Yeah, and he includes 5 'video reports' from 'Jennifer Zeng' in just that one update about the outbreak. She's the NYC-based Falun Gong anti-China activist I mentioned here.
With Epoch Times and Jennifer Zeng there may be things to learn too. It was by following a link in the thread to the Twitter of Jennifer Tang, I got into deciphering Chinese and reached the latest statistics in Chinese from official news sources, and I also discovered the hashtags #COVID2019 #Coronavirus and #CoronavirusOutbreak that led to other Tweets from other people.

One aspect of this case is that it is a massive demonstration of population control, they put whole cities with millions of people, more than that of many countries, in lockdown. These measures or exercises have military and administrative implications that might well become a subject of intense studies and analysis in certain organisations, academies and institutes across the globe, because if not for the reason of an outbreak of a flu or contagious type of pneumonia, a lockdown may also be tried elsewhere at some stage.

Below, I have taken some screen shots from a few tweets and added comments to explain what could be their significance in relation to the whole situation and connecting to the idea of this happening in another country.
The following could be fake, but could it also be authentic?
1581709156785.png
One comment is that I met a nurse the other day, not in China., who with a slight feeling of shame admitted that although it was was not nice, she had taken one step extra aside when she had visited a public institution a few days earlier and passed by a couple of Chinese, because one wouldn't like to catch this disease in case they were affected. In other words one can blame the guard, but the above reaction is not unrealistic and would not be restricted to China only.

The next shows disinfection efforts, a dose of "round up". Such measure are pretty unthinkable in the West. They would first have to environmental impact study, then they would have to order the disinfectant.
1581710534380.png
The next is incredible, imagine this happening anywhere else: In case the clip goes down it shows a man entering an area, first the temperature is taken, then the old mask is disposed of, then hand disinfectant is applied, then a new mask is put on, then the person signs, then a tag gets attached to his jacket and finally one more hand disinfection.

One comment says:
1581715579768.png
I'm not sure she is right. If the jel is full of alcohol, then sticking fingers in it should not matter, and the scanner is not in contact with the mask, or the person, but I have no qualification to tell for sure. If she is overreacting,

There is also one scary Tweet showing a few Chinese people who intentionally try to spread their own disease. This is a shocking clip, but apparently such people exist and one needs to be aware. I have heard about such before.
But is that more immoral than when the professionals blunder?
1581715399143.png

The next one just shows somd ducks being let loose, while he speaks. It could be fake, but if millions of people are in lockdown, and do not shop much and do not go to work, if the trucks that transport both ducks and their food are not driving, or the drivers are in quarantine, or the food for the ducks is finished, or if the grown up ducks are not taken to the butchers, or if some of the workers on the farm also are not showing up, then what to do? There are farms with tens of thousands of chickens, or thousand and thousands of pigs, or hundreds and hundreds of cows. If there was a major lockdown these farms would suffer, the economy of the farmers would suffer as would the food production, once the lockdown is over. A few days ago, there was another duck farm where many ducks had already starved to death. This is not funny, and it could happen anywhere, and not necessarily because of an epidemic.
1581716478265.png
The farmer is probably doing the right thing, but one has to hope they can't fly, as they are of an "artificial" breed.

Ducks let loose or ducks starved to death, either way they are missing in the shops, if the next Tweet is believable::
1581723790474.png

Again the next is from Jennifer Zeng, and now there are a few options, fake, or not fake, and if not fake then it can be interpreted as propaganda, as she does, or as an administrative policy to ensure the effectiveness of the quarantine measures which is the one I prefer. In the speakers the young people are shouting:

One grain og rice in the basket,
Stay outside of the market,
An onion on the table,
Sit home and be stable.
Two drops of oil in the jar,
Be at exactly where you are.
If you have stored food of any category,
Home is your only territory
Gaining weight is a blessing
Don't be a part of the outside mess
Be together
Love yourselves
I stay home,
Loud and Proud
I am saving masks for my fellow countrymates!

Imagine this happening anywhere else? Below is a scene from the clip.
1581718081026.png
The above has not happened in Europe in recent times. But a similar situation occured, would there be any degree of order after 10 days? Again this may have been a fake performance, staged in Taiwan or Chinatown, if Jennifer Zeng and Epoch Times have an ax to grind, but I don't think it is unrealistic.

