(I don't know if they're already on the forum. I have not found them).

An interesting Jan Kounen's documentary of shamanism and ayahuasca ; OTHER WORLDS:

And the movie BLUEBERRY with ayahuasca visions too in this extract:

The main character spends time with American Indian and tries to prevent treasure hunters desecrate their sacred land.
He was introduced to the world of Indian and inner world.

Hi Trytofly,
I've seen the movie and the "documentary" years ago. Shamanism as practiced today can be a useful psychotherapy, depending on the skills of the healer. However, hallucinogenic Shamanism, as a degenerate form from more ancient practices, is different from the kind of "Shamanism" we try to achieve here, which is of more "spiritual" nature.
You may be interested in reading a few threads on this subject in the forum, for example here: http://cassiopaea.org/forum/index.php/topic,817.0.html and also the "Secret History of the World" book, which contains some substantial background as well.
Happy reading :)

Thanks mkrnhr for the link. ;)
I already knew the book, but the link is very interesting, although I have not read everything yet.

"What I am trying to show here are the experiences of natural shamanism that is NOT related to being in a "trance" and which manifests almost continuously in daily life. A shaman who has to take a drug to access other realities IS NOT A SHAMAN. " _Laura

"we need to keep working on ourselves with the indispensable assistance and eyes of the group, we need each other." _Ana
