Obsessive compulsive doodle disorder

(1/4) > >>

Wunjo:
Hello,
Just figured I'd share a little "me" with the Forum. I get the itch to doodle every once and while and  each time I swear it is the "last one". Yeah, PC Load Letter, all the way. :) Thanks Everyone!

transientP:
this is beautiful !

i wouldn't call it "doodling" at all.
reminds me a bit of Kandinsky but more organised.

Away With The Fairys:
Nice doodling dood :)

Made me think about  how they would look printed onto some kind of film and placed on glass windows and such.

Nice.

bngenoh:

That would be awesome Away With The Fairys, i would stare into it while smoking, pondering, and reading.

Wunjo:
Thank You!
I've wondered about printing them on 3'x4' scale on plastic and having them back lit, never really happened though. As far as being a "doodle" goes they are done in pen and ink in my journal. Every so often I have an urge to create one. I don't really consider them art, mainly because they were just test pieces for a movie I once had in my head, color schemes and patterns, and they eventually just evolved due to the perfectionist "I" who pops up. There really isn't a point to them any more, mainly just a vestigial spark of what creativity used to be there. Months later I can look at them and appreciate them, but during the months it takes to create them, I can't say I'm entirely appreciative of the process. In some ways its an interesting process because it gives me a chance to examine my fears of imperfection, sitting there staring for hours planning patterns and colors and fretting about balance of chaos juxtaposing order. I can hear the voice in my head saying "stop it", "yeah but", funny really. I also believe in obeying the Muse when she comes a knocking. As long as they keep coming I will keep drawing.