If the previous poem was even somewhat realistic then people stay at home, and there is little to eat. In the beginning they were singing "Wuhan you can do it", with a bit of harmony in the voices, and now?
1581724846657.png
Not being certain of what is happening and how to interpret it some people apparently make "irrational moves".
1581725797704.png

Some of the above steps are uniquely Chinese, like the alleged people shouting a poem, or the spraying of people and their office with disinfectant, but most could happen anywhere, like the disruption of the normal flow of the food supply and people loosing emotional stability. And this could happen no matter what the reason was for imposing a lockdown. In many countries, one could suspect that "irrational moves" might set in much earlier, as many Chinese probably have at the very least heard stories of hardship from friends and family of a kind that many people in North America and Western Europe would be unfamiliar with.

There is another angle of looking at the prospects of wanting a regime change in China, although not directly related to the Coronavirus but festers in the background - there are two Countries that will not allow the Catholic Pope to visit - China and Russia. The Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill had a brief meeting with Pope Francis in Cuba in 2016, which was considered "Historic", as for China's Xi, there has been no meeting.

On Feb 12, 2016, Pope Francis and Russian Orthodox Patriarch Kirill met in Havana, Cuba on neutral ground.

On March 14, 2019, China accused Western forces are trying to use Christianity to influence China's society and even "subvert" the government, a senior official said, warning that Chinese Christians needed to follow a Chinese model of the religion.

On March 17, 2019, Senior Vatican sources have said Francis is willing to meet Xi and that intermediaries had made overtures to the Vatican, but the Chinese side had not yet formally asked for a meeting. Any encounter would be the first between a Chinese leader and a pope. Beijing cut diplomatic ties with the Vatican in 1951.

Feb. 14, 2020 - Vatican, China, hold extremely rare high-level diplomatic meeting
The foreign ministers of the Vatican and China
met on Friday, the Vatican said, in what is believed to be the highest-level official encounter between the two sides in decades. The meeting between Archbishop Paul Gallagher and Wang Yi, something unthinkable in the past, took place on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. It said the two sides agreed to continue “institutional, bi-lateral dialogue” aimed at benefiting both the Catholic Church and the Chinese people. If they resume full relations, the Vatican would have to break full relations with Taiwan, which Beijing considers a wayward province. The Vatican is the only state in Europe to still recognize Taipei.

On the other hand, both VP Pence and Pompeo have had private meetings with the Pope in Rome.

Singapore's Prime Minister stated the virus didn't appear to be as deadly as the 2003 SARS and a Senior Chinese Diplomat slams the over-reaction.

Feb. 14, 2020 - Exclusive: Senior China diplomat concedes challenge of coronavirus, slams 'overreaction'

A top Chinese official acknowledged on Friday that the new coronavirus is a deep challenge to the country, but defended Beijing's management of the epidemic while lashing out at the "overreaction" of other countries.

Then there are articles like this one, which sounds like a wild witch hunt ...

Feb. 13, 2020 - Hunt on for 'patient zero' who spread coronavirus globally from Singapore
FILE PHOTO: File picture of the facade of the Grand Hyatt hotel in Singapore February 5, 2020. REUTERS/Tim Chong

But the January sales meeting in a luxury Singapore hotel was far from auspicious.

Someone seated in the room, or in the vicinity of the hotel that is renowned for its central location and a racy nightclub in the basement, was about to take coronavirus global.

Three weeks later, global health authorities are still scrambling to work out who carried the disease into the mundane meeting of a firm selling gas meters, which then spread to five countries from South Korea to Spain, infecting over a dozen people.

Experts say finding this so-called “patient zero” is critical for tracing all those potentially exposed to infection and containing the outbreak, but as time passes, the harder it becomes.

I do have a big problem with the World Health Organization (WHO) - I do NOT trust them. 9 out of 10 reports WHO submits to the media, sound over-blown and exaggerated. It's always the worse case scenario. I sense, they are the main one's behind the hype and confusion - to build up the situation, so that China feels obligated to submit to their demands? WHO might be there to locate and cover up evidence?

