Sinkhole in Turkey
Biomiast:
Hi to all,
I just saw the news that there is a sinkhole in Turkey in Erzincan province which is close to the East Anatolia fault zone, so it could be related to earthquakes. I have seen this video that claims the sinkhole is 5 meters wide and 30-35 meters deep.

Pashalis:
somehow I'm not really convinced about the authenticity of that video.
IMO it could be a hoax.
you never see the sinkhole in the field and then a zoom in or walking to it to see it's interior.
there is always a cut in between. you either see the interior of the sinkhole without the field or the
Field with a sinkhole in it from an angle so you can't see the deepness.
I think the video was cut together from two different sinkholes.
also the earth material kind of looks different when you look at both video portions.
and the people that are surrounding the hole in the field and throw in stones in my view are kind of bad acting
in order to convince the viewer that the hole is really deep.
Biomiast:
Hi Pashalis,
I appreciate your skepticism, but I want to make a few points for you to better understand the context.
The video is taken from a mainstream newspapers website, which doesn't prove its authenticity, but this is not a nut job playing with some video effects. The reporters went there to interview with the people. The owner of the field contacted the authorities and they commissioned the University to investigate.
As for your other concerns, check this video:

I am not sure if it adresses your suspicions, maybe not, but it seems to me, there can be different layers on top of each other that may look kind of different. If there was a cave beneath the field, it would be very different from the surface soil. That is my limited understanding only.
You can be right though, but it would mean this is an elaborate plot that involve several news agencies who have been there and regional government offices.
My two cents, fwiw.
Pashalis:
well I can't read Turkish so I can't research it as you might can.
but I just find the way they cut the videos and the angles they present of those sinkhole odd.
this is pointing to the possibility that there is something rotten for me. but that's just a possibility no certainty of course.
I'm not saying that there might be no hole. what I'm saying is that there is the possibility from my constrained viewpoint
that there is something wrongly presented there.
Biomiast:
I understand what you mean and I will keep what you said in mind while watching videos. Thanks.
