A small group of these great scientists, gathered in an experiment, put a trained and very obedient spider on a ping pong table.
They gave it the order to jump to the other side of the net.
The spider jumped beautifully, remaining on the other side of the net, waiting for new orders.
The scientists removed one of its legs and ordered it to jump again. She was able to jump without any problem.
They took out another leg, but she was able to jump at the order of "jump spider", although with less and less elegance.
When she had only one leg left, she had a hard time, but she managed to jump.
These wretches took out her last leg, and said, "Spider, jump!
The spider did not jump.
They repeated the order louder and louder, "jump spider, jump spider!
And the spider did not jump.
The scientists then wrote down the conclusions of the experiment:
When spiders lose all their legs, they become deaf.

...and so the spider learned its last 2D lesson.
It was finally able to graduate and explore 3D existence.
In 5D, it carefully selected its first human family.
On January 8th 1988, Spidy was born to Marta and Henry.
As a kid, Spidy showed tremendous interest for spiders.
Spidy's parents had to make room for his ever-increasing collection of arachnids.
Eventually, Spidy became a scientist.
One day, Spidy walked into a laboratory.
