But I ask myself, is Madame the President of Argentina  doing this for the benefit of the people of Argentina or because she has family that have parts int he oil company that can take the rest of Repsol? Or maybe because USA helps her to do that? I really don't understand this subject. Is Madame the President a socialist? I think she is not. But maybe... I am wrong. It is true, and not long ago I read or listen that this idea of "invading" the Patagonia is still in their minds.

I think Madame la Présidente needs to play "populism" because her politics, lately, did not give her many points. She was very criticized when the train accident. We know that populism is a trick, for politicians.

YPF was a national concern at it's inception. The infamous Menem started a privatization steamroller when in power. YPF was privatized - a strategic resource- following the Chicago Boys economic philosophy. Bad for Argentina. Now it is going back to where it never had have left, though I concede that many pockets will be well lines as a result of the transaction. And yes, the involved are -in great proportion- the moneychangers we all know very well.
Poor mistreated and loathed Argentine citizenry. My heart goes to them.
IMHO, strategic resources such as communications, water, sewage, electricity, healthcare, roads, defense and the like (especially the issuance of money and control of the Money Reserve) should always remain property of the citizenry, as in "The Nation".

Look, for example, at the fact that Israel has signed a special treaty within Mercosur. As far as I know, it was the Argentinian government who encouraged this.

Another thing is that, even though President Menem destroyed the economy by privatizing companies by YPF, and created a huge debt with the IMF, the more recent governments have reproached Chavez the fact that he tried to help, by paying a large part of the debt (sure, with interests, and all, but he got Argentina partially off the grip of the evil IMF!). So, this could be a strategy to get rid of Chavez indirectly, and to give more power back to the US (and Israel) on South America. I'm just speculating here, but I wouldn't be surprised if something like this was the real motivation. I mean, come on, YPF, Repsol, all oil companies. And we know how interested in them are the pathocrats. With the Venezuelan government having control over all oil in South America, they're probably trying to get some control back. And Cristina probably loves it!

After reading comment on Fidel Castro's interview about current situation in Latin America and unpleasant "mistreatment" of Mr Black-Bush at summit America - were he was, supposedly, ignored by representatives of other nations I came on idea what could be behind "heroic" nationalization issue (yes, yes it is "s" instead "z"  sorry everybody): Since Zionist recognized new trend in South and Central America and which is absolutely unacceptable - revolutionary (not rebellious ) orientated - they are trying to impose their puppet (Christina Fernandez) as leading person in contra-USA tendencies and possible tomorrow's "Latin America Union" or whatever could come out of this interesting development.

Indeed, and also, whereas they took the Repsol part, they continue to let the Kirchner-friendly entrepreneur Enrique EskeNAZI have a big part of YPF, who acquired it freely without paying anything. The wors thing of all of this, is that a lot of people who define themselves as "socialists/leftists/progresists/center-left" support blindly anything the government does, they talk about human rights, "national and popular model", etc., but they can't see that they have been deceived in the worst and most dangerous way by these fascist mafia. This was also my first thought - I mean US militarists are threatening different country every other day (almost) - except Israel  ...Yesterday it was Libya, today Iran and Syria, for tomorrow  it is North Corea and day after tomorrow it could be Argentina ... Well I am curious  why they don't attack Cuba when they are so mighty?
