Bush Ireland interview strange reaction

I watched this video today and at around minute 5:50 Bush is asked the question "Why is it that others don't understand what you are about?"

The video only catches the end of his physical reaction, but you can hear it in the audio.

I found his reaction really strange, kind of like he couldn't compute the question and he almost says "I don't know" before going off again.

I noticed how he kept stopping the reporter with "please let me finish" four or five times during the whole video...as if he had the whole thing planned ("sorry, no interruption please"), imo.

He did said something like, "You ask the question, I'll do my answering" in the beginning.

When he responded to her question with: "I don't know", I was really surprised that she didn't follow up with: "Is it because you are a repulsive and intolerable little fascist creep?"

Really, can't think of any reason why... :-)

For the sake of the Whole Universe, this interview is unbearable!

He was very happy to answer about his "personal relationship with God" though (sic.)

Surely enough, he doesn't like questions at all. I won't be surprised to hear that the interviewer went to a hospital after that one.

I've heard a reporter saying that the more he smiles the worst is going to be expected from him, but that's mainly when he's up for a speech... [grin :-]

RARE BANNED BUSH SPEECH

During this interview, I found GW Bush less stupid than usual.

A couple of times, I found him cunning and smart, though it was sometimes obvious that he was just parroting what had been repeated to him again and again.

He reversed the role very efficiently when the reporter was interrupting him. With a polite tone he was asking for some respect and not being cut.

He also played the compassion game well. He seems so genuine and touched when he says "Nobody is more touched than me by the US soldiers deaths".

Scary...

Maybe this time he wasn't hung over and remembered his script better?

Personally, I don't see a reason why gives interviews. He just repeats the same things every time.

Oh, and when he mentioned Saddam and his weapons, it seemed to me like he almost said weapons of mass destruction.

Other than what has been already mentioned, what struck me was his ability to make his eyes glisten on que. I wonder if they have eye drops they put in politicians eyes to make the light from cameras reflect better and make them look like they are full of "light" and compassion. Interview seemed contrived to say the least.

Here's what worries me: I agree that Bush has been more coherent than usual. I remember some linguist several years ago saying that Bush is coherent when he talks about violence and punishment. When he has to talk about peace or compassion he stumbles. I worried since his last press conference where he was relatively coherent that he has already decided to widen the wars to attack Iran. Hence his coherence. Hope I am wrong.

i just remembered that last week on 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart' they played a clip where bush says:

"The same folks that are bombing innocent people in Iraq are the ones who attacked us on Sept. 11."

i though 'no kidding sherlock'...
sometimes he tells the absolute truth... too bad most people don't have the same set of data as those 'in the know'...
