Methane leak in California, Advice for preparing ourselves for 2016.

I went into more detail about some thoughts and questions about this huge methane leak at this link.

Since they seem to have predicted it, I'd like to know what they say about it. Also, it seems like things are snowballing pretty quickly, and I'm not sure exactly what to do in my life right now to prepare myself for these future events. I am aware they may not come for some time, but it seems like the stage is set in Europe for some bad things, and the stage is set on the west coast and perhaps yellowstone to cause alot of problems. What can we do?

Pick an impending disaster for the area closest to where you live. Research everything about what everyone is saying about likelihoods. Read some preparedness threads on the forum. Do some risk assessments or project some likely probabilities and their worst-case scenarios. Make plans to survive with those in mind. When feeling somewhat confident, repeat above steps to help others who seem unable or unwilling to do the same. Questions?
