USA Memorial Day Church Sign

(1/2) > >>

Patrick:
Churches in the US, particularly in rural areas, have signs in front on which the pastor (called a "preacher" hereabouts) will present a verse or a snappy bit of dogma to inspire the flock.  The offering this weekend at the small church I pass on the way to town manged to miss any spiritual content while saying more than was perhaps intended about the country's true religion.

--- Quote ---The dead soldier's silence sings our national anthem.
--- End quote ---

SeekinTruth:
That says it all, doesn't it? :O

Mark:

So ironic isn't it? I don't think these preachers think too much about what they post - good thing most of them stay off the internet  :)

SeekinTruth:
 That's a good one, Mark.

Mac:
Both signs seem to be examples of unintentionally telling the truth. Would be funny if it wasn't so tragic.
