I was wondering if it's possible to ask personal questions privately so as to protect one's privacy? I have a question which although might apply to others, is personal and potentially identifying to me.

Just a thought - there's also the swamp and family life sections of the forum which are more private and are accessible to you now that you have over 50 posts. Networking personal issues there can be helpful. If you're concerned about privacy issues maybe framing things generically would work, particularly if your situation could in some ways apply to others?