Feb 13, 2020 - Coronavirus: Experts fear China reluctant to accept WHO ground mission
Coronavirus: Experts fear China reluctant to accept WHO ground mission

China is dragging its heels in accepting help on the ground from international health specialists, diplomats and experts said on Thursday (Feb 13), noting four days after a World Health Organization (WHO) advance team arrived in Beijing, no details have been released on how and when the full mission will deploy.

China has recorded 48,206 cases of a new coronavirus, now known as SARS-CoV-2, which emerged in a seafood market in the central city of Wuhan in December. The virus has spread to 24 countries, infecting more than 440 people, the WHO says.

Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, WHO director-general, won a pledge from Chinese President Xi Jinping during his trip there two weeks ago that an international team would be able to help investigate the virus' origin and spread.

An "advance team" of three experts, led by Dr Bruce Aylward, a WHO official and public health emergency expert from Canada, as well as WHO's Dr Maria van Kerkhove, arrived in Beijing on Monday.

"Our advance team in China has made good progress in working out the composition of the team and the scope of its work. We hope to have more news to announce soon," Dr Tedros told reporters on Wednesday night.

He has said the full mission would include 10-15 experts, but has given no details of who they would be or when they would go to China.

The death toll in Hubei province, which includes Wuhan, leapt by a record 242 on Thursday to 1,310, with a sharp rise in confirmed cases after the adoption of new methodology for diagnosis, health officials said.

"It would obviously have been better if the (mission) team had arrived without delay," a senior Western diplomat in Geneva told Reuters, though he added they could still do effective work with Chinese colleagues when they arrive.

"It's just been very worrying and troubling and we are not seeing as much of a substantive and independent role that we would expect at this point," he added.

The US Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said on Wednesday it had not yet been invited to send experts to China to assist with the WHO investigation.

"Not only was China very late in inviting international partners to help with the response, but we still only have a skeletal advance team in Beijing, and not Hubei province," professor of global health law Lawrence Gostin of Georgetown Law told Reuters.

Prof Gostin questioned whether Chinese authorities would accept experienced personnel from CDC - thereby setting aside"political and trade differences".

"It appears that China has not accepted the US offer of on the ground CDC experts, which is unfortunate. CDC has among the most experienced first responders," he added.

Prof Gostin voiced doubts that China would allow WHO experts to verify independently crucial information about the epidemic's trajectory.

"Will they have complete access to epidemiologic, virologic real time data? Will they have the freedom to go into homes and communities...? Will they be full partners in surveillance and public health response?" he asked.

Mr Xi said on Tuesday that China's prevention and control work on the new coronavirus is having positive results, and the country will win the battle against the virus, state media reported.

WHO officials have said that Chinese authorities have been open and cooperative, sharing data throughout the outbreak.

The Chinese are impressive in so many ways, they can build things very fast, and are organized, and most our electronics come from them. And it is because they have a strong social fabric. And they can overcome adversity because of it.

But when you start sectioning off their populace with quarantines, that must effect their social sensibilities. All of a sudden they are being separated - the whole is no longer, and leaves them in a isolated feeling as it is a adversity that is scary. So some will get hysterical. And it is striking to us in the West as we are more individualistic. And when we face adversity we tend to pull together. All other times we are individualistic and on our own. So, when the Chinese get hysterical it is because their social fabric and pride is facing a threat that eats at their unity. And that scares them.

So we face a crisis differently, and while we come together, they stand to lose their unity, and that is their weakness, although it is a plague and not humans that shakes their foundations.

So, when we see this hysteria, maybe it is a different type of fear than we suppose.

February 6, 2020 - As Coronavirus Spreads, China’s Military Is Largely MIA
As Coronavirus Spreads, China’s Military Is Largely MIA

The PLA’s anemic participation is odd given its past performance, planning, and pronouncements.

At a moment when hospitals across China are posting cries for supplies on social media, the anemic response by the People’s Liberation Army calls into question some of its most lauded capabilities: powerful logistics and mass military-civil contingency response mobilization.

Because pandemics stretch normal civilian capacity and require rapid response at scale, governments often mobilize military units to help with everything from health and food services to security and construction.

Yet the first group of PLA medical units began to arrive in Wuhan only on Jan. 24, nearly a month after the virus began to spread. They arrived in relatively small numbers: three medical teams were reported to have been sent from Shanghai, Chongqing and Xi’an, totaling 450 personnel. The subsequent lack of any major following deployment was striking, especially as needs ranged from supply to construction, such that regime officials even turned to making false claims of building hospitals in record time.

The PLA’s relative lack of response is even more puzzling given that Wuhan is home to major military units that should be capable of deploying to a contingency. These include the Joint Logistics Support Base [联合保障中心], notionally the center of the PLA Logistic Support Force’s network of warehouses and stockpiles). According to China’s 2019 defense white paper, the PLA Joint Logistic Support Force “comprises the support forces for inventory and warehousing, medical services, transport, force projection, oil pipelines, engineering and construction management, reserve assets management, and procurement.”

The timing was also noteworthy. Despite the base in Wuhan, and theoretically at least, a streamlined ability to flow units into and out of the province, the PLA Logistics Support Force only established a “response and coordination mechanism” on Jan. 26th, almost a month after the virus began to spread and 15 days after it was officially acknowledged. Even then, official reporting on this “mechanism” describes it as offering communications and funding capabilities, rather than distributing stockpiles, delivering aid, or mobilization of hospitals under its management.

The other military services also appear to be largely absent. In recent years, China has produced significant numbers of strategic Y-20 transport aircraft, bragging about the leap forward they offer to China’s ability to deploy at home and abroad, yet these have so far been notably absent from relief efforts. So too, the PLA has also signed strategic agreements with China’s largest transport and delivery services to allow them rapid access in a crisis. For example, the PLA’s largest-ever logistics exercise, held in December 2018, featured mass use of these companies’ planes and trucks. So far, none of these agreements appear to be in effect as part of the coronavirus response.

Feb. 13, 2020 - China's Y-20 Airlifters Make Crisis Debut Bringing Medics And Cargo To Virus Plagued Wuhan
https://www.thedrive.com/the-war-zone/32200/chinas-y-20-airlifters-make-crisis-debut-bringing-medics-and-cargo-to-virus-plagued-Wuhan

The Chinese People's Liberation Army Air Force, or PLAAF, has conducted a large airlift operation to bring medics and other humanitarian supplies to the city of Wuhan, which is the epicenter of a massive outbreak of a novel coronavirus that began late last year. The force included six of the PLAAF's newest Y-20 airlifters, as well as other aircraft. This comes amid growing criticism, within the country and among the international community, of how authorities have handled the epidemic, which has killed at least 1,355 people in China.

The PLAAF aircraft arrived at Tianhe International Airport in Wuhan on Feb. 13, 2020. In addition to the six Y-20s, three Russian-made Il-76s and two Chinese-built Y-9s also ferried in medical personnel and other cargo. Chinese state media said that the country's Central Military Commission, China's top military body and technically the military wing of the Chinese Communist Party, ordered the airlift.

The airlift force brought 947 personnel and 47 tons of cargo to Wuhan. A total of approximately 1,400 military medical personnel arrived in the city, including via ground transport, according to state media reports. Chinese authorities plan to eventually deploy 2,600 medics from across the People's Liberation Army to the city, where they will help overwhelmed hospitals treat patients with the new strain of coronavirus, known formally as COVID-19. This will bring the total number of PLA medical personnel in Wuhan to approximately 4,000.

The Chinese doctor who tried to warn about coronavirus

Dr Li Wenliang, who was hailed a hero for raising the alarm about the coronavirus in the early days of the outbreak, has died of the infection.

His death was confirmed by the Wuhan hospital where he worked and was being treated, following conflicting reports about his condition on state media.

Dr Li, 34, tried to send a message to fellow medics about the outbreak at the end of December. Three days later police paid him a visit and told him to stop. He returned to work and caught the virus from a patient. He had been in hospital for at least three weeks.

He posted his story from his hospital bed last month on social media site Weibo.

