Measles vaccinations turned deadly for some 15 or more infants/children in Syria and yet the Doctor who administered the shots claims "It was unclear what killed the children?"

Wednesday, September 17, 2014 - BEIRUT -- At least 15 children died after receiving vaccinations in rebel-held parts of Syria, and activists said Wednesday that the death toll from two days of government airstrikes in the central city of Talbiseh climbed to nearly 50, a heavy toll even by the vicious standards of the country's civil war.

The children, some just babies, all exhibited signs of "severe allergic shock" about an hour after they were given a second round of measles vaccinations in the northwestern province of Idlib on Tuesday, with many suffocating to death as their bodies swelled, said physician Abdullah Ajaj, who administered the vaccinations in a medical centre in the town of Jarjanaz.

It was unclear what killed the children, but Ajaj said in an interview via Skype that they all exhibited the same symptoms to varying degrees. He said it was the first time he had ever seen such symptoms after vaccinations.

"There was shouting and screaming, it was hard for the parents. You get your child vaccinated and then you find your child dying, it's very hard," Ajaj said. There weren't enough respirators in the clinic, making the situation even worse, he added.

Video footage uploaded to social media showed a medic examining a young girl who was squirming. Another child, in an orange tee-shirt and blue pants, appeared lifeless as a medic administered CPR. He then opened the child's mouth to reveal a swollen, blue-tinged tongue. The footage corresponded with Associated Press reporting of the event.

The Western-backed opposition based in Turkey said it had suspended the second round of measles vaccinations, which began on Monday. The campaign was meant to target 60,000 children. In a statement, it said the vaccines used Tuesday met international standards and did not say what may have caused the deaths.

It is extremely unlikely that the vaccinations killed the children, said Beirut-based public health specialist Fouad Fouad, who said spoiled vaccinations were more or less harmless. "It cannot cause death," he said.

Opposition representatives could not immediately be reached for comment.

The U.N. children's agency is "waiting to receive more clarification on the facts," said UNICEF spokeswoman Juliette Touma.

Yeah, it HAS to be Assad's fault, of course ,with the help of Putin.

I'm only 47 and I can't understand why in such a short time all these vaccines became so widespread. When I was a child in Armenia, we just caught diseases like measles and acquired natural immunity. Now, pretty much worldwide, parents are brainwashed into thinking that they HAVE to vaccinate their children against these common childhood diseases.

Part of that brainwashing is "the matter-of-fact, authoritarian suggestion" that all vaccinations are a "requirement."

BEIRUT - Syria's opposition said Thursday that 16 children who died during a measles vaccination campaign in the mostly rebel-held province of Idlib had been given an anaesthesia additive by mistake.

"Reports point to the possibility of human error which led to atracurium being used in place of the solvent which should have been used with the vaccine," said opposition government chief Ahmad Tohme.

Tohme said the maximum dose of atracurium as used in general anaesthesia was 0.5 milligrammes per kilogramme (2.2 pounds) of bodyweight, whereas 5 milligramme doses were used with the children, enough to paralyse a child of less than 10 kilos.

An investigation is being carried out to determine any criminal responsibility and the whole vaccination team has been detained for questioning, he said, quoted on the exiled opposition's website.

The opposition ordered a halt to the vaccination programme on Tuesday, reporting 15 deaths, a day after its launch in Idlib province of northwest Syria.

On Thursday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group, said a 16th child had died. Some 100 other children are believed to have been affected and suffered reactions.

The children started showing symptoms "half an hour after innoculation. They suffered diarrhoea, allergic reactions and breathing difficulties," the opposition's health ministry said.

Syria's war has caused more than half of the population to flee their homes and millions of children are among the displaced, both inside and outside the country.

Medical groups have rushed to head off the spread of measles, mumps, rubella and polio in Syria, where normal medical services have disintegrated because of the civil war, which erupted in 2011.

That's really sad. :( How can you mix anesthetics up with vaccines? Here's another example of the West's anti-Assad propaganda machine taking advantage of this and spinning lies, The Guardian says: "Death toll expected to rise, says rebel government, as it warns saboteurs linked to Assad regime may be responsible".

But opposition officials denied accusations of negligence, saying that the vaccines came from Unicef and WHO, via the Turkish government, and that the same batch had successfully vaccinated 60,000 schoolchildren in 30 locations in recent days.

It's highly suspicious that the UN and WHO are facilitating a vaccination program in Syria now, considering that these organizations are strongly interconnected with the USA. The US government has been using any opportunity to undermine, if not directly overthrow, the government of Bashar al-Assad. Given that there is so much evidence that vaccines are dangerous, particularly to infants, it begs the question of whether this was just a very unfortunate accident or something more insidious. In a recent update, it has been learned that these children's vaccines contained an anesthesia additive, rather than the solvent commonly used in vaccines.

It is also highly interesting that the above article about a vaccine program also contains 'seemingly' unrelated information about the Obama administration's plans to target ISIS militants in Syria.

Also suspicious is that this took place in the Idlib province, where these rebels are situated, thus giving them the opportunity to point the finger at Assad's government for directly targeting Idlib, i.e. targeting the rebels indirectly. Only types of people who I can think of who'd be using children to target anyone would be the sick psychopaths operating under orders from the West. That would not be Assad's government.
