Container Gardening

I have had good results with 5gal buckets with holes in the bottom. Also grow boxes (water from the bottom) are amazing, esp for Tomatoes.

Makes you plants mobile, easy to protect.

I really great book is : McGee & Stuckey's Bountiful Container: will give you info on root depth (very important) and what is practical for growing in containers. I got it at the library (inter-library loan)

Container Gardening is very interesting.

In Berlin there is an amazing project with container gardening directly in the city, cause of the loaded ground !

I find it very fascinating what people can accomplish if they work together.

Gardening is one of my favorite past times.  Container gardening is fun too and a lot easier on the back if you grow your own Herbs to use fresh or dry.

Here's a link to making your own Earthboxes in various shapes using pails and large totes.
