This is getting some attention on reddit:

_http://np.reddit.com/r/astrophotography/comments/2jglxm/can_you_help_me_identify_what_i_captured_here/

Originally titled "can you help me identify what i captured here", it was reposted with the title "Redditor photographs a bolide fireball, a rare event that astronomers wait decades to capture." to the "bestof" section and is getting a lot of views. It's kind of amusing that in the comments people are claiming the supposed rarity of these events yet a lot of people are saying things along the lines of "I had no idea these were so rare, I've definitely seen these recently."

Didn't see this on the sott fireball section, so thought I would link to it here for anyone cataloging these events.

Here's the timelapse video of the frames the photographer got: _https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZXqmPhd8AQ
