Circle of Eyes Willing to Learn

I want to share a symbol I came up with a long time ago when I was just starting my search for knowledge. I have always thought of it as a circle of eyes willing to learn. The different eyes at the time signified to me the different moods I would get into and when I started reading about little i's etc on the Signs page back in 2004 I just knew I had to read more. So the eyes now signify to me the little i's looking into the spiral of life to find the real I. This is the only thing I've ever thought I'd like to have as a tattoo.

I would revise it now to have seven i's and the seven colors of the rainbow. Thought I'd share the symbol after finally getting through the newest session and the final design for TFOCM, which is beautiful. Sorry for the quality, technology isn't my strong point.

Considering this interesting "mandala," you might like to read "The Prehsitory of the Mind" by Steven Mithen. It's a pretty good discussion of how the mind works though he fails (IMO) to prove the "evolution of consciousnes," (i.e. that consciousness is a byproduct of evolution). He uses the metaphor of a cathedral with many side chapels of the mind, and a central nave, and how it is necessary for all of these components to communicate with one another.

It's also surprising to read some of the latest from cognitive scientists who are basically saying the same things Gurdjieff said.
