Interesting news - it seems that more viruses are mutating around the globe. I recall in late last year there were outbreaks in Southern China & there is currently an ongoing outbreak in Malaysia as well. Links posted below:

When i was a teen, around 15 years old, i did contract dengue fever as well after camping for 1 week in the tropical rainforests of Malaysia and being bitten by many mosquitos. Luckily for me it was not the hemorrhagic kind - but the high fevers, bone aches and body rashes were extremely uncomfortable. There is no cure for dengue, and the only thing that helps, is keeping the fever down, and ensuring your fluid levels in the body remain stable, while allowing your body to fight the virus. I remember only recovering from the almost 2 weeks of fever after spending the last 5 nights in hospital on IV drips.....then recovery came. All in all not a pleasant experience !
