I'm going to do the saliva candida test tomorrow

Just keep in mind that the Candida spit test is NOT accurate.

Yes, please don't do it, it is pretty inaccurate (sorry, I made such a mess with saliva test, I believed in it's accurate for months), there are other more accurate ways to find if you have candida or not, one of the ways is to make a survey as suggested by Luthien; (link is here) http://owndoc.com/pdf/candida-survey.pdf

Sorry once more jhonny :-[.

Hi Ljubica,
FWIW, I found a nice article about candida in Croatian: "Candida infections - from paranoia to neglected clinical problem" _http://www.centarcedrus.hr/media/2667/candida_infekcije.pdf
I haven't started to read candida thread on Cass forum yet so I can't say how much of information in this article has already been covered here. Just thought that since article is in Croatian, and has lot of scientific papers (in English) as references, it could maybe be of some help to you.

About candida overgrowth tests it says that there are 4 of them:

1. microbiological cultivation
2. DNA tests
3. candida metabolites in blood (d‐arabinitol)
4. antibodies (serological diagnostics)

and that none of them can be made at home by ourselves.

Just my 2 lipe (1/100 of Croatian currency 'kuna')

Thank you very much for this article msasa!

btw, I read that you take melatonin, please could you tell me where did you get melatonin?
I couldn,t find it here in Croatia.

Thanks.

Hmm, I don't take melatonin... At least not that I'm aware of it.

Maybe you're thinking about Regulattor (he's also from Croatia), he posted recently that he's been taking melatonin.

Yeah, and often when I am lying in my bed it's just like you described, some kind of weird transparent, wavy white fire like tongues and sparks, flying and zigzagging above me. I was thinking so far, that this can be mild hallucination, due melatonin intake prior to my sleep, but that's just guessing.

Yes, mistake, sorry for noise!

Thanks Saša it's excellent article, photo of the Infection of the skin by Candida albicans (cutaneous candidiasis) was pretty nasty......., up to now I was following thread about Silent Epidemic-Candida on http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=9796.0, including diet and detox, still on detox after 172 days.

Related to candida test; as much I understood candida tests can't be done at home (saliva test is inaccurate and scientifically unexplained as I found out today) but survey or questionnaire can be done everywhere, whole post about survey is on: http://www.cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php?topic=9796.105, actually I did it today, and having 55 points, pretty low for female but I have no craving for sugar and for now doing just fine without it (except fresh berries fructose in my breakfast ULTRASHAKE) ;).

Thanks for the pdf, going to print it, my cousin is thinking to do anti candida diet because had Tinea (Pityriasis) infection last year (working always in wet suite 24/7 as diver, just perfect for yeasts infections) and this article could assist him with additional info ;D

Unfortunately you can't buy melatonin over the counter in Croatia, because it is hormone, so you must have prescription to buy it. However there are some other "legal" supplements containing significant amounts of melatonin on market. If you are interested I'm gonna say it just feverfew (povratić). Google will do the rest. ;D

Just wanted to quickly post to say that having started the diet last week (not doing the shakes or broths yet, just the basic meals) I'm feeling a hundred times better than I have done in ages.
Did have a slight set back yesterday.....seems I can't tolerate olive oil! I couldn't think well and was in pain after smothering my food in the stuff  Well drat.

Ahh, sorry to hear that. Here's hoping for ghee or coconut oil. :flowers:

I wouldn't write olive oil off yet, RedFox. My understanding of sensitivities is that it's normally the proteins that people are reacting to, not the fats. I suppose there are probably some proteins left in the olive oil, depending on how well it's filtered, but I wonder if you're actually reacting to the oil itself or protein impurities. It might be worth another try later on down the road, possibly with a different, better filtered brand. Not that you want to force the issue, mind you, but olive oil is a really great source of monounsaturated fats.

Others will correct me on this if I'm wrong on this, I'm sure.

FWIW

That's true, I did recently switch to less filtered olive oil too.....hmm
The only difference to the meal I ate tonight is that the turkey was steamed in its own juices (before it was fried in olive oil with turmeric on).....but the pain I got was identical to what I was experiencing was the same that showed up a while after upping my levels of olive oil/food in general.
I was getting similar pain when eating the buckwheat pancakes for most meals (either cooked in ghee or olive oil, I tried grape seed oil and that was way worse pain).
Obviousely I will test all these things.

RedFox,

You may have posted on this before, but have you had your gallbladder removed? The reason I ask is that people who have had their gallbladders removed have a problem digesting fats and sometimes get stomach pains after eating due to the lack of sufficient quantities of bile. Bile supplements would be helpful in this case. If you still have your gallbladder perhaps you have a stone, or several stones, that are blocking the duct?

My two cents but perhaps something for you to consider if this has not been ruled out already.

I haven't had my gall bladder removed, I did post about pain in that area on eating a more fatty diet so it is possible I have a blockage....although I had thought that if it was blocked I had removed the blockage. I am taking digestive enzymes with my meals which do have ox bile in. It could be my intestine is still inflamed which has closed up the bile duct?

Some signs that you could have bile duct blockage.

From Hulda Clark's Cure For All Diseases:

Do your stools float? Are your stools light colored, yellow or orange instead of dark brown? She suggests doing a parasite cleanse before doing a liver/gallbladder cleanse as parasites can collect in the stones.

Did you follow any specific protocol to remove the blockage?

My stools use to be like that until doing a colon cleanse.....I haven't had any of those symptoms for a while now, but I did use to get them every so often.
I put the idea of doing a parasite cleanse to the back of my mind simply because some of the ingredients seem pretty harsh.....although I did get them all before finding out more about them a few years back. I will look into this more later.

As to possibly clearing my bile duct.... I posted about it here:

RedFox said:
What seemed to finally sort it out was taking 2 capsules of slippery elm (to calm the guts)..DMSO may have the same calming effect, 2000mg of vitamin C, 400mg of magnesium (it relaxes/opens the bile duct), zinc (can't remember the exact quantity but double the EU RDA, good for calming/healing external skin problems so figured it'd work on the intestine), 2 milk thistle capsules (good for the liver), 2 flaxseed oil capsules and 6 fish oil capsules.....all just before breakfast.
I then had my pancakes (highly fatty food - although I'm not sure this is a good idea for you) and twenty minutes later (and a little massaging of my right side) I had the sensation of everything unblocking the pressure/pain suddenly being relieved.

All the protocols I've seen about bile duct/liver cleanses usually involve fasting and then drinking a large quantity of oil etc.....again this really hasn't appealed to me, and if I am sensitive to olive oil it'd probably be a bad idea to do......so I'm a little stumped on that.
It could be I have leaky guts and the olive oil is causing inflammation by leaking into my system?
Any suggestions would be great, will keep reading/researching and try some things out to see what works.

Thanks for your help :)
