Quite a list of bug invasions, Stardust. When all the beneficial insects are gone from toxic pesticide use and mono crop agriculture, will there be only the pest bugs to fill the niche? Monsanto and DOW already have even more toxic pesticides they will recommend for a price.

In fact, toxic pesticids are not the only reason of good insects perturbations. It is known that pollen-gathering insects are very sensitive to EMF and electricity that help them in space navigation and for tracking flowers. And they are of course very sensitive to anomalies in these EMF ( for example : bees can't find his way to hive any more )

What I wonder, in connection with Pierre's book, is that all these pertubations and the coming wave could also increase the number of "dirty/destructor insects"... In the ten plagues of Egypt, they were criquets :(

Changes in the weather patterns cause insect movements. Three years back we were invaded by psyllids that 'blew in from the south' and ruined our tomato crop. The psyllid explosion fed an increase in wasps that year. In connection with Pierre's book, changes in the weather patterns could be caused by increased EM discharges in the atmosphere. The extreme weather in many locations could be driving insect migrations. I notice fewer insects in my local area, less this year even than last year. I look at the recent insect population decreases and wonder if they are caused by increased fallout from Fukushima.

I think there's a difference between insects migrations ( as a progressive fact, like tiger mosquito which goes further to the Northern Europea year after year) and massive "explosions" which pop up suddenly in a place. It seems that it is not the same mechanism.

This looks like something that would come out of a Alfred Hitchcock movie or one of Steven King's novel's? Check out the radar map and the six photo's of the invasion of Mayflies.

Huge ‘Mayfly Hatch’ Caught On Radar, Overwhelms Upper Midwest

Sunday July 20, 2014

On the evening of July 20, 2014 mayflies hatched along the Mississippi river between Minnesota and Wisconsin in such great numbers that they were picked up by radar resembling light rain. the hatch began around 8:35pm. According to the National Weather Service: “this particular emergence was that of the larger black/brown Bilineata species. The radar loop below shows the reflected radar energy (reflectivity) from 8:35 pm to just after midnight. The higher the values (greens to yellows) indicate greater concentrations of flies. Note how the swarm is carried northward over time.”

I live in eastern Iowa and this is a normal occurrence. They only live for less than a day. They have no mouths and are relatively harmless except for the car crashes they sometimes cause. Cities in the past have had to get snow plows out in the middle of summer to clear the streets.

AUSTRALIAN LANDSCAPE FILLED WITH MILLIONS OF SPIDER WEBS

Reuters photographer Daniel Munoz captured these images of massive areas with millions of spiders in their webs when he was near the town of Wagga Wagga in Australia. Apparently the spiders were trying to get away from the rising waters, leaving behind enormous amounts of silk in their paths.
Definitely, I do not like spiders, avoid killing them except when my being is quite threaten. Seeing those pics was beyond my spider nightmare, though. :scared:
