Hey guys, i just had a trip to the grocery store and found a cool product. Erewhon brown rice cereal. I just had some with a little rice milk...so yummy.

See, i thought i'd never eat a bowl of cereal again until i found this! It's gluten free, organic, and made from the whole grain, not brown rice flour.

My other issue was that plain old brown rice is just kinda...not my thing, so it seems to be a good way to get the benefits of brown rice, UNLESS

there happens to be something wrong with it which will make me freak out :scared: and toss it in the trash. Oh and i'm also on my 2nd attempt at quitting sugar starting now. :halo:

I've been eating it for a couple months usually with blueberries or strawberries. The type I eat has brown rice syrup and honey in the ingredients, but that's about the only sugar I eat during the day. I haven't found anything particularly bad about it. I also thought cereal went the way of the Dodo. Another brand I eat is Arrowhead Mills Organic Maple Buckwheat Flakes http://www.arrowheadmills.com/product/maple-buckwheat-flakes-cereal

Yeah I thought cereal was out, and I really enjoyed it. But I have been eating brown rice puffs lately, also millet puffs. You need to add xylitol and/or stevia and they are reminiscent of honey smacks cereal. I eat them with homemade rice milk.

I hope I can find Erewhon, buckwheat flakes or something similar! I've looked around, can't find anything. I was giving up on finding a suitable cereal to eat :( but now my hopes have increased :)

So, I am sorry if im a bit slow on the uptake, but my question is do people basically agree that the breakfast idea of brown rice cereal and rice milk is unhealthy for the body?

Is anybody still having this combination (who are maybe b's)

I really cant stomach ham/bacon or eggs for breakfast, or buckwheat (b blood type),
my normal staple of oats are full of gluten / lectin / prolamine, and that leaves beef (again). Chicken makes me sick.

I used to be the same way, hollowed. What my problem was, and this has been the case for others, is a sluggish liver from not eating animal fats for such a long time.

What may help you to be able to "stomach" these things is Dr. Psyche's suggestions for what has helped her on sluggish liver issues.

I also found that taking HCI Betaine has helped me with digestion issues as I'm a type A and seem to be low in hydrochloric acid in my stomach.

What you are eating for breakfast is not what we have evolved for millions of years to eat. That is a totally high-carbohydrate diet.

It would really help you a lot to read the Life Without Bread and The Vegetarian Myth threads. And, also, to get the books. But it is up to you.

I do know that carbohydrates, especially gluten, and then casein as well, are really addictive. But it's your choice, and your health.

Thanks for the reply Nienna
