Oh, yes, the famous 'Armenian Radio' anecdotes! Here you can find examples of those jokes translated to English.

Don't forget that Gurdjieff was born in what is now Armenia! Also, Armenian Apostolic Church or the Gregorian Church is one of the oldest branches of Christianity, so is probably one of the closest to the ideas of the esoteric Christianity.

This is Armenian Radio; our listeners asked us: “What is the difference between capitalism and socialism?”

We’re answering: “In a capitalist society man exploits man, and in a socialist one, the other way around.”

Goodbye Ukraine, Hello Novorossiya

Kiev is heading for a fall -- with not enough gas to heat the country this winter, no economy to speak of, losing the war in the east, dissent among the troops and their relatives at home.

Forget federalization; 'Ukraine', as such, is collapsing. Russia suggested federalization way back in March, when the DNR and LNR held referenda on seceding from Ukraine. The time for that has come and gone. Kiev "crossed the red line" when it launched its ATO to bring about submission by force. A new country has been born in the fires of Western imperialism, only this time it is a result opposite to what was intended!

CyberBerkut today has revealed Poroshenko's plans to call up students for participation in the "anti-terrorist operation".

Curious, I've just seen recently the picture of Ukie oligarchs' sons: Poroshenko, Turchinov, Avakov, Akhmetov et al (see below) on the Internet. Guess how many of them are going to participate in the "ATO"? Here are these "golden youngsters" or "majors" as they are called in Russian:

Inscription: Major 1 Battalion is formed to defend the Cote d'-Azur.

Just saw this on Poroshenko's twitter page:

We are finally to receive military and technical aid from the EU to make our army more efficient in fighting.

Seekin Truth, with just a tiny bit of expansion, what you wrote above would make a good article.

Sure, I can add some more details and post it for review. Where should I post it?

Some other similarities include: there was a movement for independence starting around 1988 in Armenia proper (but it had started a bit earlier in Karabakh). That's when the massacres started in Azerbaijan - the major one in Sumgait and to a somewhat lesser extent Baku. When the Azeri army began to attack Nagorno-Karabakh, they blockaded it and also all transport and shipments into Armenia proper. Turkey joined them and Georgia was having their own civil war with Abkhazia making border crossing there very iffy, so the only border Armenia had that wasn't blockaded (or impaired) was Iran. By the way the blockade is still in place today except that the Georgian border usually has no problem now. Azerbaijan is also a sort of "made up" country - didn't exist before 1918. And as Siberia mentioned, the referendum was held and a vote for independence secured overwhelmingly (with independent international observers, I believe). The population in Karabakh was about 90% or so Armenian at the beginning of the conflict and now basically all Armenian. I'll check all the details for accuracy for the article as I'm going on memory.

Among the confiscated weapons were Turkish and Israeli tanks and heavy artillery, etc. and also left-over Soviet equipment. Interestingly, there were Ukrainian volunteers fighting on the side of Azerbaijan, probably Right Sector types.

Speaking of similarities, the same Ukrainian volunteers were also fighting in Chechnya on the side of the terrorists, and also in Georgia in 2008 (on the side of psychopath Saakashvili).

Yes, and each time there was arming, training, funding, and "military advisers" by the usual suspects.

Thanks for your post, SeekinTruth, and looking forward for more information about Armenia. I remember when I studied at University, our professor taught us how unique Armenian culture and language are. The language has its own alphabet and, although considered as part of Indo-European family, is most indigenous, original and ancient. And the culture is also amazing: it is very deep - probably because Armenia had to suffer so much. The 20th century alone was extremely difficult: the war with Turkey in 1920, devastating earthquake in 1988 with 40% of Armenian industry ruined by it, and the latest Karabakh war, just to name a few.

Yes, the language is very unique. As you say, it's considered Indo-European, but I think it's mixed quite a bit with Semitic including the language of Urartu (Armenians, or what came to be known as such have lived in the Ararat and caucuses area in "official" history from around 3500 or 3000 BC supposedly). There's quite a lot of Persian language words mixed in too, and some Arabic and Turkish in common usage although you won't find those in the dictionary like the Persian ones (those now being considered as the actual Armenian words).

Armenia also resembles modern Palestine to some extent, because it also has to fight for its land to defend it from the nations who have very little (if any) historic right to own it. The population of Nagorny Karabakh is 99.7% Armenian, and still the UN does not recognize their rights. The US State Dept calls Armenians occupants, which is ridiculous, because they actually occupy their own land! In 1991 Karabakh held a referendum with 99.9% votes for Independence from Azerbaijan. Just the same as in Crimea. So many similarities and parallels, indeed.

Yeah, true. Azeris and Turks started moving into the area (now directly bordering Armenia on the East and West) around 13th century AD in several waves lasting centuries.

