Focus, goals and actions

I wrote a small text where I talk about some observations I'm having in recent months with all that I am living. I do not know if I'm right or not, maybe I do not understand a concept at all, only are some ideas that have emerged. I share with you.

The becoming of a human being depends on his perception of Reality, the proposed objectives and decisions he makes every minute of his life. If a person only perceives what happens and does not act without a specific goal, it generates a contractile process wanes his development capabilities, for the simple fact that it is being consciously active, ie creative. Similarly, if an individual simply acts without focus, driven solely by external circumstances to him as a puppet tied to a wire operated by a puppeteer, we're not talking about a real creative movement, because trends in life have as source fault of him, no hint of real presence and self-consciousness.

It is therefore necessary to work on the perception of Reality and the consequent course of action, and likewise determine internal commitment consists of a series of goals to achieve in order to get a solid start to do-creative. In more concrete terms, it is necessary to create a conscious center of gravity, a internal operations base, to help us centralize our perception, goals in life and how to act on the above two parameters.
Depending on the influences to which we are exposed, we look at our process and integrate experiential and didactic, our learning curve will vary, and impulses or deviations will suffer during that course will lead to a destination or another, each being parametrically different. That's how the Law of Seven. Mouravieff wrote:

“In accordance with this law, as we shall see in a moment, every action is subject to one or more changes in direction and as a consequence is in principle doomed to failure. However, by analyzing the action of the Law of Seven, we shall grasp the character of these deviations, and their necessity from the objective point of view. We shall learn how it is possible to combat these deviations and continue in a constant direction in pursuit of our goals.

[…]

The Law of Seven consists precisely in the fact that any movement, once launched, undergoes a deviation at a certain moment and then, after going a certain distance in the new direction, another deviation, then yet again. If the initial impulse is strong enough, by its last deviation after tracing a Hexagon the movement comes back to the point where it started. Thus, under the influence of the Law of Seven, every action generated in the Universe unfolds in cycles.

Definition: Any movement that begins in a given direction undergoes a deviation at a certain moment.

Conversely: For a movement going towards a definite goal to continue without deviation in the same direction, it is necessary to impart to it adequate additional impulses at specific moments and points.

Corollary: If left to itself, by the third deviation a movement which follows a definite direction is found to be going in the diametrically opposite direction.

These are the essential characteristics of the Law of Seven.”

If we act in pursuit of Consciousness and thus creativity, we generate the energy needed to produce the pulses corresponding to inner development. When we get stuck, paralyzed psychologically (read negative dissociation / evasion of reality and of itself), either for any reason, regardless if it is subjectively considered good or bad-that concerns us live, sometimes slowly or rapidly-, our learning curve takes a direction which by its nature tends to clashing with the initial goal we have set ourselves.

One could argue then that if only we focus on something we want to achieve without acting accordingly, inevitably we headed to the opposite direction. Although we do nothing, we are always moving.

So the question of Will becomes inescapable. The Will is the force of Consciousness manifested in the becoming of Being. Gurdjieff made a comment about what the man mechanic thinks about the Will:

"In the mechanical man, lack the will, there is more than wishful thinking, and what is called strong or weak will is only the degree of permanence of their desires, their desire."

Depending on our level of Consciousness-frame determined by exogenous and endogenous understanding of Reality and a determination to learn from the experience-our Will is more or less solid.

The following diagram is an approximation of what it means to develop awareness.

The basis of the scheme represents the Perceptual Horizon of Objective Reality as such, each individual perceives Reality differently depending on his level of Consciousness.

The different sized rectangles symbolize the perceptual reach each level of Consciousness. Its limits represent each state Perceptual Horizon Consciousness. Viewed this way we can conceive better idea of limitations in which humanity is subjected. Recall that, as Mouravieff said about the General Law and its objective limits, "within these limits, very restricted objectively but subjectively seem vast, man can give free rein to their fantasies and ambitions". The mechanical man, believing free within the spiral of unconscious influences that found, believe that there is nothing beyond these influences to which it is constantly exposed, and even fewer can discern the different types available with which to crash. The string focus-goal-action, not being strong in any of the components of the triad, blurs the being-clarity like dirty glass distorts the light rays.

Both higher the level of Consciousness, in turn, of Being-, the greater the scope regarding Perceptual Horizon, ie, the greater his understanding and perception of reality, and at the same strength of Will will be stronger for continue learning.

All in all, in order to develop the seed of the Soul, it is necessary to begin the transformation of the perception we have of life as a whole from achieving the objectives we established and acting accordingly. Make every experience lived by trivial it may seem, we provide small changes that I will gradually consolidating a full and permanent.

PD: Can any mod place the images where corresponds, please? I do not know.

It's funny that I've been thinking about this myself.
In fact, I had a conversation about this with a friend just before I read what you wrote.

I was thinking about the expansion of perception and consciousness and the importance of knowledge and self transformation for it to happen.
The idea that I came to is that when you are focused on the effort of seeing reality as it is you start a process of learning that is fed by the experiences you live and the information that you acquire. The information you acquire shapes the experience in a certain way, as what you see from the experience depends on what you CAN see, and this depends in what you have learned so far. Information comes in, but one needs to do a conscious effort of understanding it actively and connecting it to every other information that you have gathered about reality for it to become consciousness. And here I'm thinking about what the Cs said about the consciousness shaping the information.

This process of learning becomes a live cycle in which one thing gives the feedback to the other. In other words, the information combined with experience which becomes wider and deeper thanks to previous information and experiences (and understanding), amplifies the amount of reality that you can see and understand, and this continues to make the experience even "wider" and deeper as you understand more about it, and therefore you can learn more from each experience because you can take more from it.

In this sense, I was thinking as well in the "universe" observing/experiencing itself through us and all that exists, and our role as conscious beings. I had this idea that as we expand our consciousness and become more and more aware of reality as it is, we become better "eyes for the universe" so to say... as we can see more and more each time. And it really is expansion in contrast to contraction: when you live in a bubble of illusions and you actually see less and less, and what follows is the disintegration of the Self and more mechanicity.

And now I'm thinking about the well-known quote by Laura that says that you become what you give to live, which is connected to what you said Álvaro... You become what you give to live, so if you have the objective of understanding yourself and reality and you make conscious efforts to do so, then life will give you feedback in that way.

well.. I hope it makes sense. :P

Thanks for sharing Álvaro! :flowers:

Yes, yes and YES!

The above posts gives rise to a hypothesis that if an individual does not have goals and planned goaled actions in their life than it is
probable for the individual to experience repeated past patterns of experience creating a cyclic cycle of reoccurring experiences continuously experienced throughout their life. For example my mother she does not care or want to learn anything - so she declares, indicating that if one does not want to learn one will remain stagnant and without an aim/goal will keep the stagnation or cyclic nature and now for a minimal example my mother now lives with a new boyfriend with the same first name of her EX husband and has the same street name that use to be the name of the street she lived in with her EX husband implying a somewhat cyclic repeated pattern of experiences she has already lived through possibly because she has not an aim at anything beyond what she has not already experienced in her life.
