No it has nothing to do with attention seeking it has to do with what I thought everyone else would like. And I did a tarot reading because I thought it might help him. I dont get what you mean by that?

We usually ask first, or wait till somebody asks us for information/knowledge.  That's respecting their free will, and not assuming that we know what's best for someone, which is rather narcissistic.   :)

It is not necessary to become worried about any given environmental occurrence. Focus on the soul. It is the soul that matters, not the body. Do what is comfortable to make yourselves function at optimum with the least amount of time and effort, and concentrate on gaining and gathering knowledge and enhancing awareness.

Believe me, I am screwed, too, maybe even more than you. My family is totaly broke (no many, no new possibilites), my health is bad, the dearest person in my life passed away recently, and so on, and so on.But,  I m still standing. Don t ask me how, I just try to be strong for my children who need me, and I always hope. Perhaps it is stupid, but that s me. The cassiopaean transcripts scare me, but also give me a hope that something good can become from knowledge Cassiopaeans give us. Be strong, my friend, because you are definitive not alone

True, that´s all we can do. For me, since I first learned about the Work, a lot of the worries that I had in the past completely disappeared, because now I have a goal in life. A "real" goal, not something like "I want to have a career" "I want to have that car" or something of that kind. I don´t know if I will ever reach it in this lifetime, but it keeps me going. It even makes me wonder how I was able to live with that limited worldview that 99% of the people have, even though I was never fully "at home" in this society even then. Sometimes I wondered "is there something wrong with me or is there something wrong with most of the other folks around me?" But of course there are days when I think I will NEVER get even close to what is needed to graduate from this density. But then, don´t they say that the seeker is always full of doubts? I guess if we were all completely sure about all of this, we would just be lying to ourselves. So I try to take it one step at a time, and we´ll see how it turns out in the end.

Actually when everything that is is lessons, then everything you want or desire is just so insignificant i cant even tell you. Even worrying doesnt give anything. The lessons will simply come whether you want it or not it is just so natural so what is the point of wanting something. Especially modern people want to be loved or want to be liked by everyone else so they are parading themselves like a pair of peacocks and chameleons. They just do the same fake talk and are afraid that someone might think something bad about them. So they do some more of it and finally they lose themselves in this charade and do not know anymore who they are and where they are. So what is the point of doing it ? It is just so sad.

He did ask for help look at his post- I do not know if it WOULD help, I only gave him a little information of what I THOUGHT would help him at the time. I assumed that it could help him in hope. Everyone here seems to be taking what I say and converting it into negative input that is exactly the opposite of the truth of where I was coming from. I do not understand this, why is it that you all seem to be doing this?

In this particular case it all comes back to free will, a concept that must be understood in our line of work.

Maybe we are pointing out aspects of you that you are not aware of, in order that you see yourself in a different light. If you refuse to acknowledge this and instead turn it around and see people as being negative, that is your choice. But that is not how we operate here, we strive to see ourselves and the world as it really is. This involves hard work and tough realisations, that not many people are ready for.

This is not your ordinary discussion forum, it is not a walk in the park. Think of it as a school. And the teachers at this school have been doing it a very long time, and can know you better than you know yourself by analysing just a few of your posts. This is a very hard fact to face, but we have all been there.

We are not negative at all, and you will meet some of the most sincere and good people in the world here. However, being good and sincere involves acknowledging the bad.

Hi, it is important for me at this time to express the gratitude I feel towards people participating in this forum, so freely and with such generosity and patience are dumped in helping others, providing the most valuable of life, knowledge and love. I followed this topic and thought, in my particular case and I think many people, how important it had been to have family or friends who had been able to contribute, advice, guidance, knowledge necessary in many moments of life, some crucial. I think our own shortcomings, patterns, egos keep us in the illusion and suffering and the sooner and better identify them, the sooner we can overcome them.
I learn a lot what I read in the forum, it keeps me thinking about many things throughout the day and wanted to share with you right now.
Thanks all

 i have been in the same state of ,uh, ego. i've even said my "bad" hip was a lucky shot from the next dimension! ive been blessed and armed with a sense of humor. hey, its ok to use resources available even if from gov. i once traded a teapot for gas money to get back home!you have a family right? that alone will open doors for you. alot of this information can be scary for me,  until it is processed through my ummm...heart. i so deep down know, that the results are good news. i believe we don't get smashed into nothing, forever! how i live this life will directly affect my next. i just hope they don't have to back order (pun intended!) my galactic bling wings! so don't flick it, noogey maybe, and this site is right where i like to see you be!

Mod's note: Edited to fix the smiley.  ;)

Ditto. In my case I don't think I was able to live in it, without meeting a very early demise, due to being a sceptical extremist, erratically resistive & needing a reason for everything [forever asking why].. so humility/trust in the process is something I'm learning to embrace.

Acting out of fear? With rising anxiety, depression & stress levels, it pains me to watch people/events.. I've been that way. This modern world employs varies means to get you to hand over your essence.

This was very nice to read  :) Agreed.

Faith of feeling is weakness
Faith of body is stupidity.

Love of feeling evokes the opposite
Love of the body depends only on type and polarity.

Hope of feeling is slavery
Hope of body is disease." Gurdjieff.

This post gives me much hope. I realize that the trails and tribulations one goes through is only there to help better yourself. I was thinking early today that if I never struggled the way I did and do, I would have never awakened. My experiences has freed me from myself importance, and we sometimes need those shocks in order to keep us in shape. It took me awhile to realize why I was/am suffering. I cried for days in misery but I realize the root of my problem is the lack of understanding of why this is happening. Things are looking up for me and it may or may not get better. But like you all said at least try and never stop pushing yourself. Because once you give up you may never know your true potential and that's a scary thought.
