I am currently doing further research into the proclaimed wonder drug, methyl sulfonyl methane. There's something there, I think, but I am still very cautious. I will try to explain the reason behind my prudence.

Methyl sulfonyl methane is very important in the sulfur cycle that involves all life on earth. It is also the final oxidation product of dimethyl sulfide which is produced by plankton in the sea for instance, but also by plants, and many bacteria. The dimethyl sulfide, being volatile rises up into the atmosphere where it is oxidized to dimethyl sulfoxide, and than further on towards di methyl sulfone, otherwise known as methyl sulfonyl methane. The latter two are less volatile, and readily dissolve in water, and thereby rain down on the vegetation where it is quickly taken up.

DMS --> DMSO --> DMSO(subscript)2

Dimethylsulfide --> Dimethylsylfoxide --> Dimethylsulfone or Methyl sulfonyl methane

Dimethyl sulfonyl methane was discovered after DMSO, an industrial solvent that is produced as a by product of the paper/pulp industry, and that was said to have remarkable benefits for many illnesses, mostly Interstitial Cystitis, but also chronic diseases that result in chronic PAIN.

Here is what one of the transcripts of the Cassiopaeans says about the use of DMSO. One wonders whether it is tackling the chronic disease or the pain that arises from the disease. I also have had the impression that most people who take it keep on taking it.

Q: (L) We have one other question that is personal. Can you describe the action of DMSO on the body tissues, and can it be detrimental?

So, if you wish to apply an antibiotic to a specific area of the body, you mix it with the DMSO and apply it there and then do not have to treat the entire body with the antibiotic just to get it to a particular area. Is any of this correct?
A: Well, we choose to pose the question to you: Such intricate processes as described, makes one wonder how such a compound would be widely available, given the nature of political and economic restrictions in your 3rd density environment.
Q: (L) Well, it is sold for veterinary use...
A: Again: How could such a compound be available for your use, if indeed, it has the results that you describe? We have answered the question. And, it is possible for you, given your inquisitive nature, to come up with a reliable and trustworthy chemical analysis through efforts of your own which would verify our statement: it is merely the result of nerve endings being numbed, as it were, which eases the pain. Q: (L) Are you saying that it is almost impossible to get anything that is good or useful in this environment? Are there no "good guys" out there putting things out that are good for us?

A: Remember, for quite some period of time now, as you measure time, we have tried to inform you to the effect that your third density environment has been completely controlled and will be controlled by forces that seek only to serve themselves for a period, as you would measure time, exceeding 309,000 years. One of the nasty "side effects" of DMSO, apart from the nerve numbing (killing?) effect as stated in the C's transcript is the bad odor, and immediate solvent like taste in the mouth. And this does not happen with the higher oxidized form methyl sulfonyl methane.

An example of those limits involves a derivative of DMSO, called DMS02. Dr. Jacob said this "interesting substance" gets away from the nuisance side effects (odor and bladder irritation) of DMSO. DMS02 is better tolerated by patients. Unfortunately, DMS02 does not have FDA approval, with no chance of getting it until well-documented studies can be done. A second thing that does not sit right for me is the claim that methyl sulfonyl methane is also a free radical scavenger. This is hard for me to take for granted because it is in the highest oxidized state already.
I can understand how dimethyl sulfide (DMS) and even DMSO could have some scavenger activity as these can still be oxidized to the next in line, but not methyl sulfonyl methane.
And indeed DMS and DMSO are suspected to have radical scavenger activity in plants, but at pretty high concentrations.

I have placed "powerful" in between brackets, because IMO this statement is a little eufemistic.

I have no definite conclusion, and as a family member is having Paget's disease, and it is stated that MSM is indispensable in treating Paget, my research is ongoing.

New angles of insight are very welcome.

I wasn't aware that MSM killed nerve endings. YIKES! I thought that it DID coat them somehow like Calcium coats nerve endings. Hmmm, I have been aware of the bulkmsm website for a very long time, maybe that's where I read it. But then again, I read a lot! and if I could remember I'd tell you.
