Just lovely...
Beautiful! :wow: A little background: _http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/entertainment/news/a48244/schoolgirl-christmas-concert-singing-ireland/
This schoolgirl moved the audience to tears at a Christmas concert Remember when Love Actually's singing sensation Joanne took centre stage at her school Christmas concert? A church in Northern Ireland experienced a similar joyful moment, when 10-year-old Kaylee Rogers was asked to sing a version of Leonard Cohen's 'Hallelujah.' Rogers, who has learning difficulties, moved the audience to tears when video footage of her leading the choir at Killard House School in Donaghadee was shown in a church, Belfast Live reports. "Kaylee was supposed to perform at a carol service at First Newtownards Presbyterian church at the weekend but was unfortunately ill," her headteacher Colin Millar explained. "We showed the video of her singing instead and it's fair to say there wasn't a dry eye in the house." According to Mr Millar, Kaylee is normally very shy, but that didn't get in the way of her powerful performance. She's also become an internet star, thanks to the footage of her singing going viral. Since it was shared on Facebook, the video has been viewed over 178,000 times. Millar said Kaylee had "the voice of an angel," but he added that he was proud of all his students. "The whole production of Hallelujah is really beautiful and it's just brilliant that these children, many of whom have learning difficulties and other issues, are bringing joy to other people with their singing." True Christmas spirit.
It was a very moving performance for me and to think that the choir behind her also had some learning difficulties makes it even more extraordinary. It's nice to have a bright spot here and there. :halo:

I have a nephew with autism, and whenever he listens to music he starts dancing and smiling, I remember 3 years ago I spent my christmas with them, and he got a set to play like a DJ hehe, and he was so very happy with it :D

It makes me think of this video that I saw a while ago. A father takes his autistic son to a Coldplay concert (his favourite band, apparently), and the child is overwhelmed with emotion and starts crying (I guess he's so happy!). It's very moving.

Yes! I saw it too, and I thought it was a very nice bonding experience for them. Also I think the colours and the show in particular may have stimulated more his senses, it was here in Mexico, and the clips I saw from the show in general were filled with colour and visuals. It was very touching to see

Russian Folk Music That Will Make You Thrill :)

https://youtu.be/V8slArpj_XU

“Beyond The Quiet River”

Beyond the quiet river and birch grove
The first spring flower is bursting into bloom
And I am simply making a wish
And having crossed myself, I will glance to the East
The sky will be coloured (lit: colour itself) by scarlet dawn
And the eternal sun will rise over the world
And a white bird will fly over the earth
And bring God’s forgiveness from the heavens

And something big will make itself known to my heart
Such that it is not [possible] to take in in my lifetime
And it will become peaceful and sweet like in childhood
When my mother hugged me

A solemn prayer will flow with tears
Sadness will be filled with Christ’s love
And at that moment my soul will touch
The grand entirety with the name of Russia

In their memory, re-posting two of my favorite interprations. I've listened to them multiple times.

Ensemble Alexandrov (Red Army Choir) at the invitation of Pope John Paul II gave an exclusive concert in the Vatican (October 15, 2004).

I usually listen to Ivan Rebroff's version of the song of the Volga boatmen because he has an outworldly voice. I found however this version from apparently the Alexandrov choir, no information on when it was recorded:
