Yeah, that's what I was thinking when I saw the list above. Also, as I currently understand it, the word "natural" isn't the same as pastured. This basically means that the animal wasn't on the diet that was optimal for it.

This treatment of soy is discussed in Primal Body, Primal Mind, and mentioned in The Vegetarian Myth, which are on the recommended reading list. Hexane is also mentioned in Deep Nutrition. Amazing, isn't it?

Yup. Hexane is really nasty! But wheat/gluten, vegetable oils, and soy are just as nasty. As mentioned, many vegetable oils are processed with hexane, as well. But the oils themselves are VERY unhealthy, regardless of hexane processing. And soy wasn't even meant for human consumption originally, but as a method of crop rotation. Also soy is a xenoestrogen -- it mimics estrogen in your body. You DON'T want to be messing with your hormones with this crap, especially with all the other estrogen like substances in plastics and packaged foods and body products, etc. that most have been exposed to for years.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere but I made the mistake of not looking at my tea blend. On the ingredients list was Barley of all things. Some people are saying that the gluten does not transfer from steeping but I am not taking any chances with it. I'm so paranoid about contaminating myself with gluten and here I didn't even think to look at tea of all things. So, any blends that are advertised as coffee alternatives or 'dark' yerbas, make sure you read the labels because I've seen some that have wheat as well to give it a bolder flavor.