A military operation to combat the Coronavirus
This Tweet explains that for China the fight against the Coronavirus is a military operation:

Part of the military campaign involves control of information according to this Tweet

Here and there one finds that some of those who have leaked information about what they seen, heard or experience about the Corona virus have disappeared. You can see the scene below in this Tweet:

The above is published by a media that about themselves state "Takedown the Chinese Communist Party. The events above also can happen in Europe and the US, just look to Julian Assange:

The next bit of information below was found in this Tweet There is another Tweet not shown but found here, where professor Neil Ferguson from the Imperial College of London is interviewed, and he would rather be too pessimistic than the opposite. His percentages are about the same (60 %), so whether true or false, these are probably numbers we will be hearing frequently until some proper statistics have been allowed outside China, because with military control of information it may not happen so fast.

They say spreading via coughing and sneezing, but perhaps also in other ways considering that Chinese researchers isolate novel coronavirus strains from feces - Xinhua | English.news.cn which has:
According to Zhao, the discovery confirmed that the patients' feces contained the live virus, though it still lacks sufficient evidence for the existence of fecal-oral transmission.

Using a mask and what it does and maybe doesn't
A Tweet carried a picture of a mask.

If one follows the logic of the above drawing, then virus spores should be able to get through the mask, but probably their concentration will be less, but this is a question for a doctor. Coranavirus Situation In Singapore Seems To be Gradually Accelerating, Churches In Singapore Starting To Cancel Mass and Services
Singapore is 76% ethnic Chinese. And they still, after two months, haven't reached 100 cases. Again this virus seems to really only work on a specific combination of people and place. We can only speculate as to whether the infected in Singapore and elsewhere outside China are ethnic Chinese because some universal omertà ('code of silence') seems to be in place regarding ethnic breakdowns of the numbers of infected.

In some individual cases however, ethnicity is implied: the first death in Europe was reported today... of a Chinese tourist.

Is your point in the above post that Zeng and other accounts monitoring the situation closely are posting at least some potentially useful information, although some or much of it is slanted?

The first death reported in Europe today... is of a Chinese tourist.

There is definitely a pattern to this. I quote from the article you linked to:

an 80-year-old Chinese tourist succumbed to the coronavirus at a Paris hospital ...He was put into quarantine, but his condition “had deteriorated rapidly

The patient’s daughter, also suffering from the 2019-nCoV, as the virus is officially called, was also hospitalized, but “her condition is no longer a cause for concern and she is likely to be released soon.”

It seems to affect elderly Chinese the most, and they probably account for most of the deaths so far.

I think the reasonable position is that there is little trustworthy data and that time will tell. Nevertheless, whether the current situation is an overreaction or shadowy navigation, the effects will be coming to us. Global Just-In-Time logistics is very time-dependent and can spread into systemic failure. Stress has already been building in the system and a sustained disruption will obviously affect global industry and economy.

Well, what do you think of this? Did the bio-weapon Coronavirus accomplish what it was set out to do - weaken and isolate China from within? Any mystery "WHO" is behind it?

'The West is winning,' U.S. tells China; France wary
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo speaks at the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany February 15, 2020. REUTERS/Andreas Gebert
U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo defended on Saturday his nation's global role despite misgivings in Europe, vowing that Western values would prevail over Russian and Chinese desires for "empire".

Seeking to reassure Europeans troubled by U.S. President Donald Trump’s “America first” rhetoric, his ambivalence over the NATO military alliance and tariffs on European goods, Pompeo said there was no crisis in Western leadership.

“I’m happy to report that the death of the transatlantic alliance is grossly exaggerated. The West is winning, and we’re winning together,” he said in a speech at the Munich Security Conference, listing U.S. steps to protect liberal democracies.

Pompeo’s Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, accused him of telling “lies, not based on facts” about Beijing’s intentions.

Pompeo had been, in part, responding to German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, who on Friday accused the United States, Russia and China of making the world more dangerous.

French President Emmanuel Macron told the conference of international leaders, lawmakers and diplomats he was not surprised by Steinmeier’s speech and had liked it.

“We cannot be the United States’ junior partner,” Macron said, adding that while he supported NATO, Europe needed to be able to tackle threats in its neighborhood and at times act independently of Washington.

“I’m impatient for European solutions,” Macron said.

Trump’s decision to pull out of the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, as well as the Paris climate accord, have undermined European priorities, while moves such as recognition of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital have weakened European diplomacy, envoys say.

Pompeo defended the U.S. strategy, saying Europe, Japan and other American allies were united on China, Iran and Russia, despite “tactical differences.”

