Pictures of waves

The Living Force
I had a period in 2001-2003 where all I ever drew was waves, in school, on my shoes, on my walls. Some kind of wake up call. only a few images remain.

In interest of images of waves in general, I invite you to share waves here:

I've always felt that I shared a connection with the waves also and I love your pictures. In my opinion you've got some great creative, artistic talent. May you indulge it. :)

We can not explain about the beauty of waves. waves are so beautiful, the thing is that how you are capturing the moment. I am sharing a picture here that I have captured in Havana beach.

That last picture is intense Freyr.
This isn't profound but a wave and waves are the same thing.
I hope this isn't more noise but the surfing woman doesn't seem dressed for surfing and yet she belongs to what she what she's doing up there. Just creative and to me very funny in a good way.

When I discovered SHotW and this place in october '09, so I was naturally thrilled to see:

A: The wave is coming, you are teaching people to surf it instead of being dragged under and out to stormy seas.

...
I hope this guy is on his way inside

Naturally. :D

Yea, I couldn't help but notice the picture of the woman surfing the wave and think of Laura.

It seemed a while back that i would continually would have dreams of massive waves, cresting but never breaking. And or large body's of water moving in land from the boundary's of the shore line. Like a surge of water as if it just suddenly crept up out no where. And the recent movie's "2012" as well as "The Day After" played off that idea of the mega monster waves of biblical proportion.

Interesting!

I have a picture of "The Great Wave off Kanagawa" (Manuel's avatar) by Hokusai that has followed me around for years.. I bought it just after I left home and have moved 8 times since then! Normally I have completely different decor wherever I move, but this is the only picture that I've kept all this time. It's in my living room now :D
