Hot Sauce!

Mr. Premise

The Living Force
Experimenting with an anti-inflammatory hot sauce recipe (I miss hot peppers!):

3 tablespoons fresh coarsely ground pepper
5 tablespoons fresh ground mustard seed
1 tablespoon ground turmeric
1 teaspoon salt
Juice of 2 ounces ginger
Juice of 1 clove garlic
Dropper full of Stevia extract (hot sauces need some sweetness)
1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

It's not there yet, but it's a start. Could probably use more ginger

I love hot sauce too, thanks for the recipe! I haven't managed to get rid of peppers from my life yet (my grandfather grows them), but I sure am sick of getting a nasty capsaicin burn whenever I try to clean them!

My brain doesn't really think in terms of ounces, so would that be a two-inch piece of ginger? Maybe a tad of coriander would be nice, too.

So, would I just mix all of the ingredients together and eat it raw, or would I have to boil it first?

Sorry about the ounces, cups, tablespoons, etc.

A two inch piece of ginger came out to about one ounce. One ounce (weight) = 28 mg

A tablespoon is about 15 milliliters. A teaspoon is a third of a tablespoon, so about 5 ml. A US Cup = 0.28 liters.

Well, my brain doesn't think in terms of the metric system, either, since I'm an American. :P I only learned to bake in terms of volume. But thank you for the conversions! These will be useful the next time I have to look through another German cookbook.

I think I'll try making the recipe the next time I make crepes, and I'll let you know how that goes.
