A new song I made

Yes, I am the singer for it. Since I do not have a band, I am doing almost all the stuff. Balkanik? Maybe, I am from Romania, so it might be the case.

I made 3 more songs, mainly orchestral good for videos; anyone who is interested in using them for a video, just send me a PM and I will respond to you:)

Here they are:

https://soundcloud.com/edsworld/eds-orchestra-no-1

Also, if you feel that you've heard some of these notes combination - let me know. I would like to avoid copyrights law, and increase originality.

Really beautyfull music Ed!

Personally, the more flute/atmospheric pieces are not my cup of tea (at the moment at least), but it still moved me... I just love discovering new music. Gotta love that people sharing it for free on soundcloud. I personally like a bit more kick and rhythm in it... and fair enough, u really have some awesome songs. "Road to nowhere" is amazing!

Thanks for sharing!

I have fallen in love with Orchestra no.2!

On the first run through I envisioned a romantic couple in Romanian dress, dancing on stage to an orchestral accompaniement. On the second run through the Romanian flavor was gone but I felt exhuberant and 'dancy' in my chest and was feeling mixed emotions. On the third run through I was in tears by the end and have no idea why.

Thank you for a beautiful experience, Ed!

I am really glad about people enjoying it. Recently I bought a powerful laptop to be able to create songs without intrerruption(my laptop was getting really stuck) and also some headphones that could tell me better how to masterize the song.

These are the latest pieces I made:

For the song "But when it will come?" I used also the Duduk(one of G's instruments, but from a software).
Enjoy!

Thanks for sharing edgitarra, I especially liked "But when it will come?", very relaxing :) I also really like the instrument-sound that starts at around 0:56, it kind of gives that Indian vibe to it.

edgitarra, I listened to every song and enjoyed every single one of them. But Liber and Easy Listen blew me away! Those two songs I keep going back to. Thank you ;)

Some of tracks with piano or guitar sound a bit robotic in the fingering. The drums also come from the same sample so they are a bit repetitive. There are instruments available that rotate through different sample sets to avoid this problem. A bit of reverb on the drier samples helps. A drum sample with no reverberations can sound out of place If there is a lot of reverb applied to the other instruments (unless this effect is intended, and it works well in most of your tracks). These things don't usually stand out very much but can make the music come across as artificial sometimes.

That is my one tiny critique. I think your music is amazing and like every track. It reminds me of simpler less unpolished stuff I made years ago, when I was driven towards creative acts more.

Oh many thanks ! I am no pro, so I also have the same feeling. They do sound artificial(I use Fruity Loops) and it is bugging my mind on how to work on it. But mostly I do it for the enjoyment of the sounds, I don't know if I will ever get involved deeper into making it more professional. I enjoy feedback like this!

I meant "less polished" actually, silly typos.

There is music selling well at a lesser standard than what you produce, so I'd say keep doing what you're doing, and if more "professionalness" slips in as a result of simply having more information, it's a bonus. But focusing on that at the expense of anything else might just injure your composition.

Here is an interesting discussion I know of on the topic:
