What if the Internet goes down? What if servers go ‘quiet’ and so does FB and Twitter and even our Forum? Can people use their mobiles and communicate via local wireless and Bluetooth? The answer is yes, providing there are enough people within the comms radius. The idea was already implemented 10 years ago in the rural Greece where internet was not available, via the FireChat App. This app was so successful that it was used during various social uprisings, reason for, in 2018 it was terminated. I am not the prepper type. I am rather the find alternatives and adjust accordingly type. I know, this type of communication might infringe some of the Forum rules, but I would like to ask the Admins to consider a communication rule ‘formula’ to allow off Forum communication between board members should our ‘normal’ be disrupted.
