This article has been translated and published on the Sott Fr and as far as I can say, there haven't been so much reactions about any article published here. So I wonder, is it only the french that don't stand any fair critic ? How does react other nationality in general when they're facing criticism about their country ?

I think I assumed that readers of Sott fr were more mature than that (my error) or is it again a french thing ?

I'd like some views here.

And for those who are able to understand french, the comments are here :

Funny thing is that today, I just realized that there is a sort of small industry of people writing books trying to explain to other Westerners how to deal with the French, how to survive in France, why the French are "the way they are" and just a whole host of things along that line.  What I'm wondering is, are there similar books about other cultures?

I often get a funny feeling when I'm driving down the road here and passing people on the street.  I think to myself "they all look so totally western, so modern, so ordinary... it's like seeing people on any street in the U.S. (except maybe for the background)... same types of faces, hair, etc etc... so how is it that they are so different that I feel like I'm on a different planet?"

Of course, I know part of the answer: the fact that France was taken over by a psychopathic elite a very long time ago and while the names have changed, nothing has changed about the psychopaths at the top except that they have made it easier and easier to stay at the top and get away with whatever they want exactly as has been happening in the U.S. for some time though in a slightly different way.  The French people are about as helpless to be different from the way they are programmed to be as Americans are helpless to get over their programmed stupidity.  And in both countries, they are absolutely certain that their way is the right way.

But still, France gets a lot more cultural criticism than the U.S.  Sure, everybody talks about the U.S. arrogance in the political sense, but by and large, most Americans are individually likeable and friendly.  So what is up with that?

Maybe some sort of Stockholm syndrom  at a nation level ?

That's what it looks like, for sure.  And not only in France, but elsewhere.  The big difference in France is a particular flavor to it that I can't quite put my finger on.

Size and sheer numbers?  France  is what, about the size of New Jersey?  I think the US is better compared to all of western Europe, with different states being more like different countries?  Places like Georgia and Massachusetts are different enough to almost be different countries.  Supposedly they're speaking the same language, but you get someone from Georgia and someone from Massachusetts in the same room and it sure doesn't sound like they're speaking the same language.

I think it gets confusing because in America we've got at least a dozen distinct cultures in same the country?
