Ships of Light – The Carlos Diaz UFO Experience

A Disturbance in the Force
This is one of my favourites. so I made an article on the case.

In January 1981 on a dark road in Ajusco Park, near Mexico City, Carlos was on an assignment for a magazine, and waiting for a journalist who had not yet arrived. It was a misty morning and it was not easy to see far, but suddenly his attention was drawn to what he first thought was a forest fire, down in the valley below. When he took a closer look he could see it was an orange oval shaped very large UFO, and it was hovering about 30 meters in front of his car. Carlos had a 35mm still camera that he used at work with him, and while resting his hands at the steering wheel, he managed to get of a few shots of the UFO. Then the car began to shake and Carlos had to get out, but he was still able to take a few more shots before the craft took of vertically into the sky. Carlos was left in a state of shock after this UFO encounter, but it was only the beginning of a long series of encounters to come in the future. Now 20 years after this sighting, the Carlos Diaz case still baffles the top of the world UFO researchers and scientists. Carlos Diaz had an encounter with UFOs that changed his life forever. 20 years later, the contacts continue.Eyewitnesses including journalists, scientists and the Mayor of Mexico City have now encountered this phenomenon. Carlos is poor, he has no computer, the images he has shot is from a video camera, Jaime Maussan had given him. Diaz had apparently no access to CGI equipment, nor has he the knowledge or the experience, on how to make this kind of animated graphics. Carlos never made any money of his experiences and as he says, he only want to let people know what he has been witness to. That we need to take care of Mother Earth and protect our wildlife, before it is too late.

An excellent documentary have been produced by Michael Hesemann. Between 1994 and 2000, Hesemann made several trips to Mexico and visited Carlos Diaz and his family to investigate in this extraordinary sighting. The documentary is about Carlos Diaz, and his experience with the extraterrestrial encounters.

Prof. Dr. John Mack (October 4, 1929 – September 27, 2004):
was an American psychiatrist, writer, and professor at Harvard Medical School. He was a Pulitzer Prize-winning biographer, and a leading authority on the spiritual or transformational effects of alleged alien abduction experiences. He was a graduate of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute and was certified in child and adult
psychoanalysis. The dominant theme of his life's work has been the exploration of how one's perceptions of the world affect one's relationships. He addressed this issue of "world view" on the individual level in his early clinical explorations of dreams, nightmares and teen suicide, and in A Prince of Our Disorder, his biographical study of the life of British officer T. E. Lawrence, for which he received the Pulitzer Prize for Biography in 1977.

Prof. Auguste Meessen:
Auguste Meessen was born in 1932 near the Belgian-German border. He studied physics at UCL and after his PhD, he served two years as "Research Associate at MIT, USA. In 1962 he was hired at UCL, where he became professor. He taught quantum mechanics, theoretical physics and mathematical physics and solid state physics education. He made a series of teaching assignments abroad and became emeritus in 1996. He was interested especially for issues concerning the foundations of physics (such as the quantification of space-time) and he was concerned with societal issues that involve the responsibility of scientists (such as the arms race). Since 1972 he has also engaged in finding a rational solution to the problem of UFOs, from the facts observed and known physical laws.

Nathan came to the California Institute of Technology as a graduate student in 1952. He earned a Ph.D. in crystallography in 1955 and soon found himself running CalTech's fledgling computer centre, where he received a good grounding in the potential of digital computers. In 1959, he went to JPL to help develop imaging equipment to map the moon. When he saw the Russian pictures of the far side of the moon, he thought he could do better and began developing digital techniques for image enhancement using a small NCR 102D computer.

Colin Andrews is an electrical engineer by profession and was a principle official in British Regional Government during the 1970’s and 80’s. He became involved in the crop circle mystery in 1983 when he saw an arrangement of five circles in a wheat field near Winchester, England. Intrigued by the engineering aspects, he began investigating the circles with Pat Delgado, a retired NASA engineer and Busty Taylor a light aircraft pilot.

Hi Squiip,

Welcome to our forum. :)

We recommend all new members to post an introduction in the Newbies section telling us a bit about themselves, how they found the cass material, and how much of the work here they have read.

You can have a look through that board to see how others have done it.

I certainly don't hope I did anything wrong by posting this ?
Just trying to get acquainted, not to offend anyone by just spamming.

You did not otherwise we would have told you in a gentle way. ;)

And my post was just to encourage you to post an intro in order that the members of this forum will have a chance to know you a little bit more.

I watched this today, curious to catch up on Diaz. The main body of material covers 1991-1993, with visits by Shirley McClaine and live footage of John Mack who investigated this also. This title:

"Ships of Light and Alien Contact - Full Length Feature Film"

is misleading, as only two voices in the entire film mention anything related to 'extra-terrestrial.' Carlos Diaz himself does not make the suggestion of anything extra-terrestrial, so the 'experience' may be getting skewed by parties like the "UFO network" and the TV Reporter, simply because of their own biases. The locals support Diaz, according to the film, as many of them have seen these objects over their lives, and are glad that Diaz is documenting the phenomenon, including the Mayor of their city. One interviewer suggests that the odd figures painted in a nearby church hundreds of years ago are the same. So not your typical UFO film, maybe more hyper-dimension/density friendly than these usually are. For example Diaz feels a crush of love in his chest for these, and locals have a mythos that the Mayans predicted the solar eclipse of 1991 would change the world, they interpret to maybe be the idea that the truth about the lights would be made public at last. So I give it a "above average," with curiosity.

cheers

P

I'm sorry but Diaz's story it's an old one and it's bogus. The 'plasma crafts' were real and very impressive, but he sort of stole pictures and videos from other mexican ufo researchers and forged videos where he was claiming to have entered (together with his camera!) a spaceship directly from his garden... I've met him at one of his conferences in Italy, and it was the most embarrassing fake I ever had to endure. He was out and tripping the world only for his own ego and to make money.

Years ago there were many references out on the www about his forgeries, haven't checked if they are online as yet. Only thing I know and watched as it went on and on, it's that he hooked many 'ufo researchers' around, those kind of people with a seemingly outstanding knowledge about the ufo phenomenon, but always lacking 'the crux of the matter' gift. Same old Newageish stuff, so far.

Thanks dantem; Wow. John Mack fooled, duped, or accomplice? I wonder if he will be hiding on Dec 22?
Hmm. Your words ring true. I kind of wondered if checking up on wassup since 1993 with Diaz mighta been a good idea before I posted. I don't know a lot about ufos outside Dolan's timeline. Thanks for the info.

Lol! You're welcome, Potamus :)

Those times were stressing, the guy was everywhere as he hooked a rather known Ufo's magazine Director, gathering people on top of 'energetic' hills and meet the aliens (no craft was nice enough to show up though).. I nicked him 'Popper Ubiquitous'!
