Thanks for the 10 hours long version of Weightless !

There was this release on Sott about this song, and there is a list :
https://www.sott.net/article/338304-Researchers-discover-the-most-relaxing-song-on-Earth

"We Can Fly," by Rue du Soleil (Café Del Mar)
"Canzonetta Sull'aria," by Mozart
"Someone Like You," by Adele
"Pure Shores," by All Saints
"Please Don't Go," by Barcelona
"Strawberry Swing," by Coldplay
"Watermark," by Enya
"Mellomaniac (Chill Out Mix)," by DJ Shah
"Electra," by Airstream
"Weightless," by Marconi Union

My preferred, is classical music Mozart/Vivaldi... But one COULD have the same relaxed state with EVERY song, if one care about the soul and not the body :P.

no worries, thanks for the sott link, don't know how I missed that one, will give them a listen now :cool2:

I put them on my playlist, as well as the 10h version of Weightless. :)

Another suggestion I'd like to add to that list: a wonderful musician I discovered several years ago on a "Desert Lounge" (chill out Arabic/middle-eastern music) compilation:

Ömer Faruk Tekbilek (born 1951, Adana, Turkey), also known as Omar Faruk Tekbilek, is a Turkish musician and composer, who plays a wide range of wind, string, percussion and electronic instruments. He has developed a style that builds on traditional Sufi music, but includes inspiration from ambient electronic musicians, most notably Brian Keane. He is best known for his performances with the flute-like ney, but also plays the piccolo-like kaval, and the double-reed zurna. Among stringed instruments, he plays the oud and the bağlama. He also sings in many of his recorded works.

3 of my favourite tracks:

Thanks for sharing this song, Marina9. It's very lovely indeed! :flowers:

It reminds me of the Russian "Hallelujah" song. There's a famous Soviet musical Juno and Avos where one of the major themes is the song "Hallelujah to Love". I couldn't find a decent translation of it into English, but it starts with:

"Residents of the twentieth century
Your century is drawing to its close
Is it not the time to answer
Why peoples cannot live in agreement?"

Here is the version of this song by the children of the famous Russian music group Neposedy performed in Murom city at the festival devoted to the Peter and Fevronia Day also known as the Day of Family, Love and Faithfulness.

To relax I like seeing in my mind some beautiful landscape or scenes from nature, but I realized that it missed the sound ! So listening some peaceful songs IN the body make me all electromagnically cheerful, I tried it with the song of Gurdjieff but seeing a real sunset or sundawn make a more prominent "electro singing effect" in the body. I think you know that you guys who practice yoga "sun salutation" !

As I saw your post Marina, I think about what the C's says about analogic (3D)/numeric(4D) music to convey teachings from different densities, and I remembered some electro guitar guys fond of classical music I share here :

This one might be known by you and a little too chaotic, but the second is very harmonic :

Back the time I was learning to recognize songs and their title and author on Memrize, I collect a playlist of well-known classical music : _https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRlYuSu-3hxNvINu1-gw3oYNr4OAVPaC-
If you guys also want to share your playlist, my name is linked to the playlist.

Edit : last line sharing.

The Russian "Hallelujah" needs no translation. That was awesome! :O

I was listening the Donnie Darko' s movie soundtrack , it's one of my favorite films undoubtedly and one of the rarest ones I've seen too;
This song is beautiful, although very sad too, and very suitable for our world today, I leave the lyrics. I hope you enjoy it!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v52Igdotisk

"All around me are familiar faces
Worn out places, worn out faces
Bright and early for their daily races
Going nowhere, going nowhere
Their tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I want to drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
mad world mad world

Children waiting for the day they feel good
Happy birthday, happy birthday
Made to feel the way that every child should
Sit and listen, sit and listen
Went to school and I was very nervous
No one knew me, no one knew me
Hello teacher tell me what's my lesson
Look right through me, look right through me

And I find it kinda funny, I find it kinda sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you, I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very very
Mad world, world
Enlarge your world
Mad world"

thanks for sharing PerfectCircle, has a real movie soundtrack feel, I found myself picturing ancient ruins, and the hero's journey toward them :)

Speaking of movie soundtracks, below is Ennio Morricone - The Mission, He is IMO one of the best composers for film.

I also came across this recently, CHOIR sings OM SO HUM Mantra, which reminds me of when I was in Myanmar

Zak, Pink Floyd so creative I think…especially liked ON THE TURNING AWAY

Lavinia_Sofia, Donnie Darko’s soundtrack…kind of sad and beautiful too, but “all there is is lessons” and we have each other here. Neat video too.

987bas, Keith Urban’s 2016 Artists Tribute…I think he’s even better on acoustic and yes, we lost some great musicians last year.

Blue lamp, Regina is such a talent I think. Kind of classical and contemporary at the same time. The
words give “hope” I think “No need to say goodbye”.

PerfectCircle, Amethstium - Odyssey does have that movie soundtrack feel to me. Looks like Petra in the background. Middle East or Indian/vedic flavor too I think. Thanks.

987bas, OM SO HUM…Hm, hm, hm…makes me want to visit Myanmar. Still listening…

I was just behind on listening and liked everything I missed. You guys give so much new music to like.

What am I listening to? As much as I can here.

I can’t think of anything myself right now but maybe later. Thanks to all of you. :hug2:

Way back from 1970. Ariana Grande never had a chance.

American woman, stay away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Don't come a hangin' around my door
I don't want to see your face no more
I got more important things to do
Than spend my time growin' old with you
Now woman, I said stay away
American woman, listen what I say-ay-ay-ay-ay-ay

American woman, get away from me
American woman, mama let me be
Don't come a knockin' around my door
Don't want to see your shadow no more
Colored lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
Now woman, I said get away
American woman, listen what I say-ay-ay-ay

American woman, said get away
American woman, listen what I say
Don't come a hangin' around my door
Don't want to see your face no more
I don't need your war machines
I don't need your ghetto scenes
Colored lights can hypnotize
Sparkle someone else's eyes
Now woman, get away from me
American woman, mama let me be

Go, gotta get away, gotta get away now go, go, go
I'm gonna leave you woman
Gonna leave you woman
Bye-bye bye-bye, bye-bye, bye-bye
You're no good for me
I'm no good for you
Gonna look you right in the eye
Tell you what I'm gonna do
You know I'm gonna leave
You know I'm gonna go
You know I'm gonna leave
You know I'm gonna go-o, woman
I'm gonna leave you woman
Goodbye American woman
Goodbye American chick
