I have been following the story of Kenneth Law since it hit the news. He sold a legal substance online and people used it to end their lives. I did not believe he was responsible for how people chose to use the product he sold.
Is the knife seller responsible for a self inflicted death by knife?
Is the gun seller responsible for a self inflicted death by gun?
How about alcohol? Or physician prescribed medication?

"In their application, Crown lawyers argue that standard, which they contend shifts focus onto the victim's intent from the accused's actions, may make it practically "impossible" to prosecute cases where the victim dies, since their intent may be unknowable."

"That ruling suggests a person may only be liable for murder if they both provided a person who committed suicide with the lethal substance but also "overbore the victim's freewill in choosing suicide.""

I was surprised to see a law, for Kenneth Law, regarding free will. Isn't Life ironic?
