Help needed to make sure that these are proper translations for these names (Zelensky Volodymir and Vladimir Putin) in Ukrainian :
- " zele nsky volody mir" : the evil one owns the world
- "vlad imir putin" : putin reigns supreme

Both translations are false.

Vladimir, in slavic languages means: the ruler of the world, or ruler of the piece. Vladi is "to rule" and mir is "the world" in some slavic languages and "the piece" in others.

Anyway, it reminds me something I read in a book by Romuald Leterrier (Se souvenir du futur or Souvenirs de l'au-delà, I don't remember). The author stumbled upon a bug in Google translate where when you typed some random characters (ghhldiddd, for example), Google translated it in a whole sentence that made sense.

So the author began to experiment with it, using it like some divination tool, an advanced fortune cookie or customized I Ching, if you want. He asked a question in his head while typing some random characters, and the funny thing is that the answer was relevant or related to the question asked.

However, this little experiment was soon over since this bug was fixed. But the author reflected upon what was at play here.
