Thinking of name for fictional group that follow the fourth way

Hi all,

I have been trying to think of a cool name for a group of characters (6 women, to be precise) who follow the Fourth Way in a fictional work of mine. Thought I'd see if anyone had any interesting suggestions? So far, I have "the Vulcans", relating to how Paracelsus introduced the Greek mythological figure of Vulcan into alchemy as the creative potential inside oneself, capable of releasing humanity from darkness. But "the Vulcans" sounds a bit like a bunch of cocky young fighter pilots or the name for some testosterone-lathered sports team.

Can anyone think of a better name for a bunch of characters who follow the Fourth Way? You will undoubtedly be credited, of course! :)

How about the obvious...Foreigners.....if you use it I need no credit. Have fun, would love to read it when done.

The thing that came to my mind was to do a play on words on metaphores used to understand the Fourth Way:
- horse, carriage, etc: Equis, Equinites
- rooms in a house: Camerata, Tricamerites

Hope this helps

Alternatively how about something innocuous and without direct meaning to make it sound accessible. ie something in common about where they meet up, a cafe or house, a tree, road etc. ie they are are pretty normal people, you could join too, you just have to turn up to 4th street etc. Of course it depends on the context.

Or the name of something they have all sacrificed to follow the fourth way. What would that be?

or something to remind them to stay awake?..'clocks'?

Maybe too cheesy, but how about:

Merlin's sisters

It might get confused with a sisterhood of Merlin, which implies a hierarchy, or devotee-ism, though.

Have them meet at an inn called "The Shiny Nail", "Rusty Nail" (pub name?) Even a band name: "Six Blacksmiths and a Horse."

Have a (amongst themselves) nickname of "Iron Maidens".

Just off the top of my head....

Gimpy
also a writer

What I thought of may sound extreme but I thought of hexstream (even came up with a convenient rhyme LOL! :D catchy aint it? ROFL)

6 gals - Hex
side of the fence(?), polarity - stream

Will these be the heroes of the story? I dunno hex kinda makes it sound too vodoo, witch like.. but then maybe that is not a bad thing it does take a stereotype head on. Sounds pretty awesome I can't wait to read (experience) it. BTW the final collapse is quite an experience.

Vulcan is the latin name of Greek god Hephaestus. You can call them Hephaestus' daughters or sisters, if you want to keep the same concept, and it sounds more mystical than muscles and attitude as i see it ;)

Argh! So many good suggestions!

Thank you so much to everyone for throwing in their ideas.

I have decided to name the leader of the group (previously named Amelia) Sophia, because she represents wisdom in Gnosticism. Thank you to freetrinity for that one!
Still deciding for the group name, but since everyone had so many good ideas, they will probably be included one way or another, somewhere along the line.

Thanks again everyone! :)

I'm late.

Eye's before Eve

Eye's as in the 'real' I and that they are trying or working toward developing this 'real' I that humanity had before the fall. Also that 'Eve' can be taken as eve meaning (my dictionary) - the evening or the day before a special day - the period immediately preceding. So both eye's and eve are a somewhat play on words and visually are similar.
