The answer to happiness is simple (spoiler alert: answer below):

What keeps us happy and healthy as we go through life? If you think it's fame and money, you're not alone – but, according to psychiatrist Robert Waldinger, you're mistaken. As the director of 75-year-old study on adult development, Waldinger has unprecedented access to data on true happiness and satisfaction. In this talk, he shares three important lessons learned from the study as well as some practical, old-as-the-hills wisdom on how to build a fulfilling, long life.

Main factor for happiness: Social relationships (family, friends, community)
Secondary factor for happiness: Quality of those relationships

Lack in both factors contributed to illness.

Surprise, surprise! :) :hug2:

Very interesting. Thank you for sharing this, Data. Happiness is something that need your entirely participation, and asks you presence and a little effort. I went today in a second hand store where sometimes I bought little things, today we were 5 women and we talked about this, also, how friendship is one of the most important thing in a life. How a good friend can make a difference in your life. Friends are so important and to have a good friend is really the best gift that life can give to you. But you need to implicated yourself in the friendship and today people do not have time for others, time to listen to others, time to think about life and what is important in life. Love, compassion, simplicity and understanding is what makes you happy and makes others happy also!

Happiness is partly determined by heredity, genes and the environment, and one part is under our influence.