Pompeo, however, reiterated Washington’s opposition to the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline under construction between Russia and Germany under the Baltic Sea, a project backed by the government of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Citing Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea, cyber threats in Iran and economic coercion by China, Pompeo said those countries were still “desiring empires” and destabilizing the rules-based international system.

Wang responded to Pompeo by saying: “All these accusations against China are lies, not based on facts.”

But he added that Beijing was willing to sit down with Washington for “serious dialogue” and seek a less confrontational relationship.

POLICY OF DEFIANCE
Macron said the West’s policy of defiance toward Russia in recent years had failed and, as nobody wanted to confront Moscow directly, the only option was to have a closer dialogue to resolve differences.

“I hear the defiance of all our partners, I’m not mad, but I know that being defiant and weak ... is not a policy, it’s a completely inefficient system,” Macron told the conference.

“There is a second choice, which is to be demanding and restart a strategic dialogue because today we talk less and less, conflicts multiply and we aren’t able to resolve them, he added.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper, who spoke immediately after Pompeo, focused his remarks solely on China, accusing Beijing of a “nefarious strategy” through telecommunications firm Huawei.

“It is essential that we as an international community wake up to the challenges presented by Chinese manipulation of the long-standing international rules-based order,” Esper said.

He said it was not too late for Britain, which last month said it would allow Huawei a limited role in building its 5G networks, to take “two steps back,” but added he still needed to asses London’s decision.

“We could have a win-win strategy if we just abide by the international rules that have been set in place for decades ... that respect human rights, that respect sovereignty,” he said.

U.S. criticism of China is 'lies', foreign minister says

China's State Councillor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi dismissed U.S. criticism of his country as "lies" on Saturday, shortly after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized its foreign policy and desire for "empire".

Well, what do you think of this? Did the bio-weapon Coronavirus accomplish what it was set out to do - weaken and isolate China from within? Any mystery "WHO" is behind it?

I JUST posted my opinion of this here in the Gulags thread;

Very detailed and compelling information and very disturbing. This article had me thinking about my dowsing results and what I posted here on Jan 7.

This is definitely a FWIW. I used my pendulum to ask questions about the virus connecting to the information field. What I got at this point, and I'll ask again later, people's immune systems are very compromised due to the pollution they live in which includes 5G. No bio attack.

I'm going a bit off topic here as I describe a pit fall involved in dowsing and one I'm very aware of as a dowser of 12 years or so. Since using a pendulum has come up in the last months here, I thought that maybe my experience would be helpful for any that may be experimenting or starting the process. I also need to make a correction. After reading this article I examined my question and response, "NO bio attack". The question I asked was, did the US attack China with a bio-weapon. I realize now this question had a subtle emotional charge underlining it which was fear, the answer of NO produced relief from this fear so I'm tossing it out. Here is the pitfall, confirmation bias. A personal bias/emotions interfere with the information field resulting in incorrect answers. One can easily tell oneself what one wants to hear and I've seen it over and over again. I've shared dowsing results maybe twice on the forum over the years but involved topics that were trivial compared to this one.

My apologizes, but a lesson non the less. I've been waiting somewhat to see how my spontaneous decision to share dowsing results would pan out and the glitch in the system has been revealed.

Back to topic. If true its horrific and no wonder my spate of denial.

I'm not sure she is right. If the jel is full of alcohol, then sticking fingers in it should not matter, and the scanner is not in contact with the mask, or the person, but I have no qualification to tell for sure. If she is overreacting,
Thorbiorn, rather than post a string of speculative things, speculating on each speculation as you go, it would be more useful and considerate if you could go through that process of distillation in your own mind and ideally post only your final distillations here. Thanks.
In this particular case, there were two main objectives, to show what China is doing, but also the procedure itself and whether the procedure, as shown on the Twitter clip was efficient, or if the critique offered by the other person was true. I understand that I could either have left it out, or waited until I had solved the problem for which I will need to ask some doctors. Actually I also found the remark about "They don't understand contagion" condescending, an impression I could also have shared. What I could also have done in this case would be to just make one post with only this one issue, and make the point and the question more clear

And for the rest there were also two motivations. The first was an attempt to explore the situation and the lives of the people who live through this experience. For this purpose, unofficial or private recordings of voices and images work better than verbal distillations and state authorized presentations even though I have also used them like in the table of dead and and recovered discharged people.

