I'm not really sure if this would be included in discussions about telepathy, as it seems to be a one way street, but I've heard someone's thoughts on three (possibly four) separate occasions, and am wondering if anyone else has experienced this.

When I was younger, my sister and I were into the occasional experimentation with psychedelics, so the first two instances came with that- which isn't exactly the noble way of doing things, but it makes sense I suppose. The first time, I was walking downstairs to the computer room where she was, and I very clearly heard her yell my name. When I opened the door and asked her why she was calling, she was very confused and told me she didn't say anything, but was thinking my name because she wanted to show me something.

The second time, I was in the bathroom, and heard what sounded like someone trying to talk to me through the door. It was very muffled so I couldn't understand what was being said, but it was distinctly her voice. Again, she was on the first floor and confirmed she was thinking about telling me something.

The third and last time was about three years ago, but it was much of the same, only this time with my boyfriend who was thinking about telling me about a class he was taking while I was in the other room.

There was one other instance which I can't confirm, but I'll throw it in here anyway, because it bothered me so much. I'm not even really sure of the timeframe, it may be the first. My family wasn't home one evening, and I was in my room reading or something. It was spring or summer, because my window was open, and I heard a deep voice speaking. It sounded so close, so I assumed there was a man right outside of my window. No one was home, so I was freaked out about that prospect. I immediately turned my bedroom light out and looked out the window, but there was nothing there. Freaked out even more because of that, I crawled into the hallway where there weren't any windows, and I heard something mechanical like a chainsaw, and a high-pitched scream, and then the man voice laughing. I know it sounds like a ridiculously cheesy horror flick, but it was so loud and I was genuinely scared, and could not sleep that night.

They're so random that I don't really realize what's going on until afterwards. Then looking back on them, I can tell it wasn't with my ears that I was hearing these things. I'm never able to make the words out clearly (except the first time with my name). The things I hear are never terribly important, they're seemingly random because I don't try to induce it (partly because I feel like an intruder, as interesting as I think it is), and I'm not in any specific state of mind as far as I can tell. Now that I look like a possible schizophrenic, anyone else?

Hi PullinPins - a very interesting story, indeed. Well, maybe you look like a schizophrenic and maybe you don't. Sounds to me like you may be a sensitive at the very least...

The "house of horrors" sounds could have been many things. A hallucination, a TV next door, a prank - a psychic impression. But, based on your other posts so far, I am a little disturbed by this resonance with dark energies.

Have you been doing EE or POTS at least? Any strange men in your life at the moment?
No need to answer if this is too probing...

BTW, how did you choose your forum name?

:)

Hi Adam, and thanks for replying!

Eek, I guess you're right about my posts so far. I didn't think about the impression that would give, I just didn't know where to start, and figured the strange nuances in my life would do. The "dark energy" stuff pretty much ends here, I'm afraid :)

But, in an answer to your question, I just recently discovered EE, and haven't exactly been very diligent. I'm trying to find a good place to fit it in to my days. There aren't any particularly strange men in my life, but then I'm not really sure what you mean by "strange?"

My name comes from the song "Split Needles" by The Shins. There's a line that says "This is what you get for pulling pins out of the hole, inside the hole you're in." I get the impression that the song is about finding yourself in a bad place in life, and realizing that the way you've been living isn't doing you any good. So, you pull pins- challenge everything, and it takes you on a wild ride. Of course, I may be wrong, but that's where I am right now, trying to pull some pins.

I hope you can make EE and participation on the forum a regular part of your life, fwiw. I think you are in the right place. IMO. Knowledge protects.

...anyone else?

Very rarely (like 3 times in my entire life) and only from someone I was highly in tune with. Mostly I'm visual oriented and occasionally I'll "think" (meaning have a visual) of something totally unrelated to my current mental activity and then someone will begin expressing that very thought (usually my wife or someone I'm in communication with or in close proximity to).

Me too. On a few occasions. I am, however, sure it has nothing to with schizophrenia. The information I received was extremely helpful.

(I know there could be deception as well, but when I have recognized something as the latter it had a different "feel", and had a different source, as far as I have experienced. Of course, I can't be sure, but there seems to be a really significant difference. Usually I do not hear the information, but have some kind of feeling of the meaning, some kind of gut feeling. The last information received sent me out searching for as much information I can gather about a kind of psychopath. That sent me here, too, at last.)
