I guess it is something like that, but this time i think the C´s could give us a little more input about the nature of why the jellyfish shape and this green light (like propulsion jet or something) fenomena.
There is a lot of paranormal things an most of the time relate with the approching of the wave and the thining of the vail, but the nature of such things is variable, for example:
Ghost: they appear beacuse of the thining of the vail in consecuence of the wave approching, but they are souls, thats what they are.
Light Sphere UFO: they appear because the same reasons, but they are "ships" or some kind of 4D vehicle that is observing or monitoring somthing, but we know what they are.
Black eyed childre, monsters, chupacabras, etc, etc: They appear because a window is open between their dimension and ours, more frequently because the wave is approching, but thay all are window fallers, we still know what they are.
An so i can keep going, so what i would like to know about this jellyfish UFO is: What is the nature of this thing, what it is?, it is energy? it is a manifestation of a window between two dimensions?, it is an apparatus of any kind?, it is an entity?

To me it looks like an atmospheric plasma formation. These are shapes that light up because there is a strong electrical current flowing which ionizes the air. Because plasma is a fluid with emergent qualities, the shape tends to take on symmetrical, fractal-like properties. I wish I could find the webpage that talked about them.

In this case I agree with the comments on Sott's article. It appears to be yet again an internal lens reflection, of the spherical abberation kind which produces an optical caustic, which always have jellyfish-like appearance. In such pictures there is always one ore more bright light sources, and the 'jellyfish' always point exactly into the direction of the light source. See other examples attached (Flickr source here).
One should not forget that camera lenses are complex and can produce all kinds of artefacts:
Some even made an photographic art out of caustics.
This is one example why it is so important in the elusive UFO Phenomenon to filter the signal out of the noise (meaning: recognizing, analyzing and naming the possible noise).
