New 21st Century Multilateralism

The Force is Strong With This One
"No country can stand alone."

These words spoken tonight by Christine Lagarde, IMF leader At The Dimbleby Lecture in The Guildhall, City of London. Lagarde made a very strong and effective speech warning of the consequences of failing to act to ensure the whole world has a financial system system for the 21st Century that is Global in reach. an International System that has collective responsibility, a new multilateralism that is not negotiable.

Leaving aside all the predictable NWO and Illuminati thoughts for now, Legarde made some excellent references as to how wealth was distributed unevenly throughout the world, giving examples of this from USA to India and going on to speak of Sub-Saharan countries facing immense resource shortages wrt food and water over the coming years if global action is not taken. She also mentioned carbon footprints and the action needed to lessen its effects globally.

Excellent references were made to many distinguished International figures from Martin Luther King, through Churchill and Prince Charles, but the most significant was that made to Keynes and the 1944 Breton Wood Conference, "An appointment with destiny...".

If you get the opportunity Legardes' speech is well worth listening to and understanding. I am no fan of a woman charged as recently as last year with fraud and other offences, but I know a good speech when I,hear one and members would do well to seek it out. It is very informative, whatever side of the divide you exist!

Having glanced through it, my impression is much less enthusiastic: many good intentions displayed in favorable window dressing, but as we know speeches as such don't change the world nor will the IMF be a leading force for the good of the disgruntled many. OSIT.

Failed the cynicism test at the first attempt!

I am not a supporter of either extreme, be that TPTB or the total Conspiracy Theorists. What I saw was a powerful speech that raised some interesting facts about more than just Globalisation, which is here whether we like it or not. To steal a line from Cabaret...'Money makes the World go around, a Buck a Yen a Mark or a pound...it makes the world go round.'

Unless TPTB can agree on a fairer approach not only to global wealth distribution but also to the true necessities of life then there will be worse things to worry about than interest rates or The Fed.

The whole thing is an illusion of smoke and mirrors and the majority of the 'free' world have not got a clue beyond the latest reality TV programme or Soap Opera. We have become short term, materialistic and selfish bemused by the power of advertising and MSM and Political spin. You only have to look to the UK to see the sheer power of Political lobbying at work, the average Sheeple would not know the difference let alone care about the end results of Fracking or Hacking! Society sucks apt best, at worst it is what the majority deserve due to their indifference.

It would have been interesting to have a list of attendees at last nights Mansion House Speech overlaid on a Bilderbergers attendee list, there were more than a handful on view! Cue X Files theme..doo doo, doo doo!

I'm not sure how anyone can put any confidence in such words by a figure like Lagarde.

Emphasizing inequalities, pollution, hunger etc. is a very typical argumentation for the "united world" agenda. In fact solving these "global" problems seems to be intended as the main selling point of the NWO. For decades such dramas have been popularized in various social campaigns, presumably in order to agitate people emotionally and inspire in them a sense of global responsibility. Thing is, there seem to have been very little effective effort to actually solve these problems, despite having power to do so. On the contrary, many third-world pathologies have been born due to actions of Western elites - sometimes the very same people that promote "global solutions for global problems". From the NWO marketing point of view it's actually beneficial to have such a level of misery in Africa, just waiting to be photographed, filmed and visited by George Clooney.

And of course the human-caused global warming... what would a modern political speech be without referencing it?

When I read such speeches (which I have done a lot in the past, not recently any more) I always compare the rhetoric with facts on the ground from recent developments like Greece or Ukraine or Croatia when considering IMF.

After doing so for a while you can get a knack for de-constructing the propaganda slogans into the real policy measures. These people have developed a certain 'new-speak' in which they package their outlook. It has been described in Ponerology how that works if I'm not mistaken.

In this speech I didn't detect anything out of the ordinary which means I don't think there are any real changes in policy to be expected from IMF in the near future. The globalization we are confronted with is THEIR brand of it, not the one real people would need for the betterment of their circumstances or that of their children. A mere reference of Keynes or Bretton Woods or dramatizing a meeting with destiny wouldn't indicate any attempt to substantially reconstruct the global arrangements that are in place now as far as I can tell -- not withstanding the usual maneuvering behind the scenes and the possibility of rivaling factions with slightly different purposes and methods.

So, I fully concur with lostinself who just posted similar remarks.

Sounds like 'they' are attempting to 'stay on message', much as the new Pope is trying to do.. same message but a new messenger... with no apparent difference in-beween.
Words are meaningless put into action.... 'do they walk the talk' etc... and usually the answer is no.... though they are good at the usual 'window-dressing' like any politician parading before the people, kissing babies, looking informal and 'one' with them... etc. same bs.

I always meant to give a suitable quote and only just now found what I needed:

Doublespeak in the Modern Pathocracy

Better late than never... ;)

Thank you very much, Palinurus, for sharing.
When Lagarde talking about international cooperation, it really seems its a demand of surrender to all governments and people to the policies of IMF wants to impose on the entire planet. Strange laying on of cooperation!. Perhaps a case of snake tongue (and in Spanish, "Lagarde" could sound like lizard= lagarto).
