose is simply to create confusion?
Also that blog's ip seems to point to Scottsdale, Arizona but I think it's just a general domain which owns a lot of sites. Don't know if that adds anything to the pot.
Wikipedia has this to say about Sharon Rose:
Rose of Sharon came up.
Chavatzelet HaSharon (Hebrew חבצלת השרון) is an onion-like flower bulb. (Hebrew חבצלת ḥăḇaṣṣeleṯ) is a flower of uncertain identity translated as the Rose of Sharon in English language translations of the Bible. Etymologists have inconclusively linked the Biblical חבצלת to the words בצל beṣel, meaning 'bulb', and חמץ ḥāmaṣ, which is understood as meaning either 'pungent' or 'splendid' (The Analytical Hebrew and Chaldee Lexicon). The name Rose of Sharon first appears in English in 1611 in the King James Version of the Bible. According to an annotation of Song of Solomon 2:1 by the translation committee of the New Revised Standard Version, "Rose of Sharon" is a mistranslation of a more general Hebrew word for "crocus".
The most accepted interpretation for the Biblical reference is the Pancratium maritimum, which blooms in the late summer just above the high-tide mark. The Hebrew name for this flower is חבצלת or חבצלת החוף (coastal ḥăḇaṣṣeleṯ). It is commonly assumed by most people in Israel that, the Sharon plain being on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea, the Biblical passage refers to this flower.
Varying scholars have suggested that the biblical "Rose of Sharon" may be one of the following plants:
* A "kind of crocus" ("Sharon", Harper's Bible Dictionary) or a "crocus that grows in the coastal plain of Sharon" (New Oxford Annotated Bible);
* Tulipa montana, "a bright red tulip-like flower ... today prolific in the hills of Sharon" ("rose", Harper's Bible Dictionary);
* Tulipa agenensis, the Sharon tulip, a species of tulip suggested by a few botanists; or
* Lilium candidum, more commonly known as the Madonna lily, a species of lily suggested by some botanists, though likely in reference to the "lily of the valleys" mentioned in the second part of Song of Solomon 2.1.
Both seem to be names of flowers - possibly lilies depending upon the interpretation quoted above:
Too far fetched?
As for the name Lasha:
Lasha Lasha
Lasha is mentioned as a boundary of Canaan, the son of Ham, the son of Noah.
The etymology of the name Lasha is unknown so we're left to guess. Jones traces this name back to an unused Hebrew root, and a parallel Arabic word meaning to pierce, and reads Fissure. NOBSE reads Bursting Forth. BDB makes no attempt.
Perhaps this name is a construct: le + sha. The particle le (le 1063), means to or towards. sha may come from shaa (sha'a 2429), look at, regard, or shaa (sha'a' 2435), blinded, or shaa (sha'a' 2436) sport, take delight in.
Whatever the original name giver meant to say with Lasha can no longer be determined, but it looks like To Be Viewed, To Be Blinded, or To Be Played With.
If Zionism is at the heart of much of what's being played out, it then strikes me as no coincidence that some of the names created would have their roots in Jewish culture. I've thought for a while now that it would be Hebrew that would be a most valuable language to have under one's belt. Most people don't know it and so much is written in the language that would be hidden to those not of "true" Jewish heritage (meaning those not born into it). It seems to be the only language (that I'm aware of) that is distinctly tied to a religion and think there would be much to be found there (whether in books or on the internet) if one had this skill.
edit: correction - the blog points to Arizona not Florida as I originally posted.
So LD first calls Victoria a "jewess" as a "friendly gesture" and then goes on to tell her the context in which the word is used. The original gesture then does not seem very friendly - it was more of a veiled insult which was rubbed in thoroughly after the recipient reacted.
I want to second this. I had the same reaction when I read this part and thought that the context in which the information was presented (as a veiled personal insult to the reader) was nasty.
I'll third the observation.
It seems she prefers cheerleaders and cannot stand even a hint of criticism, constructive or not. Where have we seen that before? :rolleyes: Does anyone else notice she likes to be nasty and insulting and then leave a PS that says she could be mistaken, and if so...sorry....? Jeez.
