What are you listening to?

Wow, there are so many ways to connect on this forum and this is one of the coolest I think. Just find some music and share it. I love you guys! Comment if you like or just listen. We don't have to make it "rocket science" but if we find something to say that expands our learning or understanding I think that's OK too. I have an eclectic feeling for music. I like a lot of different types and this topic proves we all have found unique and beautiful or at least interesting music from the earthly cultural creations out there.

"YEAR OF THE KNIFE" Santeria

Ominous portent? the Fusion of the Gods video was very interesting too. A lot of blending of concepts but kind of scary too (for me anyway). The history was interesting from their point of view. Makes me think so I guess for that I thank you.

My favorite song this year ! (so far) :)

At 74 yrs old this Buffy Ste Marie is amazing.

Buffy Sainte-Marie - Sing Our Own Song (Power In The Blood 2015)

Through Time / Róisín Murphy

Now the time has elapsed
It inevitably has come to pass
That I write for you at last
A song a rhyme

Oh to tell you the truth of it
I'm a little confused myself
Is it through memory's rose tinted glass
I have come to ask
Or is it a love that was meant to last
Through time itself

Proving us wrong all along
Shouldn't we be holding on
It's a silly thing really
That you shouldn't believe in
Nothing too complicated
Endlessly formulated
Foolish romantic ideals of love

Could there be such a thing
How could there be such a thing
As beautifully flawed
We'll make mistakes and then
Life is the art of learning to live with it
Through time

Thought you knew it
All along
You who are wiser than I
See it coming
See it coming
See it coming
Every time

How did you predict
The end of the world
When you can't see beyond
The end of your nose
Would you look at the life I chose
Baby it's you I need to tell it to
Maybe no other will ever do
Through time

Shouldn't we be holding on
Shouldn't we be holding on
(Baby no other would ever)
(Baby no other would ever do)

(Do)

Proving us wrong all along

Ideals of love
Fooling romantic
Ideals of love

Could there be such a thing
Could there be such a thing

Beautifully flawed
Ideals of love

Mark Masri | It Must Have Been Love | PBS Clip

It's like Mark more fully expressed the beauty that still lurked inside Roxette's song.

Luar na Lubre highlights the Galician culture with traditional subjects, but also remain outside influences Celtic countries such as Ireland , Scotland or Britain , as well as a close relationship with Portuguese music

In line with Pierres recent articles also talking about the nuclear unit of family here is an appropriate song. It is a juxtaposition really. It is a bright modern electronic mix with a woman's vocal singing about families on top of a video that looks old and traditional.
