The Chimera Vector
Nathan:
Hey everyone,
Thought I'd share with you my first novel, The Chimera Vector, which has just been published by Pan Macmillan's new digital imprint, Momentum. You can check it out here:

--- Quote from: Synopsis ---The Fifth Column: the world's most powerful and secretive organization. They run our militaries. They run our governments. They run our terrorist cells.
Recruited as a child, Sophia is a deniable operative for the Fifth Column. Like all operatives, Sophia's DNA has been altered to augment her senses and her mind is splintered into programmed subsets.
On a routine mission in Iran something goes catastrophically wrong. Bugs are beginning to appear in Sophia's programming and the mission spins out of control.
High-speed chases, gun fights, helicopter battles, immortal psychopaths, super soldiers and mutant abilities are all in the mix in this edge-of-your-seat action-packed techno-thriller.

Writing this was a part-time hobby over the past 12 years, on and off. I've been a reader of SOTT for the same amount of time (or Signs of the Times as it was referred to then). Because of this, The Chimera Vector features themes such as programmed individuals, false flag operations, the illusory nature of the war on terror and most importantly: psychopathology.
Just the other week it hit #1 on the Apple iBookstore's science fiction charts, which was very exciting. Especially since the book isn't even out yet! The release date is 1 May 2012. But for the next few days it will available for pre-order at the early bird price of $2.99 on Amazon and the Apple iBookstore. (From 1 May you will also be able to grab it on Barnes & Noble, Google Play, Kobo and Bookish.)
Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Congratulations! I wish you good luck with your book.
Nathan:
Thanks Loreta! You have a lovely name too. My mother's name is Loretta.
As much as I hate "self-promoting" on forums, this book draws on many of the things discussed on this forum so I think it will be especially relevant. As much as a novel can be, anyway! ;)
