Alain Soral, Stéphane Edouard, Maurice and Alex Hitchens: Similitudes.

The Living Force
Maurice is a French journalist. He worked on mainstream radios, then created a show called Maurice Radio Libre, performed first on a mainstream radio. When he was asked to modified is show if he wanted to continue to perform it on that radio he tried a few things more independentely and ended performing his show on its own. The show is now financed pretty much only by donations from listeners. 25 years later or so his webradio is stiil alive with pretty much the same concept.

How he would describe is show:
The "only radionovelas in the world" (FR: Le seul feuilleton radiophonique au monde). The show is played live from monday to friday from 9 pm to pasted midnight. Pretty much everyone is welcome to participate via a chat room, via e-mail and his preferred method, via Skype. They can talk about everything they want.

In a sens you could say he was one of those who created his "community" long before the term started being used in this sens by youtubers et al.

I started listening to him when I was 15 and did it on and off over the years.

How would Alain Soral described is journey:
He had rough parents. He went away from home at 17 without baccalaureate (aka A Levels, aka high school diploma). He enjoyed drawing. To be able to get access to social security he did apply and pass two competitive exam. So he went to art school and to another school at the same time. He wasn't impressed with their art teaching technics but was interested in art history. This openned him to the world of ideas which he expanded on his own by reading philosophers and other thinkers.

To make a living while being able to spend some time to read he became a pick up artist. He made some money as a freelance journalist, a model, an onlooker.

In the clubs of the time he would spend time with renown artist, journalist, etc.

He wrote is first book about fashion movements. Another one from his experience as a pick up artist, with a sociologist approach.

He was also a model, an onlooker, once an actor. He found a producer and made a movie, wrote it, directed it, mounted it, etc. The major part he couldn't do himself was the photography aspect.

In many aspect he realised he was a sort of outcast. He wasn't allowed to have his books publish by the university because they asked for corpus that didn't exist. his movie was unfairly criticised by people that didn't see it, etc.

To be able to write other books with the same kind of approach he went on to study politics from the inside and so join a communist party and then, following the voter base join an "alt right" party.

Over the years he was often invited in divers TV shows, always to play the devil's part. He generaly accepted the invitation knowing it would increase is visibility.

He was portrayed more and more as the devil incarnate by the mainstream media and wasn't invited anymore. I'm not sure about the chronology here but he accepted pretty much any invitation from other media, web radios, ect and started is own YT channel.

I started watching is videos probably a few years after he started to make them.

He created an association to share is view and the view of others who would join him. He would get rid of the trouble makers most of which would then start to accuse him of fraud and the like and start there business, community or whatever on their own.

He is now also a publisher

Stéphane Edouard is seen by some as a "son of Soral". All I know is he was a main figure in a TV show. He present himself as a coach in relationship who mainly sales course packages. He seems like e knowlegable guy. His website look pretty serious at a glance. It include a forum. In a nutshell if there is such a thing as such in the personnal development world it would seems like the real deal.

Now. We should soon goes to the similitudes and to who is that last guy. But, I have created this thread in the What's On Your Mind section.

So, here is what happened:
As I have alluded to I have been listening to Maurice Radio Libre on and off for 30 years. I was pretty soon puzzled by the guy. The basic question was: is he good or bad ?

At 15 that's the dumb guy asking, and on top of that the screen addict, to keep it simple. And I like to think I have improved a bit. But, pretty slow learner, eh! With some exaggeration I could have named this thread 30 Years For A Single Thought!

At 30 Soral appears. And the same question arise. With Maurice, in my mind, it's more like half bad/half good. With Soral, I'm on my guard but the more I listen the more I think: pretty good, eh!

Later, I don't know when, Stéphane Edouard appears, I listen to him here and there.

A few days ago I stumble upon the last guy.

How Alex Hitchens (aka The French Hitch, for his aficionados: The king of the north) represent himself:

A 24 years guy, was a basket ball player, stopped playing, went into entrepreneurship two years ago. Makes videos on YT, lives on Tik Tok and YT, is on Instagram to promote his coaching methods about seduction and about making money. Went from 0 € income to... 200 000 € a month! today. Now also managed Onlyfans girls and his next goal is to make 500 000 € a month.

Yeah...

So I watch his three last YT lives, and a few others bits here and there. In one video he watch another streamer denouncing him where and comment. He admits that only 1 or 2% of people buying is courses will make the effort and so get the benefits he advertise.

If this one is not a con artist I don't know what it is.

So, here is my thinking:
I'm not going to investigate more but I can assume that this last guy learned about the "YT game". Managed to get some attention, invent a story where he is first a good pick up artist and if you want to know his secret you can buy is course and then he adds the successful entrepreneurship story to the mix, etc.

So, this one is pretty obvious and most common sense people that happens to stumble on one of his videos will run away. On the other side will be the more gullible that will end up wasting their money and may learn a lesson the hard way. Some will disagree with his anti-feminist stance or something and driven by their emotions will come to say it to his face enabling is aficionados to have some fun seeing them being ridiculed. And the show will go on.

The question is: are the three others some more elaborate con artist ?

Alex Hitchens can be seen as the lower-end Stéphane Edouard. Imitating him, with much less knowledge. Less palatable videos. More quantity. The fast food version, you might say.

So, basically Stephane Edouard did put on more work, is providing better tools to his clients. So we could say he's earn is money much more honestly.

Maurice provide something interesting. He is permitting people so different that say would not talk to each other anywhere else in society. That's a tool you can use to learn to argue. He also as choose to make it free so has everyone can access it all. Those who can are ask for donation.

Alex Hitchens can also be seen as an ersatz of Maurice in the way he don't allow a caller to talks. Maurice as better reason to do it. Realising that lots of people could not have a normal comvesation anymore he was the first in French radio history to have a button to shut the voice of a caller. Fair enough, let's say.

The other similitude is their debate skills that they use to win an argument against less skilled people.

which bring us to Soral. When I watch him in any debate or conversation he is, unlike the two others, he is at a disadvantage in some way. He is not playing at home and as far as I can tell is winning it all.

Which bring the question. Is Soral abusing people with his oral skills ? His he just a more elaborate false opposition ?

I have review all the messages on this forum where Soral is talked about and I can't find any good arguments against him.

Reviewing his media appearance I would say that he has pretty good arguments against everything he has been accused of.

Elaborating more would be going far away from the initial question.

Contrary to the other three, Soral seems to be much less interested in improving is standard of living. He actually said, not long ago I think, that he would like, if he could, to build a house or something to be more in line with one's way of living. When the others are more like, I make enough money so I can use the best facilities available on the market.

That's my thoughts for today. I'm not sure it makes that much sense but here it is.
