I did read your brilliant analysis. It is to the same effect that I mentioned 'resigning', which is about the same as collaborating (not thinking that anybody here would talk about resigning in any way).

 While I was reading most ( scanned some ) of the report, other than the confusion created by contradictory statements,  I kept having this thought;

speaking on what Miviludes clearly is about, judging from their report, I recently heard about two new MIVILUDES' campaigns:

The first one is taking place now and approved by the Ministry of Education, going from schools to day-care centers (0-3 y.o). They've apparently spent 1.8 million euros in it. Can you imagine what this might do to small children? "Careful! If your mom meditates, takes vitamins, or closes the shutters, she has been taken over by EEVVILLL people! You could lose her! Come and tell us good people about it!". (Btw, the comment about the shutters appears later in the document, so you'll probably have the pleasure to read that later on this thread...)

The second one, I got from a friend of ours, who is a doctor. She received the regular newsletter from the "Conseil de l'ordre des médecins" (Medical body), with a special article dedicated to health "cults" and the MIVILUDES's "wonderful" mission. In one part, a doctor advises his colleagues, in cases where a patient refuses to accept all official/conventional treatments to:

a) Try to convince them of the risks involved (but they conveniently ignore the real risks from those official therapies, of course).
b) If the patient still refuses, report them to the authorities. (Scratch the doctor-patient confidentiality!!)

This is being sent to all doctors in France. All schools. And we know all magistrates, attorneys and members of the press get their doses of MIVILUDES' brainwashing too, and have been for the past 30 years. So, who's left? Not very many people, who still get bombarded with messages of evil cults in the press and the TV.

I have no words other than "utterly depressing" and "psychopathic" to describe it...

My god... Closed shutters... This means every single person who lives on the 1st floor of a French building in a city is a cultist. Now that I think about it, since every window of every home in France has shutters, and since all of them that I saw regularly in Toulouse and now Clermont-Ferrand were closed most of the time, I was and am now literally surrounded by cultists.

Thankfully, I live on the 5th floor of my building and am furthermore too lazy to EVER close mine. I must not be a cultist. I was starting to worry because I took some vitamin C yesterday and my TV has been off a long time.

If following a diet in order to improve health is seen as ''cultish'', then the following research abstract (2006) by the very French Academy of Medicine sounds pretty cultish to me:

Effects of nutrients (in food) on the structure and function of the nervous system: update on dietary requirements for brain. Part 2 : macronutrients.

Among polyunsaturated omega-3 fatty acids, ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) provided the first coherent multidisciplinary experimental demonstration of the effect of diet (one of its major macronutrient) on the structure, the biochemistry, the physiology and thus the function of the brain.

In fact, DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is one for the major building structures of membrane phospholipids of brain and absolute necessary of neuronal function. It was first demonstrated that the differentiation and functioning of cultured brain cells requires not only ALA, but also the very long polyunsaturated omega-3 (DHA) and omega-6 carbon chains. Then, it was found that ALA acid deficiency alters the course of brain development, perturbs the composition of brain cell membranes, neurones, oligodendrocytes and astrocytes, as well as sub cellular particles such as myelin, nerve endings (synaptosomes) and mitochondria.

These alterations induce physicochemical modifications in membranes, lead to biochemical and physiological perturbations, and results in neurosensory and behavioural upset. Consequently, the nature of polyunsaturated fatty acids (in particular omega-3, ALA and DHA) present in formula milks for infants (premature and term) conditions the visual, neurological and cerebral abilities, including intellectual.

Dietary omega-3 fatty acids are involved in the prevention of some aspects of ischemic cardiovascular disease (including at the level of cerebral vascularization), and in some neuropsychiatric disorders, particularly depression, as well as in dementia, including Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia.

The implication of omega-3 fatty acids in major depression and bipolar disorder (manic-depressive illness) is under evaluation. Their dietary deficiency (and altered hepatic metabolism) can prevent the renewal of membranes and consequently accelerate cerebral ageing; nonetheless, the respective roles of the vascular component on one hand and the cerebral parenchyma itself on the other have not yet been clearly elucidated. Low fat diet may have adverse effects on mood.

The nature of the amino acid composition of dietary proteins contributes to cerebral function; taking into account that tryptophan plays a special role. In fact, some indispensable amino acids present in dietary proteins participate to elaborate neurotransmitters (and neuromodulators). The regulation of glycaemia (thanks to the ingestion of food with a low glycaemic index ensuring a low insulin level) improves the quality and duration of intellectual performance, if only because at rest the brain consumes more than 50% of dietary carbohydrates, approximately 80% of which are used only for energy purpose. In infants, adults and aged, as well as in diabetes, poorer glycaemic control is associated with lower performances, for instance on tests of memory. At all ages, and more specifically in aged people, some cognitive functions appear sensitive to short term variations in glucose availability. The presence of dietary fibbers is associated with higher alertness ratings and ensures less perceived stress.

Although an increasing number of genetic factors that may affect the risk of neurodegenerative disorders are being identified, number of findings show that dietary factors play major roles in determining whether the brain age successfully of experiences neurodegenerative disorders. Effects of micronutrients have been examined in the accompanying paper.

So it's pretty obvious that diet influences behavior, brain development and health. And now it has become a bad thing if people decide to make dietary changes based on scientific evidence in order to improve their health and well-being? Does a French citizen become a cult member if she chooses to take Omega 3 supplements in order to treat her depression, or will she be pushed into taking antidepressants instead, and join the others in the most depressed nation?

It should be clear that nothing can surprise us anymore coming from MIVILUDES, but I saw this yesterday and, well, it's just so insane that I have to share it.

First, they have just released an online form where people can report anyone they want in a matter of a few minutes. Here's the screen shot:



There is a mention at the end that tells people the information provided is susceptible of being shown to the authorities.

Notice their scrolling list, and the choice for an "international" cult. Does that sound familiar?

Second, here's a translation of their most recent definition of a "dérive sectaire" ("sectarian drift", more scary sounding that "cult"):

It concerns the corruption/deviation of freedom of thought, of opinion or religion, endangering the public order, the different laws or rules, fundamental rights, security and personal integrity. It is characterized by the setting up -whether it is done by an organized group or a single individual, no matter its nature or its activity- of pressure or techniques which goal consists on creating, maintaining or exploiting  within a person a state of psychological or physical dependency, removing part of his or her free will, with damaging consequences for this person, her environment or society.

This is one of the best examples I've even seen of psychopaths blaming others unfairly for what THEY do. It's sick. Do you see the implications in this definition? Absolutely anyone could be labeled as a cult!

The word "cult" has no legal definition in France, but they still have the right to have the police investigate and harass innocent people based on a simple form and one click from anybody. Given that judges have also been brainwashed, there isn't much chance for anybody to see justice any day soon...

When psychos start getting away with this kind of thing, it means, IMO, that the population in a country is too far gone and there is very little chance of learning anything, except after extremely hard and long suffering, maybe...

Actually, yesterday the same idea crossed our minds as well. Some of us thought about filling in the forms in a serious tone all throughout, only to "reveal THE name of the Evil cult" at the end: MIVILUDES, the Church, Monsanto, Fenech, a dog, etc. The problem is that since it's them reading the reports, the only thing we would accomplish would be to make them waste a few hours of their time. But maybe there is something else that could be done to expose this insanity.

The Nazis viewed this as one of their best posters. It, too, is by Mjölnir. The caption translates: “National Socialism: The Organized Will of the Nation.” Goebbels claimed that Mjölnir perfected the art of drawing the Nazi Storm Trooper.

With just a little modification... like cross out the swastika, write "MIVILUDES" over it and change the text to French!
