Inspired by rereading SHOTW I started checking out information about megaliths and megalithic structures on the net. Yesterday I found a IMO pretty decent video of a presentation called: 'MEGALITHOMANIA 2008: David H.Childress - Lost Cities of S. America & the Pacific'

I'm halfway through watching this, and even though it's clear that Childress hasn't got 'the whole banana' what comes tho the origins and reasons for these structures, I'm still enjoying it very much. For an amateur on the subject like me, it's very interesting to see all the images of many all those strange structures around the world, and to get a glossary over the subject. I really can't vouch for the guys integrity(his bio looks a bit suspicious to me), but I think his presentation is worth watching because he has many great images which I haven't seen anywhere before, or didn't know how to look for.

Here's the link: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6461771567792742723#

Here's the description:

Filmed at the Megalithomania Conference,Glastonbury, 17th - 18th May 2008......(Also available on a high-quality DVD from _www.megalithomania.co.uk).....Keynote speaker at the 2008 event, maverick archaeologist and megalith hunter David Hatcher Childress took us on a whirlwind journey in search of ancient sites in South America and the Pacific. Discussing everything from Tiahuanaco in Bolivia to Easter Island to the basalt crystal city of Nan Madol, the real-life Indiana Jones took us to remote areas of the Andes and hard-to-reach Pacific Islands in search of megaliths and lost cities. His style is an entertaining blend of personal experience and well-researched fact, and he presents fascinating information on the advanced technology and anomalous architecture of our predecessors around the globe......David Hatcher Childress, author of over 20 books, has traveled the world several times over, seeking adventure and the answers to the mysteries of mankind’s past. In 1976, David left the United States on what would become a six-year research and adventure odyssey. During this time, he studied first-hand the ancient civilizations of Africa, the Middle East and China, sometimes journeying into dangerous territory along the way (like Uganda during the overthrow of Idi Amin). Further expeditions resulted in Lost Cities and Ancient Mysteries series. He has appeared on Fox-TV’s Sightings and Encounters, two NBC-TV specials, The Conspiracy Zone, and segments for the Discovery Channel, A&E, The Sci-Fi Channel, The Travel Channel and others. He is also a frequent guest on nationally syndicated radio shows. He continues to explore, write and excite people about discovery through his magazine, World Explorer, and his publishing company, Adventures Unlimited

From wikipedia, about Childress:

David Hatcher Childress (born 1957) is an American author and publisher of books on topics in alternative history and historical revisionism. His works cover such subjects as pre-Columbian trans-oceanic contact, Nikola Tesla, the Knights Templar, lost cities and vimana aircraft. Childress claims no academic credentials as a professional archaeologist nor in any other scientific field of study.

Life and career

Born in France, and raised in Colorado, Childress began travelling at 19 in pursuit of archaeological interests. He moved in 1983 to Stelle, Illinois, a community founded by New Age writer Richard Kieninger. He had been given a book by Kieninger while touring Africa. Childress chronicled his explorations in his Lost Cities and Ancient Mysteries series of books, influenced by Kieninger's ideas . While in Stelle, Childress began publishing his own works and then those of other authors, presenting fringe-scientific theories regarding ancient civilizations and little-known technologies. He also established a travel business in partnership with Kieninger. In 1991, in nearby Kempton, Illinois, Childress, along with historian and linguist Carl W. Hart, founded the World Explorers Club, which travels to places he writes about, and a magazine, World Explorer.

Childress has appeared on NBC (The Mysterious Origins of Man), Fox Network (Sightings and Encounters), Discovery Channel, A&E, and The History Channel (e.g. Ancient Aliens), to comment on subjects such as the Bermuda Triangle, Atlantis, and UFOs. He has been involved in two lawsuits regarding publishing. One failed after expiry of a statute of limitations and the other, involving publication of a master's thesis without permission, was settled out of court.

I found two fascinating video compilations.

Great vids Pashalis,

The sheer size of those blocks in Egypt are truly spectacular, it is hard to wrap ones head around there great bulk.

Megalithic building seems to have been a truly worldwide phenomenon, we have:
Senegal - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9o7S0l7Q76w&feature=related
Gambia - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JDSNjL-nJ-g&feature=related

If Atlantis really existed as an island continent in the Atlantic, then it would make sense that the greatest chance of finding residual traces of such a civilization would be in a ring around the coasts of the continents that border the Atlantic today, osit.

Newly found megalithic ruins in Russia contain the largest blocks of stone ever discovered A map of where Gornaya Shoria is located _http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%93%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%BD%D0%B0%D1%8F_%D0%A8%D0%BE%D1%80%D0%B8%D1%8F

Here is a youtube about the place with only a little Russian text, but the pictures show the area with only music added: _https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXeuTK2fhwI This has got stills with moving zoom in, zoom out frames and nice music. In the beginning thee is a short text and at the end there is a link to http://vzv.by/ It is a Russian site and the author was apparently having a lot of courtcases to stop his Work.

Apparently there are other old unknown structures in Russia. In a lecture in Russian one researcher he shows some examples: _https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GkVsAnBr1yI The pictures are not hd at all, looks like those taken with old mobile phones, but there is enough to be convincing and. He shows how they went to a place where an underground town was roumored to exist and with the help of some local person they found something that could be an entrance which they dug out and found their way to a huge construction.