The second motivation was to relate the portrayed actions to what could happen, if another country was put in lockdown the Chinese way. What is happening in China has implication far beyond China and far beyond whether one scene is 100 % verified as long as it is very likely.

One could hold that there will be a slant in much from unofficial and alleged Chinese sources, especially in a situation where areas have been put in lockdown, and wartime measure to combat the virus and to control the information about it have been taken. To understand the position of official China better also on this issue, I will need to look into the Criminal Law of China to find out what infractions are committed, read more of the Programme of the Communist Party of China, but I have so far only, after reading the recommendation of Xi Jinping begun reading the Communist Manifesto, most of which, according to the introductions, was written in Bruxelles.

There isn't much there that hasn't already been suggested or discarded/debunked.

It is interesting that drones were involved in spreading the disease that killed millions of pigs in China last year. The author implies that the swine virus itself was spread directly across China via this method, but what appears to in fact have been happening was that drones were dropping pieces of previously-infected pork onto pig farms. FWIW, this was reported in China as being the work of criminals seeking to capitalize on the crisis by forcing commercial pig farms to sell off their pigs at lower-than-market price.

Still though, that is one WEIRD story :umm:

The other tidbit I found interesting is the occurrence of a 'pandemic exercise' in NYC in mid-October last year. However, it was not, as the above author claims, held specifically to "simulate a scenario in which a coronavirus pandemic was ravaging the planet," but simply a pandemic. Also, it was a 'virtual exercise', more like a thought game than a full-on street-level exercise.

Latest updates

  • Japan is seeing a big increase in cases now - around c.50 a day over the last couple of days. Looks like a new centre is forming within Japan. However, this could be explained by the plague ship currently moored off Yokohama. In any case, lets keep a close eye on Japan to see how events unfold over the next month. Olympics to be held in Japan later this year.
  • Likewise, Singapore is seeing a massive jump now compared to before. Looks like the healthcare authorities over there have a battle on their hands to keep it all under control.
  • Beijing has ordered a 14 day quarantine for ALL returning to the city. Those who fail to comply will be held accountable according to Law.
  • What's not being reported a lot are a few countries now have fully resolved all their cases - Philippines, Russia, Spain, Belgium etc

Risks of re-infections and risks of false negative results

  • Initial reports are now spreading of re-infections which then lead to heart failure thus resulting in death. Time will reveal this to be either true or false. Watch this space.
  • In addition, it looks like they need to improve the accuracy of the testing as there has now been multiple reports of people being tested multiple times before finally being confirmed as having it.
Exclusive: Chinese doctors say Wuhan coronavi... | Taiwan News (noted the source as potentially not trustworthy but one can't take all their news from chinese friendly sources - a balance must be maintained)

According to the message forwarded to Taiwan News, “It’s highly possible to get infected a second time. A few people recovered from the first time by their own immune system, but the meds they use are damaging their heart tissue, and when they get it the second time, the antibody doesn’t help but makes it worse, and they die a sudden death from heart failure.

The source also said the virus has “outsmarted all of us,” as it can hide symptoms for up to 24 days. This assertion has been made independently elsewhere, with Chinese pulmonologist Zhong Nanshan (鍾南山) saying the average incubation period is three days, but it can take as little as one day and up to 24 days to develop symptoms.

Also, the source said that false negative tests for the virus are fairly common. “It can fool the test kit – there were cases that they found, the CT scan shows both lungs are fully infected but the test came back negative four times. The fifth test came back positive.”

Jijiji, yes she is cute but is it because she is wearing her coat like Santa Greta? :-P

So she is in China now and... nobody around is wearing masks? Life goes normally?
I watched the background closely in the Video, and I do not think Polly is in China.

There are many signs on the shops in English, and lots of caucasian shoppers/tourists.
The background street reminds me of our "Chinatown" here in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
It is the oldest Chinatown in North America.
Any large City in Canada, has a street, or several streets, all filled with exclusively chinese shops, fwiw.

Or, she may be in Honolulu, Hawaii!
There are streets designated "Walking Only", as I did not see any cars in the Video.
