I observed a similar situation when going from Vienna to Zurich via night train. The problem is that a lot of (maybe illegal) migrants are heading forward to Switzerland. And Switzerland tries to be strict. Somewhere I read that some nations are gathering in special countries. On the Swiss border, several people were taken out for questioning regarding papers, first three and then two more. Two of the five did not return.
When I was waiting for the train in Vienna (similar story was told by my granddaughter and later on my daughter as well) I saw a group of young men - maybe Afghanistans - leaded by a man who obviously had the order to bring them somewhere (to Suisse?). They had nothing with them.
The train was delayed and at the border to Suisse there is always a break - engine changed, train checked etc. - and the Suisse picked them out. They were not as many in Vienna. The conductor told me that there had been some trouble with some persons already in Linz, thats why we were delayed, police had to come, probably some of migrants where hiding somewhere.
Migrants are only aloud to move free in a certain district. But conductors have no right to control. According to my granddaughter these persons behaved very nasty, trying to get in a sleeping car, causing the conductor much trouble.
Some days ago there was a report that about 86,000 persons came to Austria as refugees, about 27,000 never showed up anywhere. They simply disappear . . .