What is also amazing, is how strong Armenian spirit is, despite all these trials. Any Russian speaker would agree that there is no other nation with such brilliant sense of humor as Armenians. It is a mystery how they manage to be so light-hearted notwithstanding all their sufferings. But at the same time, their culture is very deep, as I said. Their music is very touching. For those who might be interested there is a famous Armenian song Dle Yaman by Zara (voice) and Djivan Gasparyan (duduk):

Yes. I don't think some of Armenia's disastrous history could have been survived without a strong sense of humor developing. It's too bad that there's a lot of humor that just can't be translated without losing the gist. Again, it's a strange language where some things can be translated very easily and others lose a lot including the humor.

G was born in the same city I was. At that time it was called Alexandropol and was the cultural center under the Russian Empire's administration. During my lifetime it's also known as the humor center of the country. As far as Christianity, Armenia is supposedly the first nation that accepted it as the official state religion in 301 AD. But as we know, how accurate any of that is, it's hard to say, certainly the date can't be taken at face value.

There's also a very murky background and timing to how the independence movement started in the late 80's and the shady character, Levon Der Bedrossian, who became the "leader" of the movement and then the first President of "independent" Armenia - his wife is also a dual citizen of Israel. I'll try to cover a bit of that briefly and see what you all think.

Yep, Armenia is a motherland of many outstanding people. One of them is Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russia Today. Her mother is Armenian and her father is Russian. She was born in Russia actually, but her Armenian roots are obviously very strong considering her super-strong character. I think she is the best journalist in Russia: she is always very straight-talking, never afraid to ask "inconvenient" questions. I remember her comment about that nasty incident with Liz Wahl which I posted here earlier: it is most objective, imo.

Kolomoisky can blow up the plant, if the militia will take Zaporozhye
Digor, DNR News, Aug 28 2014

On Thursday Aug 28, Igor Kolomoisky has announced that he will begin the implementation of a “plan B” without explaining what it is. But the oligarch said that now he takes control and protection of Mariupol and Odessa. According to experts, Kolomoisky cannot count on the help of Kyiv, therefore, to deal with the forces of militia, he would have alone. He is sponsoring its punitive battalions, other forces had not. All government army will remain in the South-East of the country, and under no circumstances Poroshenko now will not help Kolomoisky, said a military expert Vladimir Timoshenko. As told by a source in Zaporozhye city administration, soon after this statement Kolomoisky, appeared in the city Boris Filatov, the right hand of the Governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region. He ordered local officials are preparing for the worst and prepare the DneproGES dam to undermining. A retired Colonel Viktor Litovkin said:

The implementation of such a plan to undermine the dam would be suicide for Kolomoisky. Broken DneproGES dam wash Ukraine and part of Russia. No war is such victims as the threat of the destruction of DGAS.

Military expert Yevgeny Chernousov said:

In the history of military conflicts were similar situation, when there is a risk of collapse of dams and power plants. But even during the Great Patriotic War, the Germans tried to avoid it.

According to a source in Zaporozhye, local authorities are outraged by the behavior Kolomoisky and his assistants, who do not skimp on the threat. However, internal tensions within the district does not give officials the ability to withstand the pressure of the oligarch. Production at major local factories suspended because of the ban on military-technical cooperation with Russia. In the autumn a few of them may be closed completely. All this contributes to the growth of discontent and opposition of the authorities. Zaporozhye is one of the few cities that refused to turn off the Eternal Flame to save gas. To avoid potential unrest, in addition to people Kolomoisky in Zaporozhye directed battalions that had previously conducted a sweep operation of Mariupol from “bad” people. The expert Andrei Suzdaltsev says:

Given the setting of the situation in the region, Kolomoisky risks antagonizing the majority of the population of Mariupol and Zaporozhye. As soon as the troops of the militia will be included in the regional center, many residents of Zaporozhye can join the ranks of the militia. Cossacks live in Zaporozhye. They know and love to fight. In favor of the resistance fighters of AFU and Punisher battalions Kolomoisky says the fatigue of the local electorate from empty promises and lordly manners Kolomoisky. Solves the mood and the economy: housing prices, the volatility of the exchange, the gas issue crushes on people in favor of resistance power.

The Dnieper is the most important part of the infrastructure of the South-East of Ukraine. One this station supplies electricity several areas. The DneproGES dam was blown up twice during the great Patriotic war: for the first time on the order of the Soviet leadership, for the second time undermining by the Germans during the retreat from the territory of Zaporizhzhya.

Would someone be able to translate this article cross-posted on Club Orlov? The google translate from Russian wasn't bad, but I'm always afraid of missing the nuances. It's about the nonsense of a Russian invasion of E Ukraine

In Lviv Housing and communal services offer an exchange: to room debtors can write off debts for the apartment if they voluntary go to the front. Announcements of such contents are hanging on all front doors and a gate of the galitsky capital.

Get a grasp of these lines: "Dear residents! On numerous requirements to repay debts for utilities you refuse to pay, motivating it is insolvency. However in your apartment are registered and live faces of military age. In this regard the housing and communal services are compelled to address in a military commissariat, demanding to attract these residents for service in a zone of carrying out anti-terrorist operation. In this regard privileges in the form of release from payment of debt on the apartment will be provided to you. In this case, you will be able to direct a salary on debt repayment for utilities".