I guess this SOTT article talks about the same Super Megaliths?

http://www.sott.net/article/275424-Newly-found-megalithic-ruins-in-Russia-contain-the-largest-blocks-of-stone-ever-discovered

There are no measurements given, but from the scale depicted by the human figures, these megaliths are much larger (as much as 2 to 3 times larger) than the largest known megaliths in the world. (Example: The Pregnant Woman Stone of Baalbek, Lebanon weighs in at approximately 1,260 ton). Some of these megaliths could easily weigh upwards of 3,000 to 4,000 tons.

I am neither geologist nor archaeologist, but IMHO these are not megaliths (not the artificial ones I mean). Let me briefly explain why I think so.

First of all, Kemerovo Region aka Kuzbass is the place where I was born and grew up, so I am familiar with its historical, geological and ethnographically records to some extent. Kuzbass is a coal mining industry region, which implies that geological exploration is among its highest priorities.

The population of Mezhdurechensk town (in which surroundings these 'megaliths' are located) is about 100,000 people.

So how could that happen that these huge stones were never studied before? Especially considering the fact that these 'megaliths' are located near the geologists' village..

It should be also mentioned that this news is only published in the MK newspaper (someone has already mentioned not so long ago that this media source is not among the most reliable in Russia). Why would all other media be silent if there is such a significant finding?

Another interesting thing is the current economic policy of Kuzbass. Coal mining is getting hard to manage because they have to dig deeper and deeper each year which is dangerous and expensive, and the cost of coal transportation also grows faster. One of the ways to diversify the region's economy is.. tourism. The Governor of Kuzbass, Mr. Aman Touleyev, is a smart and effective manager. He has been successfully developing tourism in the region for many years. The main attractions of the region include: an open-air museum of petroglyphs Tomskaya Pisanitsa dating from 4-1 ths years BC and Gornaya Shoria ski resort. Some years ago he also promoted a hunt for a.. Sasquatch. Now it is considered to be a symbol of the region :)

So these 'megaliths' were found quite in season, so to speak.

As for the seemingly regular shape of the stones, here is an article in Wikipedia which might help to explain the phenomenon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joint_(geology).

I wish I was wrong, but I'm afraid that this is the case. But if you guys would like to explore it further, you are most welcome to my homeland! I wish you good luck in your efforts anyway :)

Amazing Megalithic Site in Russia

Wish granted!
http://englishrussia.com/2014/03/06/huge-mysterious-megaliths/

Notice this curious part:

Who created them and what for? It does not seem that they could be created by nature. Besides, according to the traces preserved until today, these structures were destroyed by a terribly powerful explosion. It could have been a catastrophic earthquake or a strike of a space meteorite…

Good article for SOTT too.

Re: Amazing Megalithic Site in Russia

Hi, Laura:

When I visited the website from your link, I noticed a little British flag icon in the upper right corner that translated the text into (badly translated) English.

Re: Amazing Megalithic Site in Russia

"Another possible explanation is that the stones could have formed as a result of geological processes caused by strong weathering of the Mountain Shoriya rocks."

It's amazing the lengths people will go to in denying the evidence.

Re: Amazing Megalithic Site in Russia

Wow! those photos are just incredible!!! :)

Before I found the English translation button on that webpage, I translated one of the Russian comments, which seemed to suggest they were sited in an area "15 km from Belokurikha (Altay territory)", where there have been 'light beams' such as the "Belokurikha flame".

Such phenomena has been researched in this paper "PLANETOPHYSICAL FUNCTION OF VACUUM DOMAINS", which appears to corroborate the EM nature of various earth change manifestations (hurricanes, earthquakes etc) and ball lightning, strange lights etc, which the Cs often mention.

The Russian authors from Gorno-Altaisk state University, have developed a model of united electrogravidynamics based on the Maxwell's electrodynamics and Heaviside's (Minkovski's, Poincare's) gravidynamics. The model introduces a new object of study --- a vacuum domain.

Vacuum domains in the model possess a set of specific features which include penetration through any kind of matter, where the VD's introduce the electric, magnetic, gravitational, spin fields and the distributed angular momentum. Inside the VDs penetrating gravispin waves (gravitons) are transformed into the electromagnetic waves (photons) To all the Earth shells from magnetosphere to mantle the VDs bring electric circuits and discharges, magnetic variations and pulses, mechanical stresses and changes in the velocity and intensity of chemical reactions in atmosphere, heliosphere and lithosphere: all these phenomena being unexplainable by classic theories.. VDs are localized in lithosphere in the conductive and elastic media, where they may produce pulsed heat release ( such as " contact heat explosions" forming kimberlite pipes) and produce enormous torsion stress affecting the nature of tectonophysical processes and the seismic regime of the Earth.

VDs are identified with manifold natural self-luminous objects of different kinds, such as ball lightnings, "plasmoids", poltergeist, tornadoes, "angels", "small comets or atmospheric holes", ionosphere and atmospheric explosions, lithosphere explosion tubes, "sprites", the glows connected with the earthquakes and the volcanic eruptions. That's why the study of natural self-luminous formations provide the experimental foundation for the development of physical and mathematical model of non-homogeneous physical vacuum and vacuum domains.
