Exposing Online Predators & Cyberpaths

Cyberpaths.blogspot is actually quite a valuable forum for helping victims of online predators. I assume since you've started a thread posting the address that you're familiar with their work?

Very familiar. I am on their private support group forum too. Wish more people would read it. Far too many people think cyberpaths (and sociopaths for that matter) are easy to spot or that they are "too smart" to be taken in.

hah!

You can say that again!

Generally, if you think you can always spot'em, the Universe will set you straight right quick! It takes a network to figure out the best ones.

It's still the craziest thing I ever saw to know that human looking creatures that have absolutely no ability to feel anything for anybody else at all (other than hunger and desire to dominate and hurt), can so effectively and masterfully evoke emotion in others.

What a paradox.

Welcome to the forum, Purplehaze!

You and Laura are correct in that sociopaths aren't always easy to spot. It takes knowledge and a network to figure them out. Thirty years ago, I crossed paths with one fresh out of high school...took a long time to get over the physical and emotional abuse. In the late seventies, there were no support groups in my area to deal with "bad boyfriends," just another ex-girlfriend who would call in the middle of the night to complain and share her misery. (Oh, she eventually went back to him...never heard from her...or him again!)

Looked over your site link a bit. Lots of information and activity. Nice to know there's a place to send someone to should they be in need of help. :)

I joined facebook few weeks ago for the reason of playing chess with my son.
After browsing it for a while the first thought I had was:
Oh my, what a playground for psychopaths!

Not just social networking or dating sites

these psychopaths with computers show up and target people on sites that are not geared towards relationships at all!! Some of the stories on that site will show you just how insidious they are and how anyone, anywhere at anytime is a potential victim.

This is all priceless information and I can attest to its validity because of my own experiences with Vincent Bridges, including the latest discussed here: http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=8574&p=1

Everything is there, laid out in public, the "whole nine yards." And the bizarre thing is that Vinnie doesn't even realize what a textbook case he is!

Thanks Laura. We added our "analysis" of the Bridges B.S. on that link you provided. ;)

One of our predators who reminds us a lot of Bridges is this guy: http://cyberpathlinks.blogspot.com/2007/06/j-aka-gridney-aka-yidwithlid-aka-sammy.html

One of his victims finally took legal action but he then enlisted help, like Bridges, to go after her. We see him clicking onto the site because he's still trying to "scrub" the net of all his crap. Why the police never charged him with multiple counts of soliciting we'll never know.

We exposed him in 2005 but about a year ago we re-ran him and he just went postal. His victim, at our suggestion, quietly put up a site with all the facts on it (http://thestumblingblock.wordpress.com) - of course he's FURIOUS about that, wants it down, won't listen to reason and has threatened her family if she doesn't take it down. Even though she's not the one who initiated the expose! These cyberpaths really feel all powerful behind a keyboard.

It's a classic, like Bridges... and well worth a thorough read. BTW this predator has his own 'right-wing' blog on politics - its linked at our sister site, The Exposer
http://clearblogs.com/theexposer/60857/When+Cyberpaths+Attack%3A+GRIDNEY+YIDWITHLID+%28a+prime+example%29.html

Pathologicals like Bridges never realize their textbook cases - and god forbid you point that out! :P lol

purplehaze I just wanted to say a late hi and welcome!

I just saw http://cyberpaths.blogspot.com/ and read a few entries, wow what a resource! The case format really helps one such as myself that have not fully understood how real they are, thank you!

Exposing Online Predators & Cyberpaths

thank GRiM

You (and everyone else) should take some time, as you can - and go through our list of predators and click and read the stories of those who have been exposed. There's a list in our right hand margin. There's some doozies there and they are very instructional.

Also, a request to all, comments on our stories, articles, etc are ALWAYS wanted. The victims find it very very validating - especially when they are told mostly to "get over it" "just move on" "its your fault" "forgive & forget" and/or "you should have known better." Comments help. Always.

Exposing Online Predators & Cyberpaths

Here's our list of the currently exposed - with links.
Some on our site some on other sites - we also list here their locations and professions where known

PLEASE pass these on - take the time to read the stories (all the links) and see how these people operate. And help validate our victims by commenting on their stories - it truly does help the healing process:

The only REAL way you get to "know" if someone is a predator... is to READ THESE STORIES and see the things these guys do as individuals. If you read them all -- bells will go off for you when you meet or encounter one in the future.

The one thing about pathologicals -- they are NOT unique... nor are they terribly inventive.

Re: Pornography & the Cyberpath

Interesting and to the point. I think it emphasizes a lot of the dangerous of cyberdating and many red flags to look for in potential partners.

props.