And it not joke. Isn't able to pay for the apartment because the Maidan took away from you work and a salary? To you not to master the IMF requirement? You have no dollars which can be exchanged at the rate of 1:14? Repay debts lives of the husbands, sons, brothers.

vile "patriotic" lie of junta: it is less than loss in ATO in the evening, than in the afternoon.

On August 29, 12 o'clock in the afternoon. the alcoholic speaker of SNBO Lysenko speaks: "for All the time of ATO 789 Ukrainian soldiers were lost".
all Ukrainian mass media right there extended it.

On August 29, evening, the speaker of SNBO Lysenko speaks: "as of 10 o'clock in the morning of this day during ATO 765 servicemen were lost".
and again, on traditions, all Ukrainian mass media right there extended this lie. NOBODY asked questions. because to be the patriot in the totalitarian country of junta is to jump and call to kill Russians, but not to think the brains.

Analysis of the military situation: NATO sees Ukraine as already loser

Ukraine: pro-Russian separatists on the move Photos

Pro-Russian fighters have captured the Luhansk airport, for Kiev military defeat is lined up to defeat. NATO holds war in eastern Ukraine already decided for: Putin's units are superior.

Kiev / Moscow - NATO has changed its military assessment of the situation in eastern Ukraine fundamentally. A week ago, the strategists of the Alliance assumed that Russia has strengthened the separatists with covert troops only because the pro-Russian rebels had to retreat under pressure of the Ukrainian army.

When the generals of the alliance but then late last week to a crisis meeting on the situation of the army of the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko came together, they painted a grim picture. "Militarily, the conflict for Kiev is already lost," stated a senior NATO general. Poroshenko, the judgment, were "really only talks to withdraw his men alive from the pliers of the Russians".

The location descriptions behind closed doors were far more dramatic than the few images that NATO published mid-week. On large maps were marked with thick arrows Russian units, which now from the north, the west and the south on the border of eastern Ukraine are at least 20 Battaillone with a minimum of 500 men and heavy guns are the scouts of NATO.

Of particular concern was the NATO military the new front in the south near the city of Mariupol. Moscow could use the troops to liberate a land connection to the Crimea - and so consolidate the illegal annexation of the peninsula. Moreover, Ukraine has in fact completely lost control of their own eastern border.

On the other side of the border, the situation is not much better. Thus, the Ukrainian units encircled by separatists and Russian soldiers with heavy artillery, as well as no more freedom of movement.

Great success in early August - then the setbacks

Kiev had achieved massive military successes in the first week of August and the cities of Donetsk and Luhansk almost included. In Kiev, many hoped for a quick victory. Russia thus strengthened its military support. An offensive by the pro-Russian fighter threw Kiev military far behind.

Since it is a setback after another for Kiev. On Monday, Ukrainian units withdrew after heavy shelling from Lugansk airport. After Ukrainian details a Russian tank battalion was involved in the taking. For the first time the separatists thus control an airport. In Kiev the growing fear that Moscow could now support the rebels with fighter planes.

In the south end of the last week of the border town Nowoasowsk fell into the hands of pro-Russian fighters. The units could reach Mariupol rapidly, it is the last major city in the region, Kiev still controlled.

Heavy casualties, many prisoners

Several Ukrainian units were surrounded. Fighters of the volunteer battalions "Azov" and "Dnepr" stuck after heavy fighting firmly near the small town Ilowaisk. We are talking about more than 100 wounded and several hundred prisoners. Only a few members of the force to leave the boiler succeeded. Because of all the failures Poroshenko would occupy leading posts in the army now new, reported the news agency dpa.

From the perspective of NATO strategists therefore an invasion with more Russian forces not necessary. A new turn to Kiev favor close them out. The already infiltrated units are to consider. "Poroshenko dictated where he can move towards his men," said the NATO-man, "in the war it is called a victory."

The psychos are so focused that the idea of cutting their losses in Ukraine won't even occur to them. It could ramp to something really ugly.

More propaganda thanks to the war whores: Putin, 'If I want to I can take Kiev in a fortnight'

_http:/ /www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2739563/Ukraine-accuses-Russia-artillery-attack-navy-Moscow-s-foreign-minister-says-immediate-ceasefire-needed-consolidate-Kremlin-gains.html

Anyway, Putin should just keep doing the same, and with the coming murderer winter, all Eastern Europe will be thrown at his feet. And then, Western Europe. That could be one of the big reasons why the imperialists want to provoke a war as quickly as possible.

the Ukrainian mass media mock at own mutilated lost soldiers, giving out them for the Russian mercenaries and terrorists:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Av8XwbTjy0U

they told that it "the Russian T-72 tank which isn't present on arms of Ukraine, and near it - the PIECE of the Russian terrorist". but it is the UKRAINIAN T-64 tank and the scorched member of his crew.
---

and it is full deification the psychopathy of junta:
"The Russian tanks FLY over Lugansk as at home"!
