Although there is a claim from a local university student that he and six of his friends made the circle overnight, to prove that "they are good in Math and Design", I believe he quickly erased his blog from the internet, because the local law enforcement has made a statement that it is a criminal offense to destroy other's crop (rice field), punishable by fine and jail time.
Lo and behold, the next day, a smaller one, not 3 miles away, appeared on another field! The second one is way worse than the first one. This one is not even symmetrical.

I live in Jakarta, quite some distance away, and searching for a more definite way to determine whether the first one is original. Because from the news, it look to have been messed up and I can't really see the rice plants clearly to decide if the bending were destructive or not. A rice field however, sits on top of a watered mud, and if you step on it, muddy water will cover your feet right above your ankle, and thus will make man-made Rice Field Crop Circle twice as hard to create.
I'll fill in asap, and just maybe this will be the first known crop circle in Indonesia, and would certainly like to know from the C's what it meant. By the way, not far from the location we have 4 active volcanoes, 2 erupting still, spewing ash, and 2 had died down for now. :(
