I guess it depends on you default stance.  My default stance is that a cigar is a cigar until proven otherwise.  All evidence dictated it was a time to wave, as everyone else was doing.  Regarding people who are not normal (not quite sure where that came in, but I'll play along), even abnormal people try to conform, to fit in. One would really need to see a pattern of specific aberrant actions before one could make any predictions as to their behaviour. Otherwise, it makes sense to expect standard behaviour.

When one's default expectation is for something other than standard, it often indicates a form of program and worthy of examination.  Perhaps it is a defense mechanism to prevent getting disappointed or even wounded.

This whole subthread on waving is itself bread and circuses. Herr Nimrod, you are singing in tune with GodlikeProductions, AboveTopSecret, et al. Do you not see?

I meant that if we could positively identify him as "normal", then yes, it would be extremely unlikely to be anything else than a somewhat careless wave.

But say on the other hand you knew for sure this guy was a psychopath or under some form of mind control, would you then still assume his wave to be accidental/coincidence?

Generally I'd agree it would be wrong to assume a random person would be anything other than "normal", but in a huge, scripted event like this? In the VIP section with royals? I don't know, but I'd expect the likelihood of something else going on to increase, perhaps significantly.

Based on the traits of "elite persons" and the horrible, distorted lies constantly being perpetuated by the media "I believe" something else was going on here. But as I came to see, I can't even know to which degree that would be the case, so no definite conclusions should be made. It's basically just an "educated" hunch. And either way it's just a small event in one of many big shows, so it's not worth spending much energy on. Even if my belief was proven right it'd still just mean that the perps were up to their usual tricks. Ie. nothing new.

This whole thread is bread and circuses. Since it was already here, and I watched the ceremony, I wanted to share my observations. Didn't think people would take it so seriously.

When people did, I thought I'd at least explain my thought process, as that might be of some value to someone.

If it passed through your mind that the guy was giving a Nazi salute it could have been written as: "I was watching this and it could have been interpreted by some that he was trying to slide in a Nazi salute there but since we don't know enough about the guy or his history, hard to say."   That would have been as accurate an observation as you could have made without having a lot more data.

Instead, you began your post with:

Quote
I was expecting a full blown ritual, laden with symbolism, and boy was I not disappointed!

And then presented a still photo of the guy who was waving with his arm frozen at full forward extension with no explanation that this was a wave and not a salute.

I mean, so nice of you to tell us what we were supposed to be seeing...

He who learns must suffer
And even in our sleep pain that cannot forget
Falls drop by drop upon the heart,
And in our own despair, against our will,
Comes wisdom to us by the awful grace of God.

Are you suggesting I knew it was a wave and tried to deceive you?

If not I think it's more than explained why I wrote what I did. And I get your point, but I think a television production like this restacks the cards a little bit. This kind of subliminal messaging is exactly what I expect from that front.

I might very well be wrong, but I don't think it's either outrageous, preemptive or dishonest to make that interpretation.

Herr Nimrod, do you have a spiritual quest?

Yes.

I think the point is that, not only did you have filters on that let to assumptions, you then provided your lens for everyone to view through.  You primed the pump, so to speak, transferring your filters to others.

Can you see how your expectation of seeing ritual and symbolism disabled your objectivity?  And, if so, then can you see how you passed your filter along to others, to lead them to see what you were seeing?

If you are genuinely here to work on yourself like everyone else on the forum, you will make attempts to see yourself as others see you, warts and all.  You will try to see where dysfunctional aspects of your mind try to rationalize their behaviour out of self preservation.  You will endeavour to find the source of these dysfunctions to ultimately become free of them.  This, of course, requires letting go of your ego, dropping your defenses and allowing painful realizations about how you, like everyone else, lie to yourself.  It takes a lot of insight and feedback, not to mention blood, sweat and tears, if we are to live a more truthful existence.

First off, sincere apologies for providing a link that was unviewable by the forum. I had no idea a straightforward link to the BBC site would not be viewable outside the UK. The link was simply to the BBC coverage of the opening ceremony, uncut, unadorned, and with commentary (seemingly necessary to avoid some of the crazier misunderstandings and subsequent yards of spilt ink). Unfortunately the footage does not seem to be elsewhere, such as Youtube. I'm disappointed, because seeing the ceremony itself is the simplest rebuttal to the idea this event was laced with dark 'Illuminati' symbolism.  It is painful that the event has given rise to memes such as the 'Nazi salute'.

As my accompanying comments referred to an unviewable link they caused understandable puzzlement. Reprehensible of me not to check back sooner and straighten this out.

I've searched for alternatives to the 'missing link', and only found scraps. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tm7NWsxRRc provides the run-in to the moment when the sadly unviewable link would otherwise start.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCskBGHk7N0 is the sound track to the opening section that follows shortly afterward. Gives an idea of the excitement and uplift the event aspired to. (The photo montage of stills doesn't really begin to do justice - and I see all sorts of misinterpretations hovering over the horizon.)

Still, I guess part of the education here is if you've got those magic conspiracy-tinted spectacles on you'll never be disappointed at what you can see, and the rest of us better believe it:

Quote
This act was frighteningly sinister. A dark, brown atmosphere. A huge sun in the middle ascending while people coming from the dust celebrates it. Heartbeat music, church bells. A woman singing a song about death and the Lord.

I heartily wish I could provide the dynamic contemporary dance visuals to this 'frighteningly sinister act'. (In reality, about the 7/7 event, bereavement, and the pain of beloved people passing over.)  But here is the music herrnimrod is referring to, Abide With Me sung by Emeli Sande, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7QlefxjbA9U.

Emotionally, rationally, any way you want to cut it, is this likely to be music to a frighteningly sinister act? If yes, fast forward to a discussion about Nazi salutes.

So all the people who predicted an invasion during the final ceremony now they are telling that this invasion had not happened because THEY talked about it. That makes me laugh. :lol2:

Did anyone see the slight esoteric symbolism in the closing ceremony?
There was the pyramid (with everyone lying down in-front of it) as well as what looked like the Ray of Creation at the opposite end of the stage. It was the flame holder...thing.

I didn't see much of the olympics as a matter of fact.

For me the thought of constantly training full-time on a particular discipline in order to be the best in the world is absolutely grotesque. But I'm talking for myself here.

As far as symbolism is concerned, what you said reminded me of the all-seeing eye on top of the pyramid and perhaps slaves being hypnotized by it (flame). Just my initial thought.

Having a picture or media would help.

Peace.
